Level Wide Conference Room
|
Antigone strolled into the conference room, arms laden with files. Dropping them down in front of HER chair, teehee, she plopped down and let out a huff, blowing hair out of her face. Headmaster Tate should be along any moment and she was ready to get down to brass tacks. |
Now here was the annoying part of his job... paperwork and answered to boring hacks who never saw the sun. Why should they have any power over him? Oh, right. They didn't. "I got an owl from a McArdle?" He paused in the doorway. "They told me to come here." |
Hearing a rather lovely voice Antigone sat up a bit straighter in her chair and turned to see... oh my... he was yummy wasn't he. Seems it wasn't just the Ministry that was growing hot guys. Teehee. Giving him a tight smile she said, "I am McArdle. But I prefer to be called either Miss McArdle or Antigone the choice is yours." She put on her game face then and rose from her chair, extending a hand to the man. "It's a pleasure to finally meet you, do come in and have a seat we have a lot to talk about," she told him in a level tone. |
"No fancy titles and elaborate ways to stick me with a quill?" Tate quipped as he slid into a seat nearest the door while still managing to face it. He was at ease in the room, even offering the woman a smile, but his posture was alert. "It is not my intention to antagonize you, Miss McArdle, but I feel pressed for time and I'm not really sure what you hope to accomplish today. If we can jump right to the bit of action...?" |
Okay if he wanted to be rude and ignore her offered hand that was fine by her, she would get down to business. Sitting her little behind right back into her chair she furrowed her brow and began to thumb through a file. "Well, Mr. Tate I wish to speak with you about the current state of Hogwarts. I was just confronted by a frantic employee who has recently received a letter saying that children have been wandering up seriously wounded. Do you care to explain that?" she said as she turned her eyes back to the man and stared a hole in him. Clearing her throat and easing her gaze up a bit she leaned forward, placing her elbows on the table. "Look, we have the same concerns here, the safety of those children. There is no reason we can't work together here. I think it was a great choice, hiring you as Headmaster, you seem to be a no nonsense kind of man and I admire that. YOu understand that I need to do my job as well. My employees and I have been looking into the staff members, trying to see where there may be some trouble," she told him, again diverting her attention. |
"I believe the staff is not to blame, although we haven't yet pinned down the culprit. I have several of them working on various aspects of the investigation. While I welcome your input, I can assure you... we have things well in hand." He rolled his shoulders and glanced at the door before glancing back at the woman with a rueful smile. "There have been about 6 children who have odd, unexplainable injuries. Nothing consistent with normal wear and tear." |
Antigone narrowed her eyes at the man and chuckled a bit. "Well, Headmaster, seeing as I head the Ministry's Education Department it is my duty to see to it that Hogwarts is running efficiently and that those children are safe. So, if you please, I will continue to do my job. Either you can cooperate with me, or not. That is of course your choice. Our investigating your staff members is not just about recent incidents. I am simply curious to know who is working there and what they are up to," she said in a level tone, although she felt like shouting at the man. Noticing his glancing at the door she smirked, "Am I keeping you, sir? Is there something more important you need to be doing other than speaking to a Ministry official about the safety of the children under your care?" She tried with little luck to keep the shock off her face when he announced that six children had been harmed. |
Oh. Touchy. He appreciated the feistiness. "Not keeping me. I'm just trained to be vigilant and I don't find I feel particularly safe at the Ministry. Someone out there is stalking my students and hurting them, and it isn't a stretch to imagine that taking me out would give them better access. So..." He glanced at the door again. Lock it? "I'm not sure why you believe I don't want to cooperate. I've answered your questions and given you solid and true information." |
Antigone fought the urge to roll her eyes at the man. She instead unholstered Precious and flicked her toward the door, slamming closed and locking it. "There, how is that?" she asked him very insincerely. Tunring her full gaze on the man now she said in a grave voice, "I feel as though you aren't being completely forthcoming with the information you are sharing with me, Headmaster. I can't help but feel as though you are holding back." She sighed dejectedly... some people just had serious issues with Ministry workers... Trying to lighten up a bit she pulled her feet up into her chair and smiled tightly. "Now, it would be nice to know what you intend to do about the current state of Hogwarts, Headmaster Tate," she told him in a much sweeter voice. Flies and honey and all that. |
"I intend to keep them alive and to prevent any more from getting injured than absolutely necessary. I intend to find the source of this disturbance and turn him or her over to you. Perhaps you can enlighten me as to what the Ministry sees as a course of action." |
Now he was a bit touchy! Hehe. Sighing Antigone summoned forward two bottles of water from the mini fridge in the corner. Catching the both of them she slid one across the conference table and said, "Look, Headmaster, I am not trying to tell you how to do your job, or even bashing you on the job you are doing. I commend you for handling things with such a level head. I am simply curious as to whether you have put forth any extra security measures or anything of the like. We would not hesitate to place Aurors around the school and Hogsmeade if that is what you wanted. I am simply trying to get a clear view of things, sir." She unscrewed the cap of her water bottle and drank deeply. He was quite the looker, but that stinky attitude ruined him in her opinion. FOCUS, Antigone! Shaking away the silly thoughts she smiled and said, "I would personally have no idea what course of action to take, sir. That is why you are head of the school and I a Ministry employee. I was simply asking what plans you had in place. If there is nothing more that you want to share with me then you are free to go." She straightened up in her chair and put her feet back on the floor. "But I do intend to call several of your employees into the Ministry over break. There are some questionable people working in that school and I need to meet with them to decide whether they are serving the best interest of the children's educations, Headmaster," she said with a smirk that clearly stated Try and stop me.. nananananana. Teehee. "Also I expect to see you back in here after the term has ended. We are going to have some more to discuss come that time," she added as she rose from her chair and waited for him to do the same. |
"We have put in a few extra measures. Increased patrols, increased vigilance, and an extra staff member," Tate mused, taking a long pull from the water bottle. "As for the rest of my staff, they're good people. The children love them and they are consummate professionals. I don't appreciate the implication that they are somehow unworthy to be there, but I will permit them to come speak to you so that you can see that the staff at Hogwarts couldn't be better." And because they were somehow done, Tate rose from his chair in a flash. That was fast. |
Antigone momentarily floundered around in her head... Allow... did he just say he would allow me to do something. Narrowing her eyes a bit she brought herself up to her highest height and said in an icy tone, "Well, thank you so much, Mr. Tate. I would hate to do something without your expressed permission. Now you are dismissed, but know that I will be seeing you again at end of term." With that she turned on her heel and headed toward the door. Stopping with her hand on the knob she looked back over her shoulder and said, "You know Headmaster it is a shame that you have such a bad attitude. We could have worked well together. Now, I am sure you can show yourself out." With those lovely parting words she opened the door and stormed out, heading back toward her office. |
HE had the bad attitude? Clearly he had a mirror pasted to his forehead and the woman failed to recognize herself. Tate gathered himself and strolled back out the door and toward the lift. |
----------------------------------- Leo had been arranging the room all morning, getting a new table and chairs and making sure there was enough light in here for what they were going to do. Infront of every chair was an easel, propped upon that was a blank canvas, ready to be used. There were also empty jam jars which were now used as brush holders. Ofcourse, you can't do any painting done without paint, so many a paint tubes were somewhat dumped onto the table. Have fun searching for the one you want. In one corner, away from the round table, is a smaller table full with things to eat. Breakfast had been prepared and made appear, for all the employees to enjoy. There's coffee, tea, sandwiches and FRUIT, ofcourse. Looking around to see that everything was inplace, Leo nodded and waited for his team to come inside. |
Looking tired, for he had been suffering from that insomnia again, Ryan walked in the conference room and stopped for a moment at the entance to check his tie. If one failed to sleep the whole night, wearing clothes in the morning was getting harder to deal with. Hopefully the tie was ok so he made his way further into the conference room which now looked like an art course class. ''Cool'' he murmured to himself as he examined the paint tubes on a table and once he looked up away from them the man realised his boss' presence. ''Ah, sorry'' he really needed to sleep or do soething maybe drinking a potion ''Good morning Mr Buena'' |
Leo had opted to stand and stare at the wall, like he usually did, but turned around when he heard someone come in...and he looked a bit tired. But the man, he knew was Ryan, seem to appreciate the things in the room, which was good fun. Scratching his chin amused, he waited for the Division Head to notice him...and he did. Hehehe. "Good Morning, Mr Chambers. How are you today?" Yeah, he could see the tiredness in his face, and he hoped it might vanish with some coffe. Or waffles. "Would you like some breakfast while we wait for everyone else?" He gestured to the little table in the corner. There was COFFEE. Hint hint. Hehe. |
Ronan walked into the conference room after receiving the memo from the Department Head earlier in the day. He rubbed at his eyes trying to stay awake but realizing that since his sleeping patterns had become a little more interrupted, it was harder to do so. *BIG YAWN* "Good Morning Mr Buena, Mr Chambers." Ronan said with a polite nod to both men. He glanced over to the table of breakfast foods, having opted to skip it that morning. "I trust you both are well?" |
Quote:
He gestured towards the breakfast table he saw Ronan eyeing. "Please, feel free to get some food into your stomach. We'll being soon, gotta give the other's time to get here." Hard working as these two men were, no wonder they were here first. Hehe. |
Quote:
"First the Job Fair, and my wife and I welcomed twins into the world about a week or so back." When the Department Head mentioned food, the young man's stomach gave a low growl ready for the sustainence it would receive in a matter of minutes. "Of course, thank you so much. It all looks delicious." Ronan said with a final smile before heading over to pick out some breakfast for himself. |
Seraphina glided into the conference room wearing an old black t-shirt dress and her favorite comfy pair of red (faux) dragon hide boots. The dress was a little tight, but it was comfortable and she didn't mind getting it dirty. She smiled around at her co-workers, excited to finally be getting more involved in the program. "Good morning gentlemen, director" she smiled radiantly, brushing her long blonde hair behind her ear. |
Quote:
It touched Leo, it really did. He smiled at Ronan and was utterly elated to hear he had seen the MIRACLE OF BIRTH. Hehe. "Oh, I'm so happy to hear such wonderful news, Ronan. Congratulations, eh?" He watched as the man went off to get some breakfast, right as... Quote:
"Good Morning, Mrs Nyx. Lovely to see you here. Ready to get painting?" He asked with a bright smile. "I do encourage you to get something to eat while we wait for the others." Again, he gestured towards the breakfast table at the corner. |
Quote:
|
sorry for the late reply. i cannot be as active as i used to be. my pc broke down :( ''I am fine. Thank you'' Ryan replied the Department Head kindly. Maybe he was tired but there was no need to demonstrate it openly for he was in a conference room so he should have looked ready to work. Then when Mr Buena mentioned breakfast his eyed moved to the table with food and coffee. Coffee yay! Actually he would have prefered tea yet coffee was better when one tried to wake himself up from the drowsiness. ''That is a fine idea, i guess'' he replied and smiled making his way towards the table to grap a cup of coffee. And he grabbed a cup the very moment Ronan Cavanaugh walked inside greeting them. ''Good Morning to you too, Mr Cavanaugh'' and following him Seraphina walked inside ''And good morning to you too dear lady'' Ryan greeted her back paying an extra attention to be extra kind. Now...coffee time. The man took a huge sip from his coffee as the others began to exchange words among one another. |
Quote:
Quote:
"I trust that you are well Mr Chambers?" he asked as he looked to the blonde haired man with the plate in his hand. |
Quote:
So he smiled back at the other man and took another sip of his coffee ''Thank you. I feel...fine. How about you Mr Cavanaugh?'' |
Quote:
"Twins tend to wake up in pairs so there's double the volume in their cries when someone isn't happy." the young man added before taking a bit of a muffin. "But I've loved every moment of being with them." |
Chloe walked into the room looking like she belonged in a clothing magazine as usual. Her business attire impecably clean, wrinkle-free, and up to date in the latest styles. It was something that Chloe found very important. Though now that they had such a free-spirited boss, she had dared to add a bit of color to her usual grays, blacks, and navies. Her heels clicked against the floor as she entered and made her way straight to the department head. "Good morning, Mr. Buena! I hope things are well?" she said, though really it was more of a question. Then, turning to Ryan she smiled. "Good morning, Mr. Chambers!" she said in the same chipper voice. Obviously, Chloe was a morning a person. Looking around the room, she spotted Ronan nearby. She needed to speak with him. Several congratulations were in order for that man. |

"Good morning to you, Miss Everhart!" Leo smiled broadly and bowed his head slightly. "Oh yes, very well. How about you?" Lovely woman she was. Looking at his watch, Leo was starting to think they should be starting by now. Hmmm. |
Oliver walked into the conference room feeling rather giddy. Probably due to the fact that he has gotten almost no sleep the night before. He saw that a few other employees were already settled in. He grabbed a cup of coffee and sat down. "Good morning everyone" he said trying to hide a yawn. |
Ronan, too! Quote:
She noticed the table of food behind Ronan and Ryan and turned back to Mr. Buena with a polite nod of her head and smile. "Excuse me, Mr. Buena," she said before walking over to stand next to Ronan. Once she reached the table she made herself a cup of tea and then looked back at the young man. "I understand several congratulations are in order. How are the babies doing?" she asked, dying to hear his baby stories. This, to her, was much more interesting than talking about him winning the education fair. Though that was a very important accomplishment, Chloe WAS a woman and babies are adorable. Chloe couldn't wait to have children of her own. |
Quote:
|
''Ah you have babies! Lucky man!'' Ryan exclaimed in a sudden patting Ronan's shoulder ''Congratulations! Say hi to them from uncle Ryan'' Obviously Ryan loved babies and kids which was the reason that one of the brances he specified in was developmental psychology as a psychologist. There was also the fact that his ex wife did not like the idea of having babies when they were married. Again he snapped out of intense thoughts with Chloe's greeting ''Good Morning to you too Ms Everhart.'' he responded with a kind smile. Then he turned back to his boss when he spoke. He surely liked that new boss apparently the man was going to enjoy working with him since he looked like he could bear Ryan's antics. ''Thank you Mr Buena. I'll have this in mind'' |
Quote:
Ronan looked over to Chloe with a polite smile and replied, "They're growing strong." The young man thought fondly to his children and Pandora, his wife who were all at home resting from being in the hospital for a few weeks. Quote:
"Thank you Mr Chambers, of course, I will give my best to the twins." |
Quote:
|
Quote:
"It is different though." he said rubbing his chin, being able to feel my skin again. "I've been so used to facial hair then when I had to shave it off so I don't hurt the twins it makes me look younger again." |

Seraphina had a hard time sitting still. She's spent the last 2 years traveling abroad and studying magical creatures and plants, so trying to focus in an office setting was proving to be difficult. She took a deep breath and leaned back in her chair. Staring out of one of the enchanted windows, she sub-consciously began drumming her long fingers on the arm rest. |
''Twins!'' Ryan exclaimed again ''Then you are double lucky Mr Cavanaugh'' and grinning he took a few step backwards when Ronan and Chloe started to exchange words among themselves. Nodding at them the blond man decided to walk around the room for no apparent reason. One tour, two tours, three...he walked and walked and he seemed to be thinking hard as he did walk around the place drawing a circle around the table with paints. Then he smirked as if some bright idea hit him, immediately stopping at where he stood the man indicated some random point above them ''Oh look look a bird!'' |
Lyra waltzed into the conference room in her casual yet comfortable outfit. The note said something that was comfortable and smudged with colour, right? Well, that's the way she read it and that's what she was wearing. "Hello everyone," she greeted as she swayed towards a brightly ORANGE chair, one that clashed with the PINK in her skirt. BLAH! Oh well, the Ministry was not into fashion the way she was...obviously. She placed her purse on the round table and pushed her sunglasses to the top of her head, resting as if it were a headband of some sort. |
So very sorry for the delay. RL and all that dullness... Quote:

"Ah, Miss Noir!" They had never met, but ofcourse he knew his employees names. "Welcome, glad you could make it!" Seeing her sit down, Leo decided it was showtime! "Allright everyone. What do you say to starting this little party, ey?" Hehe. Leo smiled brightly and gestured for everyone to take a seat around the large table. Walking over to a chair of his own, he didn't sit down but stood behind it and leaned against the back support. "Well then. First of, welcome to everyone! I am very happy to see you here. My name is Leo Buena..." the new Head - but they obviously knew that. "Today, I want us to take a breath...and a moment to think about why we are here." He looked around the table. Sound good? "So, does anyone want to share with us...why did you decide to work in Education?" Hm? Any first speakers? |
Quote:
First of all, if this was a party, she...no. This was not a party, not the ones she was used to and second if it was then Christian would be at her side. OH and her dress attire, yeah, wouldn't be this at all. And she had to remember that name, Buena. Different language, very nice but when the question arrived, her eyes widened a bit. There was no way she would be able to get through that question except to lie. OH! But she was not that. Nope! Not anymore. A painful look began to show for her expression as she looked to the others in hope that someone would speak up before her. Please! She just wanted to agree with someone. Instantly she began inching her way down in her seat in a lady-like matter of course, but just so she wouldn't be picked on. How did one tell exactly the reasoning behind living the life of luxury and leaving that behind to keep in one spot for a while? Hmmm. Interesting. |

He raised his hand as a signal of acknowledgement for everyone to know who was talking next and began his answer. "Well I know that I decided to join the Department of Education mainly for the same reason as Mr Granger." Ronan gave the man a polite nod of his head and then continued. "I would like to think that it would be important to know what is going on in the behind the scenes aspects of Hogwarts. And with some of us starting families or planning to do so, later in life, I believe that it would be excellent to have a say in various elements of the education of our children." |
Mr Buena now had a good question for them. Smiling at everyone Ryan carefully and silently listened to Mr Granger and Mr Cavanaugh slightly nodding at them. And once they were finished the blond man glanced at Ms Noir yet she did not look like she was about to speak then...it was Ryan Chambers' turn. So he stood up and cleared his throat. ''To be frank, dear friends, i have to state that my reason for working in Education Department is a little bit different. I wish not to bore you yet i'd like to tell the short story of me deciding to work in education.'' he looked at everyone, took a little breath and went on ''Originally i am a Psychologist and an ex-Auror. At first place i was helping my Auror friends when they feel like the job they were doing had started to corrupt their minds and souls and when the head-Auror thought i might help them way more effectively if i worked on understanding dark witches and wizards so we could predict their acts and easily arrest them. I agreed so i joined them and started to Psychoanalyse dark wizards and witches and in the progress i foud out that they mostly become dark after some traumatic experiences in their childhood times. And guess mostly who caused those traumas...bad bad bad teachers. So, i decided to move to Inspections Committee to protect young minds and souls from that bad bad bad teachers. As a result to minimise the rate of growing up as a dark witch or wizard.'' |
Everyoooone! :D Leo looked around the conference room. Sure, they weren't that many people in here, but it felt like there were alot of individuals who didn't seem to want to start first. Until... Oliver was the first one to speak up! Leo smiled and took his usual 'regarding-the-wall' pose as he listened. Ah... bless. With several nods at the young man's words. And boy did he say some awesome things. "That was wonderful, thankyou Mr. Granger!" He couldn't help but keep nodding. "Next generation. It is true. The young students will, and might, indeed be working here one day - discussing the future of the even younger individuals." More nodding. "Great points, good job." Oliver obviously knew what it was they were going to be doing in this department. Leo could sense he was a dedicated part of the team. Scanning the little group again, Leo noticed Ronan's raised hand and gave him an encouraging nod. Lots of nodding today, yes. "Mr. Cavanaugh, please." What other awesomeness would be said today? "So...you are speaking about family. That's another good point." Pushing himself a bit away from the chair, Leo started to slowly pace around. "So basically, what you are saying..." Oh he hoped he was thinking right, "That we are raising the students...as if we were their family. Because we, like a parent, have the responsability and fortune to teach them what we know. Yes?" And now Ryan was standing up! Interaction! Exellent. Leo listened intently as the man started to tell his leetle story - and it was very interesting. Physchologist and Auror. It was impressive and sure to come in handy to have someone like him here. "Oh, that's another way to get involved with the youth." Hmmm. "See, there we have a more effective way of 'forming' the young people. Actually interacting with them to see how they are and feel, is most important." How did Ryan experience it? "Would you like to share with us how effective that has been, Mr. Chambers?" "So, coming back to what Mr. Granger said... What do you think would be the best way to reach out to a young witch or wizard? I mean, what could you do to make him or her realise how important it is to be responsible with his talent?" Hmmm? He glanced at Miss Noir. She seemed to have been listening intently until now. Leo would be interested in hearing her thoughts. |
Luna walked in to the conference room with her fingers crossed she was quite sure there must be something happening in the conference but wasn't sure what is her part of work so she grabbed a seat and began making some coffee and looked around the room to find someone to tell her what was going on in the room. |
i know he talks a lot and he is annoying LOL Quote:
''Sure'' Ryan nodded when Mr Buena asked his question ''Basically the development of identity has eight stages. If one step is corrupted or if the individual fails to fullfil the needs of that stage, identity disorders and following it mental disorders start to show themselves in the rest of the developmental stages of the person. The first three stages is the parents' job as they include the ages between 0 and 6 and after that there come two stages from the age 6 to 20 which is our job. In those stages the original identiy starts to develop itself and the first stage of that development is the ''Success or Inferiority Complex'' stage which is extremely important for if that stage is corrupted the individual tend to grow up as a potential criminal.'' He stopped looked around and took a deep breath before going on ''In that stage the child shoud be appreciated for the good things he or she did and should be gently warned for the bad things he or she did. If the child is insulted in anyway, he pr she has the risk of developing a inferiority complex and as a result the stage gets corrupted. Therefor the teacher should be patient and should learn to tolerate mistakes in a certain extend'' |
Maddie sat and pondered that question. What would make a young wizard or witch be more responsible? Maddie nodded in the direction of Ryan. "I agree. The whole 'responsibilty' thing starts at home, and has to be disciplined at school." |
Danielle walked into the confrence room. Seeing a lot of people in deep conversation she sat next to a friend. SHe knew it was Maddie Sterling. SHe sat down smile and got into the conversation. I believe so to. Responsibilty for a young wizard or witch, does indeed start at home. But it also depends on the parents. Whether the parents themselves can give the children responsibilty. Or whether they have it thereselves. |
Quote:
Himself included. "It is important for the future generations of our kind to learn as much as they can from previous experiences through their general education at Hogwarts." The young man thought long and hard at the Department Head's second question. How to reach out the students? "Well certainly further informing them of the dangers and benefits of being a wizard can be would be helpful." Ronan suggested looking around the room for some sort of reaction from anyone. |
Lyra looked down at her nails as there seemed to be one with a rather sharper edge than before. OH SHOOT! Somehow or another that fingernail seemed to have snagged on something between her nice beautiful, PINK feminine desk and...her eyes glanced up as she began tuning into voices that were speaking around her. Oh goodie. Someone was speaking up finally. She listened to the different speeches and hearing the suggestions that were being but it just didn't seem to catch her attention, be the things she wanted to learn when at Hogwarts. "When I was in school just a couple of years back we had a wonderful Professor that taught us the ways of fashion, the latest trends, you know really girlie things." She sighed with a smile on her face and looked around with nothing more to say at that moment unless someone asked. |
Quote:
|
Lyra was rather shocked from someone agreeing with her and of all people it was Mr. Chambers. She smiled gracefully, twirling a piece of blonde hair around her finger having a proud moment of herself. Maybe this wasn't going to be as bad as she though? Maybe working in the Ministry would give her new things to accomplish and new goals to reach. "Well, even though it was the Herbology Professor at the time, she made teaching enjoyable, fashionable...something that made me pay attention as..." she paused dramatically for a slight laugh and a roll of her eyes, "...I mean, paying attention in school was not my forte so to speak." And how she was picked for this department she would never know but the gentlemen were surely nice to look at. |
Quote:
"Good morning, Miss Riddle." Yes, he knew who she was. Filling cabinets rock. "Please help yourself to some breakfast and join us in the discussion. We are talking about why we are working in this lovely department." He smiled at her. Quote:
Leo was totally concentrated on what Ryan was saying and nodded to let him know he was listening. "That was really interesting, thankyou Mr. Chambers. It is amazing how delicate and awesome a child's mind is. You can imagine, if we are here, working to make the education of our young ones the best it can be, how crucial is it for a Professor to do the best he or she can to help the students grow..." Musing out loud... hmmm. "It is a heavy responsability." THEY ALL had a massive responsabilty. Almost made Leo gulp just thinking about it. Hehe. Quote:

Quote:
That had been pretty random. And Leo loved it! He laughed. "I bet she was an exellent Professor." She had indeed had a good connection with her pupils. That's a big plus. Quote:
Quote:
Well that answered his question. "Yes! That is a wonderful idea! Ofcourse everyone has an interest in something, and it would be put into good use to educate them further. Or just, like your fashion Professor, a mentor kind of relationship." Nod nod. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm... ideas turning in his miiiiiind! Hehe. |

"Well, she was more than just a mentor," Lyra pretended to blush when really she was soaking in the very feeling of being smart for once in her life. "There are only certain things you can do with plants, really," one could not wear them and come up with new fashion ideas of course. "It was good to dwell on other things for a change." She sounded smart. Was this her moment to speak a lot of nothing and pretend to be smart? Why yes it was. |
Quote:
The real question there was, what could that possibly be? The young man sighed and began to drum his fingernails on the table before him in concentration. |

Ryan smiled at Lyra as she seemed to be content with herself than at everyone while he sat back on his seat to listen to Mr. Buena and others speaking. He carefully listened to both Mr Cavanaugh and Mr Granger who had good stataments to point out. Then he turned to Mr Granger to answer his question ''I think, yes, what Mr Cavanaugh has suggested is a hard goal to accomplish yet i am fairly certain that it is possible'' Being quite much of a talkative person Ryan, of course could not remain silent when others spoke so he stood up to adress everyone, again. ''You know, every individual enjoy expressing his or herself in a way. It is about the ego and it is present in everyone. Hence why simple personality tests have a high rating among especially young people. So, if we let them express themselves by...maybe a class game, which youngster dislikes playing a new game? And we can adapt the class subject to that game. They will be both learning and having fun'' |

SPOILER!!: Lyra! Aw, that was sweet - a great teacher being more than a mentor. A friend, perhaps? Leo listened to the woman as she recounted her tale. "That is lovely. And, do you feel it has added to your wonderful learning experience in the school?" That is, had her years as a student been enchanced by her mentor? "See, we could ALL use a couple of more dedicated Professors, to take time with the youth." It was IMPORTANTE! SPOILER!!: Ronan! "Ah, an activity." He nodded, crossing one arm over his chest, while the other's elbow rested ontop of it, his hand scratching his stubbled chin. "I supposed we DO find an activity..." Hehe. He looked around the room with a slight shifty look. "So...any ideas?" SPOILER!!: Oliver! "Ofcourse! Everything is possible!" Leo exclaimed, but seeing the puzzled and inquisitive look on the young man's face, he cut the 'sillyness', hehe. "Ofcourse, I understand what you mean. This might make it difficult, but that is why we need to work extra hard to figure something out. Make the Professors take time and figure things out with us. But it will work, you'll see." SPOILER!!: Ryan! See? Even Ryan think so. Snort. Leo nodded, hoping they would start a discussion amongst themselves. Oh, there he goes... Raising his eyebrows in curiosity, Leo remained where he was to listen. Ah! Exellent! "That is one way to do it, Mr Chambers. Good idea there." But one thing... "You mentioned tests, do you mean there could be a sort of test, implemented in the actual game?" Because that could work. "One thing we don't want, is for the students to feel subjected to a test. Sure, we are here to try out new things to help us improve their education, but they should never feel like we are scrutinizing their every move or testing their IQ. Right?" Did that make sense? SPOILER!!: Luna! Very nice, she was going to share! Giving the woman an encouraging nod, Leo scratched his chin again as he listened. Aw, another person who CARED for the young ones. Bless. Oh. Hearing her question, Leo blinked for a short moment, feeling a little surprised at her query. "Oh, about myself?" He looked around the room. Well, it was only fair, ofcourse. "Well... I studied art in Mexico, and experienced how some professors slacked in their duties. So...after arriving in this beautiful country and heard about this job, I thought it would be a wonderful opportunity to share my experience and hopefully make the education of the youth a better one." Yes? "Please, if there's anything you wonder, do not hesitate to ask." Because he was their Head...and he thought they had a right to know...certain things anyway. SPOILER!!: Oliver! Gosh his team was so smart! Lovely! "That is a VERY good point, Mr Granger. There should be structures for the students...because that might be what they crave - like a sort of routine, you know? They are used to having guidelines and such, taking that away might be...how you say, confusing. For a lack of better word. And that would certainly help their education, getting some more fun into it all. Because we all know how horrible boring it could get with learning things, eh?" He smirked, clearly joking. Or not. Hehe. SPOILER!!: Luna! Well, everyone seemed to have taken the idea to heart. The only thing now was to see how they could impliment it to the current curriculum. |
SPOILER!!: quote Anna took some more bites of her cookie as he spoke to her about him "It's good to know more about the people who work with you, right?" she said smilingly. "So, please do inform me too as you'll bring this amazing idea to act" she said and wondered what would she do next. |
Ronan blinked as he thought up what they could possibly do. 'Hmmm a very hard question.' he thought rubbing his hand over his smooth skin. It was still weird not having facial hair, Ronan having to shave it off when the babies were born so he didn't hurt their skin. 'Fun but educational.' he thought wondering if it would be weird if he started to pace. For some reason, whenever the young man walked around it helped him thinking more. But he wasn't going to try and make a spectacle of himself. It wasn't his style. "Mister Buena, I was wondering if perhaps we could offer a school-wide scavenger hunt? They would have to either complete little tasks or solve riddles and in order to find the prizes to win the game." |
Maddie's eyes brightened at the thought of that, but then dampened. "Umm, Mr. Cavanaugh? Not that that's a bad idea, but how would that instill responsibility on our students? I mean, wouldn't that encourage forms of irresponsibility with magic, such as cheating?" Maddie didn't mean to be a downer, but c'mon! |
Ewww! Tests. Not one of Lyra's favorite topics by any means. "I was never fond of taking tests," it showed from the ONE NEWT she received while in school. Hard stuff those tests were...indeed. She was never fond of anything much more than her own self really, unless it was Christian. "Tests just...scare me. I saw do something more fun like..." hmmm...to her a fashion show would just be awesome but that was not learning. That was just...pure fun. "But you know, every child is different," Lyra began as she remembered those who were less fortunate than her. Poor things. "Some are super smart, book wise that is while others are smart street wise. It's almost as if you need more than one approach to make things fun." School fun? What was wrong with her? Woww! |

At Ronan's words, Leo turned to the man...and stared. Just like STARED. STAAAAARE. "Scavenger hunt?" Oh! "That is FANTASTIC!" Oh the joooy! "Wouldn't that be a fun thing to doo? " He turned to everyone with a wide grin. Oh that sounded most exciting! Leo began pacing again, now with more excitement. Quote:
"Yes, indeed it could, good thinking there Miss Sterling. Although...if we could make it uncheatable," Was that even a word? Nevermind, Leo's english was going weird due to this excitement. "And we could set it up with rules and guidelines. Even have other elements. Like helping eachother out. Say they need to work as a team to finish the hunt." Oh oh oh! "I know Hogwarts has different houses that the students are very loyal too, but how about they have to NOT join a team with someone from the same house?" Ey, eyyyy EEEY? Hehe. Quote:
She was about to say something else, and Leo even turned his head slightly to have his ear take in whatever it was she was going to say. But... nothing came. Uhm. Right about to speak up again, Lyra beat him to it! "It is true. Everyone is different. Though also the same." Riddle? Oh! RIDDLES! "The hunt should totally have riddles in it." Like REALLY. Yay! "Street and book smart. Nice words there. Which is why we would need to impliment every type of...'area' into it." WHAT SAY YOOOOOOOU! Oh, almost time for painting. Hehe. |
Ronan grinned brightly as Leo seemed to attach to the idea with great fervor. He listened intently as the bearded man pacing began to think of ways to incorporate everyone's ideas into the main one of the Scavenger Hunt. |

"Ummm...exactly what is the reasoning behind coming up with a scavenger hunt or anything for Hogwarts?" Okay she was a blonde but she wanted to know exactly why they had to come up with such things. |
"Yes, I agree with Miss Noir. If they work within their houses it would be much easier for everyone to work together. And they could bounce ideas off of one another." Ronan said with a small grin. He was genuinely excited about this idea and glad to have thought it up. When the blonde woman asked WHY he had actually thought it up, the young man spoke up again. "Well I just thought that it was a great way to combine fun with educational. Kind of like the mystery fair we had here at the Ministry." |
Lyra turned back towards another gentleman that was agreeing with her. Man! Either she looked really good and they just had to agree with her or she was really making a difference in this meeting. Hmmm...she chose the first as she knew she was beautiful and didn't need anyone telling her any different. "Fun and education? Never thought I would hear those together," she snorted then quickly pressed her lips together. "And I have no idea what the mystery fair is. Is that something we are supposed to do?" She was new. She had no idea about anything other than this floor. |
Quote:
"Oh come now, fun and education go together like carrots and peas" said Oliver with a laugh. "The mystery fair was something that was held here at the ministry about a month ago" said Oliver. "It was a serious of tasks the majority of the ministry employees did to refresh their memory with spellwork, and problem solving. It also brought the ministry closer together as a whole" said Oliver who was enjoying the meeting. |

It sort of makes him think of when her mother used to hide chocolate eggs around the garden for him and his sister to find. Hehehe. "That is true, Mr Granger. We would have to come up with a smooth way to run the hunt." He nodded, not really giving any answers or ideas. They should ALL think about this some more...but maybe after a break. Hehe. Quote:

Mystery fair? What was Ronan talking abouuuut? Oooh, sounded exciting! Hm, yes, Leo had not been a part of that either. Sadface. Buy he listened intently to Oliver as he explained what it was. "Well well well..." he nodded, "Sounds like alot of fun! I bet you could only imagine how well education, responsibility and FUN could go so well together. I'm sure our kids will enjoy something like that aswell. You know how they are all in such a hurry to grow up...we could give them a sneak preview." Sigh. He SO wanted to be a kid again. Or, well...almost. Hehe. He cleared his throat, "Now, ladies and gentlemen..." and clasped his hands together, a smirk on his face. "I think we could all do with a little break from our...brainstorming, yes?" Well he did anyways. "We shall take a leeeeeetle break, to go powder our foreheads and get something more to snack on, but we'll continue very SOON!" And then he grinned. "Does anyone have ANY questions?" Hm? "Great job everyone, exellent meeting!" |
Ronan smiled fondly to the young man explaining to the blonde female employee about the Mystery Fair. He was being modest by not telling her that he had actually won the entire fair, that was unimportant right now. He looked over to Leo who announced that the meeting was over for a little bit. Standing up he smiled politely to Mister Bossman and said, "Thank you Leo, this is really turning out to be a very interesting idea to work with. I can't wait to get started." With that, he nodded to Leo and then to the other employees and made his way out of the conference room, dead set on going home to his wife and children for a bit of lunch. |

Oh dear. They were going to reconnect with their inner child? Her eyes shifted to the left...then to the right....then to the left again. Lyra wasn't fond of her childhood, she rather enjoyed her life now. She was away from her teen years and frankly, she was accomplishing more now than she was in Hogwarts. Eeeeek! No inner child...please! As soon as they were dismissed, she pushed away from the table and stood up, brushing her hair behind her, allowing it to fall down her back. She needed fresh air as the room was terribly too stuffy at the moment. She felt a prickle of stress creeping up to rest on her shoulders and do nothing more than to cause pain and frustration. She needed some water...anything. |
Luna got up from her seat after the meeting was over and was very happy to see that the ministry level one was planning on for the new event to be introduced in Hogwarts she was really hoping that everything goes on well as reading with the plan to be put forth before us on the issue. |
catching up. sorry i have been away As he listened to everybody carefully, Ryan started to observe around himself especially the other employees for some reason unknown to him. And don't ask why because he had no answer for that question. He always had a tendency to observe and analyse the things and people around him catching even the smallest detail. Yet he needed to focus on the topic they were discussing RIGHT NOW and they were talking about tests not being fun which was true and a scavenger hunt, brilliant idea. ''Sorry i was distracted'' he apologised to everyone before starting to speak again bring up the topic of tests again ''Actually what i called as tests were not something similar to exams or quizzes. There are special personality tests for kids like asking them to pain a picture of their own imagination. From the colours they choose to the things they draw much information about the kid can be read. So we can see the potentials of each of them and apply or use this information in class to establish a fun lesson'' It was a little bit complicated to do that yet it was not impossible. Whatever. The man stood up and stretched himself once they were dismissed. Good it was time for a cup of tea. |

"Then on with the hunt!" cried Maddie enthusuastically, now contemplitaing how her sister will react to such an event. She almost didn't notice the end of the conference, and realized she could really go for a bagel.... To the cafeteria! |
The bright room was fully equipped with the many warm drinks, cookies and snacks, as usual, and it was quite ready to recieve the many Education Employees. Leo was lying on the floor, wondering what kind of transportation, of an immobilised person, was the best...if you were a student at Hogwarts and magic was limited. Hmmm. Actually, the ceiling was pretty interesting aswell. Maybe he could paint it to look like the sky... Splendind. |
Oliver walked back into the department feeling rather inspired after a good old stretch of the legs. He took out a piece of parchment and a quill and started writing down some ideas down on how to structure the scavenger hunt at Hogwarts. Hmm, though Oliver perhaps a good way to do it would be to have a series of written exams as well as some practice head on thought Oliver as he wrote down his ideas. |
Gerard Carson stepped into the shiny new conference room. He had just transferred departments, but he was feeling positive and confident about the switch. As he walked in to the almost empty room, a table full of drinks and refreshments caught his eye. WHEEE, cookies! He made his way over the table and very subtly smuggled a cookie into his mouth. Trying to eat it quietly was practically impossible. Sheeeesh, wonderful. First impression would be...... fatteh. Anyway, back to business. He was glad that he was early. There was one person floating around randomly, and another lying on the floor.... Hmm, should he join him? |
Jamie Lansa also walked into the sparkling conference room for the first time. She looked around nervously at the slightly odd sights in front of her, then cleared her throat. "Uh, excuse me? I just arrived, and was wondering what was going on, so if someone wouldn't mind explaining to me what has happened, I would be eternally grateful. Oh, yeah, my name is Jamie. Sorry I'm late!" she said with a slight grin. |
Carrying a pile of thick books again, Ryan walked in the conference room this time feeling a little bit tired because of the bad and busy night he experienced. Because of the all the private work he dealt with the man could hardly find the time to sleep so he was feeling like lying on the floor next to his boss as he... wait a moment... The man stopped and blinked for a couple of times. Why was his boss lying on the floor? Was something wrong with him? No, he seemed to be okay. Then..what? ''Good morning everyone!'' the blond man said smiling at the others then he stepped towards the department head and bent down towards him. ''Is everything okay there?'' |
ooc: surprise post on holiday. Ronan was late. There was no way of avoiding that aspect, and he was certainly embarrassed about it as well. He wasn't trying to put blame on anyone but the twins had been a bit obnoxious for him and Pandora that morning and he wasn't just planning on leaving his wife so abruptly. Carrying his suitcase in his hand, he glanced at the memo as he stepped into the cubicle area and headed towards the conference and took a seat away from Leo and Ryan so that there was space for the other employees to sit down amongst them. Speaking of employees, there seemed to be a new one sitting just a bit away but Ronan was unaware if he was in his division or not. Sipping at his scalding hot tea, the young man paused to wince and then looked to Ryan as he spoke, glancing around to see who would respond. Ronan nodded politely to his fellow division head, drumming his fingers on the table as he waited for things to get started. |
Quote:
Hmmmmm... Yes. Clouds would be WODERFUL to paint on the ceiling, would it no? Yes... His concentration was interrupted by someone walking into the room, and Leo grinned. It seemed that young Mister Oliver hadn't seen him yet. Hehe. Should he? Mmmaybe not. Wouldn't want to scary anyone this early in the day. Hehehe. Quote:
"Hello hello! Good day to you!" This was... Mr Carson, right? "Mister Carson, how wonderful to finally meet you!" The man wouldn't mind if Leo didn't get off from the floor, right? "My name is Leo de la B-" Quote:
And who was this happy person? Jamie...Jamie...Jamie! "Miss Lansa! Welcome, welcome! Glad you could join us at this meeting!" And as he was saying... "I am Leo de la Buena!" Quote:
Oh! "Good Morning, Mr Chambers! How are you today?" Ready to read, it seemed. "Yes, yes, everything is wonderful. I was just thinking about painting something on the ceiling... What do you think?" Yes? Or no? Yes, he hoped. Quote:

Sigh. "I hope you are well though, sir." |
Colman Dunne showed up in the conference room after seeing the message from his boss. His stomach growled and he chided himself for not grabbing something to eat before he had rolled out of bed that morning. But the quicker he got out of the house the better. No need to wake up his sister who was most certainly sleeping til the crack of noon like she always did. Oh what a dream, not having to work anymore. But he had to work to keep his side of the rent up. Sitting down at the table, Colman looked up to his boss wondering what they were going to be talking about today. Seemed like they did a lot of planning. |
Quote:
Oh, well! She would just have to make it up during future events. |

Oliver turned around to see Leo finally get off the floor and couldn't help but laughing. "Have a good nap" asked Oliver jokingly. He also noticed two new employees walking into the room. "Hello there, I'm Oliver. It's nice to meet you" he said extending his hand to both of them. |
Jamie reached out to grasp and shake Oliver's hand. "Nice to meet you, as well, Oliver," she said politely. "If I may ask, what where you doing on the ground, Sir De La Buena?" |
