Loving her closeness, Brian took a seat next to her, "What love?" he asked but his nose found the difference in the air surrounding them. "Come here.." he pulled her by her side closer to him gently so that she could avoid the coffee smell that was so allergic to her.

She smiled slightly at his question and then buried her face into his shoulder as he pulled her closer to him. Hugging him, she started breathing the smell of him happily and closed her eyes. Stupid coffee allergy. Sometimes.

Katherine walked in to the already quite buzzing Conference room. She'd heard about the education fair and was quite excited, it sounded great! She waited, and wondered what was going to happen, and how long the speech would be. She wasn't really keen on long speechs, not boring ones anyway, but hopefully it wouldn't be too boring. It sounded interesting to say the leaste.

His arm went around her immediately, keeping her as much closer as he could. "Just calm down and take deep breaths, Becs. " he said quietly to her ear, concerned, hoping she would settle down soon.

Nodding slightly, she took deep calming breaths and moved her hand to take hold of his free hand. Playing with his fingers, she relaxed slightly and kept breathing his amazing smell happily. Shifting to sit comfortably, she nudged him slightly, smiling. She was still playful, even when coffee was around.

Christian turned at the sound of a voice, smiling as he saw one of his Division Heads. "Ms. Johannson, wonderful to see you here!"
Smiling kindly, he rocked on his feet again. "Sounds be a good day. A good day."
He turned his attention back to the front then, waiting for the event to get underway.
"Likewise, Mr Trumball! I'm eager to learn more about transportation but also about other areas if that's possible." She said beaming. Not that she was considering to change job or anything but Ingrid wanted to broaden her horizons when she had the opportunity. Turning to look up front she hoped that everything would kick off soon.

Ingrid let her gaze wander among the faces in the room stopping on what she believed to be one of the newest floo employess. Seeing as Theron still hadn't showed up yet she thought it was her duty to introduce herself and check that the man had settled in all right. Pulling back a few loose strands of black hair behind her ears Ingrid walked over, smiling. "Hello, there Mr Deveraux? I'm Ingrid Johansson, Division head on level 6." Extentending a hand towards the man she asked "I hope you've settled in all right?"

I'm Ingrid Johansson. Division head of Apparition on Level 6. Welcome to the Ministry!" It felt a bit weird and maybe even a bit pushy to almost jump people like she did but on the other hand. It usually paied off to be out-going and Ingrid hoped that this time was no different.

"Well now you have!" Benjamin said with his charming smile. "Same reason for me. I love sounding like a New Yorker." Benjamin wasn't sure if he knew what that meant, so he decided to clarify. "I'm from New York City." Ben looked around and noticed that the room had filled up. He wondered when it was going to start. He was in his prime detective mode.
Pierre chuckled a little. This guy isn't that bad. He was kind of confused when he brought up a 'New Yorker', but was glad when he clarified. "New York City? That sounds interesting. What was it like there?" Pierre knew it was a big city and London was the only big city he had ever been in.

"Very nice to meet you Ms. Johansson. And as you already seem to know, I'm Pierre Devereux." His words all dripped with his French accent. "Yes. I've found everything all right."

Reason: adding in post
Skander reluctantly strode into the Conference Room, not particularly wanting to be at what he saw as a pointless job fair. He worked in Magical Games and Sports for goodness sake. It didn't take too much thinking to do the job. Well ok it did but still... However as a Division Head Skander figured he needed to come to set a good example for his employees who had better show up or risk his wrath when this thing finished.
Alina headed into the Conference room, wondering quite why she needed to be down here when she and her division were working on a particularly important case in Patents. She hadn't quite understood the concept of what was meant to be going on at this so-called 'Education Fair', but here she was - and hopefully some of her employees would come too. There might be something useful to take away from it all....
Glancing round the room, Alina spotted a familiar face and headed in that direction. She didn't want to be conspicuously stood at the entrance to the room on her own during the inevitable speeches. Reaching Skander, Alina smiled. "How's it been going with Colin MacKenzie?" she asked. She'd certainly seen the player on Level Seven, despite having her own problems to look after at the moment.

Frida smiled a little bit, "I'm afraid I don't venture out of my level often, so I don't know a lot of people elsewhere in the Ministry."
Changing the topic, Frida continued. "It must be very interesting working in the International Magical Co-operation?"
Malachi shook her hand, giving her an easy smile. "Great to meet you Frida." He released her hand. "To be honest, I haven't really explored the ministry all that much myself since I took the Division Head for International Magical Office of Law position a few months ago."
He ran his hand distractedly through his brown mop of hair. "Oh yes, it is. It's challenging and I love a challenge. It's certainly different to what I was doing before. I worked on the fire-crab reservation in Fiji." His smile slipped but only for half a second. He glanced at the ring on his left hand.
Ingrid strolled into the conference room in a cheery and upbeat mood. This job fair had every potential to be fun. Spotting her deaprtment head just as she walked in the dark haired woman changed direction "Hi, Mr Trumball! A job fair of mystery, now what had Ingrid signed up for? Hopefully something that didn't involve spirites. Shuddering slightly of the memory of the michevious spirit she gazed around the room that was quickly filling up.
Theron wasn't really sure what to expect in the conference room, but he would do whatever needed to be done, for the sake of the ministry of course. Theron looked around for someone he might know...hmm...
Ah! There was Ingrid! He could spot her almost instantaneously, she always has this cheery, optimistic demeanor about herself. He strolled over to her. "'Ello again," he said with a dashing smile. "Long time, no see...any idea what all of this is about?" he asked curiously as he waited to hear her theory.

Frida laughed for a moment, though she didn't bother to explain why.
Perhaps it should become a habit of hers from now on...to shake with the right hand. Just to see the different reactions from people.
Bleh. Law. Just that word sounded dreadful...however necessary it was.
All Frida could think about now was her government class her parents made her attend with her brother when she was around ten.
Ten is not the choice age of a child you want to teach government to. It only results in tears of boredom for most.
"Fiji..." Frida began to say, "That's north of New Zealand isn't it? One of the islands nearby?" She placed a closed fist under her chin. "I've never been to the place, but I did visit New Zealand with a couple friends shortly after finishing school at Hogwarts after my seventh year. I hope Fiji is just as beautiful as the rest of the islands in the area." Honestly, Frida would travel there again in a heartbeat just to sit on the beach and watch the ocean. The views were spectacular.
"A fire-crab?" Frida asked, a little more cluelessly than she would have hoped. "What are they? I mean, are they dangerous at all and whatnot?"
His arm went around her immediately, keeping her as much closer as he could. "Just calm down and take deep breaths, Becs. " he said quietly to her ear, concerned, hoping she would settle down soon.

DH almost fell asleep looking through people. He had taken his medications and is now feeling better unlike the other day. He stood up when he spotted two familiar figure.
"Mr and Mrs Lee. How are you?" he said extending his hand to the couple. "Oh, and thank you very much for the other day." he said looking at Becca.

The door to the conference room opened, and Senior Undersecretary Allie Carlton walked inside. She paused and took a long glance around the room, as if she were looking for someone or something. When her eyes had traveled from one end of the room to the other, a sudden worried expression took up residence on her normally cheerful-looking face.
Taking a deep breath, she fumbled in her pockets for a piece of parchment---her speech. Or, actually, the one Taylor was meant to be giving any minute now. She glanced back and forth between the parchment and the crowd for a moment before taking her place behind the podium centered in the front of the room. She raised her wand to her mouth, and with a "Sonorus!" she spoke:
"Welcome, ladies and gentlemen, to Minister Taylor's Education Fair. If you haven't already, please take a seat, so we can get started," she announced. "Department Heads, please take the seats to the left of me." With her free hand, she motioned towards a line of chairs. As she did this, she cast a concerned glance towards a few of the heads.
OOC: For clarification, Allie's not yelling, lol. The sonorus made her voice no louder than regular microphone volume.
Dominic Everdeen was late, as usual. He was in the back of the crowd, waiting for the minister of magic to begin. He took a drink and sat down, waiting to see a friend.

Antigone was actually quite pleased when the Senior Undersecretary asked them to take a seat nearer to her. She caught the concerned glance she shot toward them and furrowed her brow. Oh crikey... there must be something else going on here.
Shooting a smile at those sitting near her, even Ronan, she rose from her seat and walked toward the front of the room and took a seat to the left of the Undersecretary. The immediate seat actually.

Christian perked up as Ms. Carlton's voice was projected through the room. With a slight nod to those around him, he walked toward the front of the room, smiling.
Until he saw the concerned look on the woman's face. Raising an eyebrow, he looked around him a moment, to see where the glance might have been directed. Furrowing his brow, he took a seat in the indicated chairs, glancing about the room with concerned curiosity.

Yay, chairs for them! Wes made his way through the crowd and up to Allie, flashing her a giant grin before taking a seat in one of the comfy chairs she had conjured for them. He looked out at everyone and blinked. Whoooooa. He hadn't realized just how many employees the Ministry had until they were all...bunched up like this. Interesting.
He tapped his foot absentmindedly as he waited for her to continue.

Malachi was just about to answer Frida when he heard Allie Carlton, or at least he thought that was her name, announce that the fair was about to start. "Maybe we can talk about later? Over coffee?" He smiled widely. He liked this woman, she was intelligent. She would be a good friend to have.
He looked over at Antigone. He could see the pendant he had given her on a chain around her neck, nestled next to something else. It was like a kick in the stomach. But Antigone had moved on and he had to as well. It was that simple.

Nikos had spotted a few people that he wanted to speak to when a woman began to speak. Seeing how they were starting, he refilled his cup of coffee and took a seat near the front, resting his arm on the chair beside him as he waited for the rest of the speech.

Frida too; like many others in the room, looked to the source of the sound, and realized that the conference was going to begin shortly.
"Hmm?" She turned back to Malachi, somewhat surprised. "Oh, yes, that would be nice." Not having been out with another soul in ages wasn't good. So actually leaving work and home was in order, and of top priority.
She fell silent, and sat politely while waiting for everything to start.
