Ronan watched as the man landed on his bum and started laughing at his own mistake. He smiled thankfully when the man handed him the key and he gave his challenger a curt nod.

"It was a pleasure battling with you today." Ronan said with a polite smile before walking past the man and onto the next challenge.

Xylia got back to her feet and grabbed another broomstick while the man spoke. She shook her head at his answer. "It was an excellent lesson taught complete with examples on how to properly use these items. What you failed to recognize that there are occasions when you may need to defend yourself and you might have basic items around you to use. That was the lesson," she stated and tossed a metal object at him. "Now take it and move on."


She now looked at the others. "Well, who's next?"

The first man (Jack Mannequin) was just watching them with a broomstick in his grasp, so Alistair shrugged his shoulders and focused all of his attention on the man who was now on the attack (Zellanna).

Alistair was pushed backwards and then he felt the ground slide beneath him. He began flailing and shook his head.

He landed on his rear and started laughing. "I forgot about the puddle of goo," he said in good spirits and reached into his pocket. He pulled out a metal object and handed it to the man. "Here's the key. You earned it."

The other had been taking some decent swings at the man, and as he'd jumped back to ready himself, he watched as the other managed to get their opponent down. He stood at the ready, though did wait. It irritated him knowing that the others were getting ahead of him, but there was no point in attacking the man while he was down.

"Didn't I just say that???" Ben really didn't like this person. "I quote myself. '...Or use odd weapons to fight.' That would INCLUDE weapons around you, wouldn't it?" Ben didn't care about the argument once he got the key. He was happy to be leaving. He headed towards the door without another word.

Lilah had been watching, wide eyed, at the people who were doing this 'challenge' before her. They had to...combat these people? With only a broom, gobstones, and a piece of paper. Brilliant...

That wasn't to say she wasn't good at things like that, just...she never used a broom, gobstones and...paper, for it before. However, she did quickly remember what kind of paper it was and what it was used for. Pen! She needed a PEN! Which was the one thing that she did bring with herself, and completely forgetting the notepad that was still sitting on her desk on a lower floor that could've been useful for a few challenges before this one. How brilliant was she? "I guess...me..."

Perhaps she could do this quick and easy? Quickly diving behind one of the chairs since, she was dramatic like that, Lilah hurriedly wrote down a message on the paper. 'Keep hovering in front of the brown haired, blue eyed obstacle lady's face so she is unable to see what's in front of her'. Would it work?! Who knows! She was too busy trying to look around to see if she could spot the gobstones...that she failed to acquire before this. Yup, just brilliant.

Darius had been watching curiously, moving the broom back and forth in his hand to get a feel for the object. He had been on a broom before but he'd never used one before as a defensive mechanism. Could he get through the obstacle course without getting too hurt, falling and making a fool of himself in front of others? Well he wasn't so sure but he was willing to try it out.

Seeing another woman move to stand in front of the obstacle lady he grinned. What he really needed was some of that magical paper. Why hadn't he taken some he mused, glancing behind him and puckering his lips up before shrugging. Maybe she had some. If they were to do this they needed to act smart. Moving to stand beside her, he moved into his fighting stance - minus wand - and nodded, "I'm next, think you can take on two at once?" he grinned, his hazel eyes sparkling.

Lucia watched with a blank expression as the other people in the room had completed this challenge. After hearing the obstacle lady ask who was next, she walked forwards after three others had done so too. Lucia cleared her throat but didn't speak, she just stood next to the three others, grasping her broomstick and the magical paper, with a couple of gobstones in her pocket. This challenge was going to be very interesting..

Laura looked at the man who addressed her and someone else.She raised her eyebrow and then snuck two gobstones and placed them in her pocket and firmly caught the broomstick.
She turned to see who else was he adressing to along with her.Turning she saw the same guy who had helped her in the Conference Hall.
Hi she said with a small smile you seemed to be very much ready for a fight,huh? she said as she saw him in a poise for a fight but herself clutched the broom firmly and turned back to look at the man as he attacked one of the other guys.
Turning back to Prometheus she said i think we are in this together raising her eyebrows and a small smile on her face as she saw the other two guys fighting and blocking the obstacle together.

A slight wind seems to blow into the room, carrying a small piece of parchment with it. The parchment flutters about for a few moments, then finally falls to the floor in the middle of the room.

Walking into the next challenge, Dorian barely glanced at the scarred walls and sparse furnishings before he realized a mysterious parchment had floated into the room ahead of him. Sending the man directing him to a chair a nod, he stepped forward and glanced at the parchment lying on the floor before sitting. Hmm, just like the one that started this whole party, he thought, taking note of the deadline before glancing up at the portrait. Raising an eyebrow at the arrogance displayed, he watched the demonstrations before glancing at the silent man in the room as he was handed the paper mentioned. Nodding as he skimmed the instructions, he glanced up at the fighters nearby with a grin.

Standing up again as he dropped the paper to the floor, ignoring it as it burst into purple sparks, he walked over to the table of makeshift weapons and picked up a broomstick in one hand. Testing its weight, he glanced at the table once again and picked up a handful of gobstones with his free hand. And then he leaned up against the wall to wait and observe, his grey eyes sparkling a little. Someone would most likely notice him before long, and he wanted to be ready. Especially since they seemed to only have a week left, and he wasn't sure what to expect in the next challenges. A bit of a fight might be fun.

The motion of fluttering paper caught his attention. Shifting around his opponent, he went over to take a look at it. He grit his teeth, not having realized how long he had been there... and how focused he had become on the challenges. With renewed determination he waited for the other man to get up then rushed him, still keeping his strategy in mind. But this time, he had to make it quick... something Slade had always urged him to do, and he could never forget it. Carpe diem.

"Why hello again." Prometheus smiled, happy to see her friendly face once again, "Hows the ankle holding up?" remembering their first meeting.
As the fighting continued in front of them Prometheus turned to Laura, "It seems we are, You watch my back and I'll protect yours!" He said with inspired determination.

"Now we have a new objective, we must get through this fast" he said to Laura, "Get Ready!"

Hehehe that man in the portrait was funny when he had been speaking to them. And why was he speaking by a portrait anyway? Was he dead? Ryan did not think so. Was he kidnapped? Meh...who would kidnap a man like that and get into trouble? Whatever.

Once the man finished his speech Ryan quickly read the parcment before it dissappeared then he looked around. Something was hidden and he needed to find it bu using broomsticks, magical cards or gobstones. ''Hmm...'' It was time to act so he stood up and walked and stood in the middle of the room. Hopefully he had one magical game card which he considered his lucky card.

He took the card out his pocket and looked at it before taking out a pen out the inside pocket of his jacket. 'Hit whatever is hidden in this room' he wrote on the card. Well...if the magical cards were willing to do whatever was written on them, it was a nice thing to try his chance by that, was not it? Therefore he held the card, turned around one time and threw it somewhere at random in the room. ''Let's see''

Xylia was approaching her latest round of victims employees who needed a quick lesson in self-defense when something blurry and cream-colored flapped in front of her eyes. "What? Get out of my way!" she shrieked and tried unsuccessfully to bat it away. Each time she'd swat it away, it would zoom back and block her view.

She got her broom ready and angled it directly across her body. But the stupid, STUPID piece of magical paper was blocking her view of whoever was in front of her. "Oh, I can take on as many as it takes," she hissed and blindly lunged forward.

Xylia didn't see this woman because the magical paper was flapping in her face. Talk about having a major advantage....

Alistair lunged at the man with his broomstick and his foot came precariously close to a teensy pile of Gobstone goo.

He glanced over at the woman who was talking. Was she a spectator or here to learn? Guess I'll find out soon.

A shrieking sound made Alistair glance to his right - Xylia was about to get what was coming to her by a small group. The thought made him chuckle. "Are you up to the challenge?" he called out to the man who was leaning against the wall. "Grab a broom!"


The chatter distracted him AGAIN. "Any time now, lad. Grab your weapon of choice!"

The paper hit the wall and dropped to the floor. "You've gotta fight!" Alistair yelled and then turned back to the man with whom he was already fighting with.

OOC: it's magical paper, not cards. ;P

Lilah, for a moment was distracted with another piece of paper that seemed to float itself into the room. How did a breeze get up here anyway? But, that didn't matter now! Quickly glancing back over when she heard someone yelling something, the icy blue eyed woman froze in place for a moment so she could really take in what was happening. The parchment worked? And there were two others that were going to be doing this 'obstacle' thing as well.

Now, three people up against a crazy person who was blinded by a piece of parchment? That was....totally fair! Now, where were those gobstones?! Ack! There they were! Under her, previous seat. Eh. Quickly standing up, and wincing as her elbow hit a close by chair, Lilah tripped leaped over and made her way through the chairs until she was at hers and grabbed the gobstones, before noticing that the broom was right there too. How did she not see this when she came in!? Or sat down. Pfft.

However, she knew that she would be no good with the broom, so she would have the others do with that part. But for now...picking up a gobstone, she hesitantly threw one at the crazy lady...before quickly throwing all of them at once at her. EeK! Hit her, explode, make her trip...they better do something! Otherwise she'll have to use...the broom.

"ACK! STOP THAT!" Xylia shrieked loudly as a Gobstone hit her left forearm and goo exploded everywhere. And the magical paper was still flapping in her face.

Laura looked up at the noise of the parchment fluttering and grabbed it to see what was written on it.She read and re read it and then nodded.They had to get going fast now...she looked up as she heard Prometheus speak


Well, my ankle is sort of fine now she said with a small embarassed smile.She nodded as he spoke again of protecting each other.
She saw him read the parchment and then smiled and looked away as spoke again with new vigour.

but then she looked at the fight going on in front of them and then heard the man speak to Prometheus.She looked at the man and immediately grabbed her broom.It looked as if their time had come to fight.For some reason she had a feeling that the man didnt like her talking around much.but she shrugged and got ready for the fight.
this is gonna be some task she thought.

Alistar glanced again at the woman and shook his head. Did she arm herself with anything?

For a moment Ryan got distracted when he saw a beautiful woman arguing with another beautiful woman he knew; Lilah. Yet he quickly snapped out of it when his paper simply hit the wall and dropped. Meh. So those papers were not as great as the portrait man claimed before.

Then he jumped when a man's voice yelled him that he was supposed to fight. Fight? Seriously? He looked at the man who yelled at him fighting with another man and it apparently was too much of a physical thing for Ryan. Yet, if he was supposed to do that to complete the challenge he needed to find a way. So, rather reluctantly he picked up a gobstone and threw it at the man's back.

Prometheus smiled at Laura, but was interrupted by the Obstacle. Prometheus moved quickly and reached for a broomstick. Using his gymnastic skills he twirled the broom in front of him, like the propeller of a plane. He brought the broom down, with the bristles under his arm and the handle pointed at the obstacle.
With a "HA" Prometheus thrust-ed the broom handle at the chest of Alistair, by transferring his weight for his back foot through to the broom he was sure to get a reaction. He knew the best way to get this over quickly was to disarm his opponent.

Laura clutched the broom firmly and ready to defend if the obstacle would attack her.She narrowed her eyes and looked at the man.
why is he looking at me like that she thought but got ready to fight nonetheless.

Rinatta entered the room and watched as an enormus portrait of Rex Vindictus began to speak. She listened and watched his smug face with a distaste in her mouth. How could someone that she did not personally know put such a bad taste in her mouth? Oh well, she was to learn from him , so she would. Whether you liked the teacher or enjoyed the lesson you should still learn from it and grow. She quickly read the paper and released it, watching it disintegrate into sparks the next moment. She looked to the wall and saw the forementioned items: Magical paper, Gobstones, and ,her favorite, broomsticks. Well, who knows what the obstacle could be right? Better grab some of each.

She turned to see the 'obstacles' one a woman ,maybe around her age, and the other a man that was a bit older, age does not mean you should underestimate your opponent though. She watched the 'obstacles' call their challengers to them and observed as she waited to be called upon, not knowing which would be her opponent. The truculant woman who seemed to have a battle lust ,or the older man that seemed a bit calmer and more of a defender. Rin could tell that she would like this challenge, combat was one of her stronger points. If she could wrangle a dragon, she could manage a human opponent ,magic or no as long as they were armed the same.

Out of instinct, Lilah stopped flicking random gobstones towards the woman once she said stop. Wait, flicking gobstones at her? Where did THESE come from? She threw them all at the woman didn't she? Eh...

Frowning and shaking her head slightly, she glanced over at the others, unsure of what to do. Were they gunna do something? It was like, the perfect opportunity! While looking around at the others, her eyes spotted one certain blond haired man. Ryan? Had he been here the whole time? Frowning, she looked back over to the woman before picking up the broom from the floor and holding it up in front of her with both hands.

On second thought, perhaps she should let someone else get close to the crazy lady? Hopefully the parchment will continue to do it's job. Eek! Taking a step forward, Lilah reached out and poked the woman on the shoulder with the end of the broom. Hehe.

Lucia blinked in front of the obstacle, knowing that she didn't have much time to complete all of these challenges. Right, let's do this. Umm, umm, magical paper. Perfect.

It seemed that this obstacle lady hadn't really noticed Lucia, as the others were a little more out-spoken. Even more perfect. She watched as someone else had threw gobstones at the obstacle, so she took the opportunity to attack her whilst she was down. She picked up the broomstick and whacked her in the chest, right after the other person's poke. She got out the magical paper and pen and began to jot down,

'Stick yourself to the ground but also to this lady's foot.'

Lucia reaaally hoped she had figured out how to use them correctly, then watched to see if her actions were good enough to take out this obstacle. And if it wasn't, meh, she had a load of gobstones to try out too.
