What is your favorite Wizarding World supplementary material?
And why?

Now that the Wizarding World has expanded so much, you surely have opinions about which new supplementary material is best! Are you a Fantastic Beasts fan? Is Pottermore your jam? How about Hogwarts Mystery or some of the other, older games? There's so much in the expanded universe of our Wizarding World, so let us know your favorites here! The poll is multiple choice, so if you pick more than one option, be sure to tell us why when you post!
Rules & Guidelines for this thread:
  1. Before posting, please make sure you have read through the Newbie Process, Snitchseeker's Rules & FAQ, and perused the Site Resources forum.
  2. This is not a questions thread. If you don't understand something and/or have a real question, go to The Question Thread.
  3. This is not a discussion thread. Rather, this is a place for you to share your personal experience and relationship with the expanded universe of Rowling's wizarding world. Discussion threads await you once you have graduated Newbie status, however!
  4. Only talk about materials that are not any of the original 7 Harry Potter books, nor the original 8 films. There are separate threads for you to share your favorites of those here and here!
  5. No spam. This means no posting off topic or posting multiple times in a row.

It has to be the Cursed Child book for me. I remember going to a release party when the book came out and having so much fun with my friends

I would have to say Hogwarts Mystery mobile game because who doesn't love being able to take Hogwarts on the go with them wherever they are lol, although I did love the first version of Pottermore when it first came out! And who doesn't love all the fun supplemental material you could read on it!

The new movies... especially the first one, fantastic beasts. The second one was not as good.

I prefer anything that allows for someone to engross themselves in the Wizarding World at their own leisure. The older video games were pretty good about this. The new game seems to be all about it. I can't wait.

I haven't read any of the supplementary books, but I'm interested! I really enjoy Pottermore, though, because the quizzes are fun! If you were wondering, I'm a Hufflepuff, a Thunderbird, my Patronus is a raven and my wand is rowan wood with unicorn hair core, 13 3/4" with quite bendy flexibility.

I am pretty partial to Pottermore, because I remember taking the house quiz with my friends and texting each other to compare results.

it's either adhd or wrackspurts <3 <3 lily luna's mom has got it going on

For me it's a tie between Quidditch Through the Ages and Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. I got the original box set back in the day and enjoyed them so much that I bought the illustrated versions when they came out. I'm a huge dork for in-universe content. While going through a bad breakup I used the illustrated version of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them to plan out a Wizarding version of NatGeo and had lots of fun.

Tales of Beetle the Bard is my favorite supplemental material, because it adds so much lore and depth to the wizarding world. It makes it feel more real. The story has its own stories within it? That's so cool! It's like these are the stories the characters grew up listening to; just as we grew up listening to their stories. It makes the world more tangible.

I absolutely dig the Fantastic Beasts movies. I felt nostalgic as I watched the first movie. I never thought that there could be something else in the Harry Potter world after the last movie of the original Harry Potter franchise.

I love Pottermore since I find it very interesting and intriguing to find out it more about the lesser known characters and other aspects of the wizarding world.

I love the original Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. I like reading about the creatures in the wizarding world. Pottermore is also interesting, and fun to read.

The old Harry Potter games were the best! I'm currently trying to play through them all again (on PSX, Gameboy, Nintendo DS, PSP and PS Vita). I also like fan-made video game mods based on Harry Potter, especially the Minecraft ones (the Floo Network is the best - it lets you explore the whole castle and grounds, and many locations in the Wizarding World).

I’m really partial to FBaWtFT just because as an American it was a lot of fun learning about the wizarding world of the U.S. and just now different it is to British wizarding society.

I really like Pottermore for the sorting and patronus aspects especially, although I must say I did prefer the older version quite a bit!

Once upon a time as a child, I had the book Harry Potter and the Magic Bestiary.
I remember her very well, but then for some reason I couldn't find her ANYWHERE

and also in the same series were the books "Guide to Magic London" and "Magic Lexicon"
I never found who their author was, because Harry Potter was listed as the author everywhere!

Sock 2 I am a complete nerd

This is real funky, but way back when my mom bought me some Harry Potter lego games for my classic DS (the original janky red one) and I loved them. I don’t know why because they were awful (but still iconic).
