I Write Sins, Not Tragedies - Sa13+

Board Logos by: Me

This is my new fic, I Write Sins, Not Tragedies. I think I should explain the title... I chose this title because firstly I love P!atD, I thought it was an interesting (and hopefully attracting) title and also this is a Draco/Ginny fic. As Draco and Ginny would not really be accepted within the Weasley or Malfoy families, I labled it a sin, not a tragedy. Hahaha (this is why I don't write comedies, just romances) So... here you go.

I Write Sins, Not Tragedies

:Bill and Fleur’s wedding:
‘How could he leave me? After all that’s happened. It’s not like the world is out to get just him, even if Voldemort is! It’s all happened to me too! Dumbledore d-dying… that affected me too. Not just him.’ In Ginny’s mind, Harry was being selfish to break up with her. It wasn’t for her safety; she could take care of herself. And she was sure that if Voldemort were going for those most dear to Harry, he’d take the whole Weasley family. For months, Ginny was mad at him. Of course, that was easy, considering she didn’t have to see him. Then she saw him at Bill and Fleur’s wedding and her heart just melted. She couldn’t stay mad at him anymore. Now started the ‘depressed’ stage of recovering over Harry.
“Hey, Gin,” he said softly and politely. She wanted to be mad, but she had to smile. He saw the pained look she gave him though.
“Ginny, I’m sorry. You know I’m sorry, and you know I love you. Once it’s all over… once it’s all over we can be together again, “ he promised her. “You’ll wait for me, won’t you, Gin?” he asked. She couldn’t look at him anymore. She looked down at her heels, which matched her auburn hair almost perfectly. Fleur’s choice, of course. Ginny might have gone with… black, for this wedding.
“Weell, of course, she can’t be weering peenk. Eet weel clash ‘orriblee weeth ‘er ‘air!”
So they planned the wedding around the redheads’ hair. Harry was in a plain black tux with an average red bowtie. His black hair, untidy as always. Oh, even Ginny had to admit it, he looked amazing. Harry was still staring at her when she looked up. Her green eyes met his.
“Gin?” he asked again.
“It hurts Harry, it hurts. I… I don’t know if we can ever get back together. See you later, Harry.” Ginny went over to Fleur; she was the bridesmaid and had to walk behind the ‘blushing bride’. Of course, Ginny walking away killed Harry inside. Charlie was Bill’s best man, so Ron was free to sit with Harry. Unfortunately, Hermione wasn’t. She too, was roped into being a bridesmaid with Ginny.
“Harry?” Ron asked at his best friend’s sick face.
“Your sister hates me.” Harry sighed.
“I’m sorry, mate.” Ron said, as if he was sincerely sorry.
“I really am doing the right thing, aren’t I, Ron?” Harry asked. Ron nodded.
“You are, and I’m sure Hermione would tell you the same thing.” Harry cocked his head to one side while Ron looked back to the alter.
“Hey, mate, is there… er, something up with you and Hermione? I mean, you talk about her a lot… and you two haven’t been nearly so… HOSTILE to each other lately.” Harry pointed out. Ron blushed all the way to the tip of his ears.
“Er, Harry… we were going to tell you this, we really were… we were just, er waiting for a good ti-“ he was cut off by music.
“Later, mate.” Ron said brusquely, turning his attention back to the front. Harry couldn’t wait.
“Ron-“
“Shhh!” several witches around him hushed Harry. Harry grumbled in his seat. He watched Fleur travel up the aisle, beautiful in her veela-like ways as usual, but he also watched Ginny who, in his eyes, was even more beautiful. He couldn’t help but notice Ron’s eyes fixed on Hermione who gave him a small smile as she walked by. Oh, there was DEFINITELY something up between the two of them.
Harry watched the wedding with a sigh. Ginny was the only person he would ever want to marry, and she hated his guts right now. More then that, he knew they couldn’t be together until he defeated Voldemort.
The wedding was over. He may never see Ginny again. He had to talk to her again. She couldn’t be mad at him. What if he died?
“Ginny??” he begged and pleaded, but she only walked away. He had one more night before he left.

AsKnownAsAbby 10-23-2006 12:40 AM

:I’ll wait for him:
“Maybe you can get her to talk to me?” Harry begged her Hermione.
“Harry, she’s hurt! Can you really expect her to talk to you? She LOVED- she loves you.” Hermione corrected herself.
“And I love her too, but it’s for her own safety! And she knows that! And yes!! I can expect her to talk to me.” Harry said arrogantly.
“Oh, Harry, don’t be so naïve. You hurt her, and she’s mad. And she doesn’t want to be mad, because she loves you, which hurts her even more,” Hermione tried to explain. Harry, though, being a guy, couldn’t understand.
“Please Hermione. I want to say good-bye to her. What if I die?” he asked. He was using the guilt card. Hermione sighed.
“I’ll try, but I won’t promise you anything.” Hermione knew nothing would happen, but she could at least pretend, for Harry. Hermione left the room and went over to Ginny, who was undressing.
“’Mione! Close the door!” Ginny said sharply.
“Sorry…” Hermione said. She had been changing in front of Harry. Knowing she was about to spend a lot of time with him, she didn’t really care anymore, as long as she had underclothes on. She figured she might as well get used to it. Ginny wasn’t that comfortable with anyone in the house except Hermione, but she didn’t want the door wide open. Hermione was in pink silk muggle pajamas. Ginny was dressing in a nightgown.
“Ginny, he wants to talk to you, before he leaves.” Hermione didn’t have to say whom, Ginny already knew. She didn’t answer. Only looked down at the zipper she was zipping.
“Ginny, he still loves you. You know it’s for your safety and you can’t avoid him forever. What if he dies? Won’t you have wanted to say good-bye?” Hermione pleaded. Ginny nodded.
“I’ll say bye, but nothing else. ‘Mione, you know how much he hurt me.” Hermione nodded.
“Of course I know. And I know it’s hard.” Ginny looked up from her zipper cheerfully.
“Hey, but how are you and Ron? Did you guys tell Harry yet?”
“Er… no… we’ve been waiting for a good time to tell him.” Hermione felt a little guilty, especially when Ginny smiled.
“Well, he might find it out when you’re flying to you’re next adventure and you and Ron are snogging,” she giggled. Hermione blushed.
“Well, we’d better get to bed. We all have to wake up early tomorrow, so we can all be off… and you can say ‘bye and all.” Hermione was just trying to get of the conversation, and Ginny knew it. Even though they both wanted to sleep, they couldn’t help but be afraid this might be the last conversation they had in many months, years, or ever.
“I’m going to miss you.” Ginny said, and hugged Hermione, a tear falling out of her eye.
“I’ll miss you too.” Hermione said, starting to cry as well as she hugged Ginny back. The two stood like that for a while, and then decided they should get to bed. Ginny lay in her bed, and Hermione lay in a cot. Both were still awake, thinking.
‘What if I never see him again? What if we never have another kiss? Should I kiss him tomorrow? Mum’ll be there, but she won’t care. I’m sixteen after all… And of course I’ll miss ‘Mione and Ron… but I love Harry. I love them too, just in different ways. And they’ll have each other, Harry’ll have them… but they’ll have each other! Three is such an odd number. I wish he’d let me go. But no, I’m being forced back to school, where Malfoy – Crime-Wonder Boy will be back. I’ll miss Harry. I still love him. I’ll wait for him. I’ll always wait for him.’ Ginny managed to slip into sleep.

Yay! You're reading :) And shhh, I changed Ginny's eye color. I have a green-eye fetish, and I think she'd look nicer that way :P lol. Everyone (except Tom Felton) would look nicer with green eyes!! lol. Especially red-haired people.
Here's the next chapter:

---
:I’m happy you’re the one to save the world:
Ginny woke up earlier then everyone in the morning. She started on breakfast. She couldn’t use magic so she just went about fixing eggs and bacon and toast the muggle way, hoping it was ok. At least it was something to do with her time while she waited for everyone else to get up and get ready. She had dressed in a black skirt and white blouse, though not the school uniform. She wanted to look nice for the solemn day.
“Ginny?” Oh, no. It was Harry. Why was he up so early? She blushed; he was only dressed in his boxers and baggy muggle jeans. She couldn’t help but look at him a moment longer then necessary. She quickly looked back to her bacon, blushing a little.
“What are you doing up so early?” he asked.
“Making breakfast,” she answered brusquely.
“I couldn’t sleep either,” he sighed.
“Do you want anything?” she asked. He nodded.
“Yeah… if it’s ok,” he said. She didn’t answer, only set out a plate and put out eggs, bacon, and a piece of toast onto the plate with a fork.
“Ginny, please talk to me.” He begged her. She looked up to him, tears in her eyes that he hadn’t noticed before.
“What do you want me to say, Harry? That I’m happy YOU’re the one to save the world? Good luck, and good-bye? I’m going to wait for you, however long it takes?” she didn’t let him answer, “I can’t DO that Harry. Who knows how long it’ll be? I can’t wait forever. What happens if you DON’T come back? What if you meet someone better, and I’m here waiting?”
“I won’t meet anyone better-“
“I can’t wait my whole life for someone who may not come back to me. I love you, but unless you’re going to let me come with you, then I can’t wait. I can’t do it, Harry, I just can’t.” Ginny was full-out crying now. Harry went over and hugged her tightly.
“I love you, Ginny. And there is no one better then you, and no matter what, I will make sure I’m back for you.”
“But Harry, you can’t pro-“ he cut her off by kissing her. Trying to fight with herself and against him, she couldn’t do it… she succumbed to his kiss and let him kiss her, passionately. She moved away a little.
“Harry…” she whispered.
“Don’t talk.” He told her, moving in to kiss her again. She stopped him.
“This is it.” She told him, and he nodded, quick to kiss her again.
Ginny didn’t know how much later it was. It could have been hours, it could have been mere minutes or seconds… but she was sure she heard someone squeak on the stairs. Ginny and Harry both pulled away. She was supposed to be mad at him.
“I love you,” he told her.
“I love you too,” she said softly. Ron and Hermione both came down the stairs, holding hands.
“Seriously, mates, what’s up with you guys?” Harry asked.
“Oh, Harry!” Hermione blushed, letting go of Ron’s hand.
“Er, Harry, mate… me and Hermione… well, er, we’re-“
“-dating” Hermione finished the sentence Ron started. They looked at each other, then to Harry. Harry gaped. ‘Wow, he’s got to be thick not to have noticed that by now…’ Ginny thought in amazement.
“Wow…” was all Harry could say.
“We should get ready to go.” Hermione said, reasonably. Harry nodded.
“We can’t carry much, guys.” Harry told them.
“We know Harry.” Ron said, looking to Hermione. This was going to be a long, hard, painful trip. They could all see it at the very moment.
“Bye, Ginny.” Harry said, giving her a hug. To Hermione and Ron (and the rest of the Weasley family)’s surprise,
“Bye, Harry.” She said, hugging him back.

Yes, they do. :P She should have shouted... but then I would have had to create a whole new chapter of them not being mad at each other.

:What’re you looking at, Weaslette?:
Ginny still got to mope around the house for another week and a half. Oh, boy, wasn’t this just fun? Mrs. Weasley cleaned, Mr. Weasley worked, and all her brothers were gone now…
“Mum! I’m bored!” Ginny complained again.
“Help me clean,” Mrs. Weasley would suggest cheerfully.
“Ugh, I’d rather sleep.” Ginny would always say flippantly, going back to her room. When another week passed by, Mrs. Weasley decided it was time for school shopping.
“Come on, Ginny. We’re going to Diagon Alley!” She woke up her daughter. Ginny was excited; they didn’t get to go to Diagon Alley often.
“We’ll get all your school stuff, drop by Fred and George’s place, and then, oh,” she smiled happily, “we can get you a little extra something, whatever you want… since we’re not buying books and robes for anyone else this year, I’ll spoil you a bit.” She winked. Ginny grinned, she didn’t often get ‘a little extra something’ because the Weasley’s simply didn’t have the money for it.
Ginny missed her brothers, of course, but was momentarily glad they were gone and not using up her mother’s money. Ginny dressed in a fresh mini skirt, a tight black t-shirt, and slipped on black shoes. It was her last chance to look nice before she was stuffed into her uniform again.
“Oh, Ginny, don’t you look nice?” her mother sighed, looking at her not-so-little girl.
“Are we taking the Floo?” Ginny asked. Molly Weasley nodded.
“Yes, we are. Go ahead first.” Ginny stepped near the hearth and picked up some emerald colored powder. She threw it into the fire and stepped in.
“Diagon Alley!” she said strongly. In a moment she was traveling, and then she found herself stepping out of one of the fireplaces in the Diagon Alley side of the Leaky Cauldron.
“Perfect,” she muttered, brushing the soot off herself. She heard shouting, and looked right towards it.
“Stop it! You’re making a scene!” Narcissa Malfoy snapped at her son, Draco. Ginny quickly looked back at the fireplace to see her mother coming out, giggling a little.
“What were you looking at, Weaslette?” Draco barked, as he was about to pass.
“Nothing,” Ginny answered, the attention drawn to him was enough right now. She wasn’t in the mood to make another scene. Draco growled when she no other retort, and stalked off.
“Good job,” Mrs. Weasley smiled at her daughter, “that was very mature.” She put her hand on Ginny’s shoulder and the two started walking towards Madame Malkin’s Robe Shop. Finally, some new robes. GIRLS’ robes, she always seemed to wind up with her older brothers hand-me-downs… it was a much nicer fit. Then they got her books and then headed towards Weasley’s Wizard Wheezes.

:It works on everyone, especially teachers:
“Welcome to Weasley’s Wizard Wheezes where the jokes are booming with the business! Oh, hi mum, Ginny.”
“Fred!” Mrs. Weasley hugged her son. It was funny, how much taller then the squat little woman he was, Ginny had to notice. The only way they looked alike was that they both had fiery red hair.
“’Ello Fred.” Ginny greeted her brother, smiling. Fred and George were definitely her two most fun brothers.
“Ginny!” she was pulled into a hug from her other older brother, George.
“Hi George,” Ginny said, her voice muffled into his chest. He let her go laughing.
“Come ‘ere, Gin, I have the coolest thing to show you,” Fred pulled her hand and dragged her behind the counter. In the back there were tons of boxes, Fred kicked one to the side.
“Most of it’s a load of crud, but we gotta keep the progress work somewhere,” he tried to explain. Ginny nodded and followed him into a corner. He held up a little black packet.
“Invisopowder.” He stated, then he picked up a purple packet. Plain black, plain purple.
“Uninvisopowder.” She stared at him, slightly confused.
“Invisopowder, makes you invisible until you apply the Uninvisopowder. Uninvisopowder can make anything visible. Anything, no matter what curse or hex is on it.” Fred was obviously very proud of the inventions. He gave a packet of each to her.
“This is your year at the school alone, enjoy it.” He said. She smiled.
“Thank you, Fred.”
“Hey! Fred isn’t the only good brother, I have something for you too.” George called, walking into the storage room. He came over to the corner and pulled out something else. A blue packet this time. Still no labels.
“This is Care Powder. We’re working on turning everything into powders,” he explained, “it’s actually the opposite of what it sounds like. It makes you not care, about anything. It lasts for an hour a tablespoon.” He pressed the packet into her palm, “It works on anyone. Especially teachers.” He grinned. She laughed.
“Thanks, George.”
“How’s Arnold?” Fred asked. He was asking, of course, about Arnold, Ginny’s pet pigmy puff… an invention of Fred and George’s from the year before.
“Wonderful, and completely healthy. How’re the pigmy puff’s selling?” she inquired.
“Like hotcakes. Honestly, people don’t get tired of the things.” George was in amazement.
“I love ‘em too…” Fred admitted, “they’re awfully funny.” He laughed.
“He’s got two upstairs that he won’t let me sell,” George whispered to Ginny, who smiled. Fred playfully rolled his eyes.
“One of them’s George’s,” Fred told her. She laughed.
“Ginny?” Mrs. Weasley called.
“That’s mum, we’ve got to go. ‘Bye guys!” Ginny hugged her brothers and left the storage room.
“’Bye boys!” Mrs. Weasley waved. Of course, Mrs. Weasley could come visit the boys anytime, Ginny could only see them about once a year, so it was much more exciting for her.
“Time for your special present!” Mrs. Weasley finally said. She seemed more excited then Ginny, she probably was.
“What is it?” Ginny asked.
“Anything you want.” Mrs. Weasley grinned proudly.
“C-can I get a pet? I really want an owl or a cat. I mean, I know you just GOT Ron and owl, but he took Pig with him…. But oh, a cat would be nice too,” Ginny sighed longingly. Crookshanks too, was taken on the trip. It was too dangerous for Ginny, but Pig, Hedwig, and Crookshanks could go. How unfair was that??
“Of course dear. Which would you like? Owl… or cat?” Ginny really wanted an owl, but knew she would only give in to the urge to send a letter to Harry. So instead, she got a cat. A gorgeous long-haired black cat.
“Simone.” She named him decisively. She knew it was more of a girls’ name for a boy cat, but she didn’t care. Simone was her new cat, and she loved him already.
“But if you go after Arnold, you’re going away.” Ginny told him playfully.
“Let’s go back home. We’ve had enough fun for today.” Mrs. Weasley took Ginny and steered her back towards the Leaky Cauldron where they would Floo home.

rupertsgirl67 10-24-2006 09:06 PM

Aww, that's awfully cute. Ginny has a cat. I had a black cat...well, he had one teeny tiny little patch of white on his stomach, like the size of a tooney, but he died about five years ago...oh Hallowe'en, weird enough. Funny little thing he was, and ever since, my other cat has gotten fat. Oh well, more of him to love!

On a happier note: i luvd that post. Brilliant, i say. Everyone agrees, right? Right. Anyways, George is just adorable, he is. Fred too, i guess. Never really could tell the difference. But i like George better. And yes, i don't like Ginny that much, but this fic is awesome!

:That FURBALL of a thing?:
Oh, finally, it was time to go to school. Generally, that’s not something you hear, but when you go to Hogwarts it’s on almost every students’ minds.
“Ginny?” Mrs. Weasley called.
“Already up!” Ginny yelled back. She had packed her trunk the night before and was already up and dressed, her hair brushed and everything. She dragged her trunk down the stairs, it ‘thumped’ down the whole way.
“Oh, I wish you wouldn’t do that Ginny. Here, breakfast, “ she pushed a plate into her daughter’s hands.
“No time, mum! Let’s go!”
“Gi-“ Ginny had already grabbed Mrs. Weasley’s arm.
“Arthur! Come on!” Mrs. Weasley yelled, Mr. Weasley ran after them.
“Honestly, Ginny, you’d think we were awful parents…” he sighed.
“I want to go to school. At least there’ll be SOMEONE to talk to there!” Mrs. Weasley laughed as they all packed into the Ford Anglia. It wasn’t nearly as crowded as usual, Ginny got the whole backseat to herself, Simone, and Arnold. That was really nice.
Finally, Kings Cross Station. “Watch it!” a voice growled, “Oh, mother… why do muggles have to be so stupid?”
“I don’t know Draco, just come on,” Narcissa urged him. Ginny looked up at the sound of Draco’s name, and blushed immediately. She wasn’t sure why she looked at him, and he wasn’t sure why he looked at her at the same time. Whatever the reason they caught each other’s eyes, and looked back to their respective parents quickly.
“Mum, come on,” Ginny dragged her mother towards Platform 9¾.
There was a scarlet train already waiting on the platform. Ginny kissed her mother and father goodbye and waved as she pulled her trunk onto the train. She had no one to sit with this year. Well, there was Luna and Neville, but sitting with them could be awfully boring. So taking Simone, Arnold, and her trunk Ginny went into her own compartment. Luckily there was just the one left.
“Weaslette,” a cruel voice mocked. No… not him. Anyone but him.
“What do you want, Malfoy?” Ginny asked distastefully. Her trunk was up above the seat and her cat and pygmy puff in their cages. It was a lot to carry, but Ginny didn’t mind.
“Nowhere else to sit,” he answered simply.
“Oh, well doesn’t that just suck?” Ginny smirked sadistically.
“Yes, I’ll have to sit here,” he smirked as well.
“Um, no you won’t.” She replied.
“Weasley, there’s no where else to sit. Even you wouldn’t be so rude as to kick me out,” he made a sad face at her, but she wouldn’t buy it.
“Why don’t you go sit with some of your Slytherin friends?” Ginny asked. Draco cackled, yes, she swore that he cackled.
“Most of them are too stupid to have passed last year, they didn’t come this year. And Pansy’s with a bunch of giggling girls. First years,” he said distastefully, “something about… passing on the Slytherin traditions.” Ginny rolled her eyes. There was nowhere else for him? She didn’t answer, only sat down on one of the compartment seats and took out her cat.
“Hey Simone…” she said soothingly. Draco had taken it as an invitation to hoist up his trunk, and sit down opposite from her.
“You call that FURBALL of a thing SIMONE?” he asked, smirking still.
“Yes, do you have a problem with that?” she asked, looking up to Draco.
“As a matter of fact y-“ he was about to say yes, but as he looked at her, something changed, “no.” he said, amazed at himself. She gaped a little, but went back to petting Simone. Ginny thought for a moment then looked up.
“No hexes. The whole train ride.” She made him promise. He sighed.
“Deal.” Once again, he had surprised not only Ginny but also himself with his words. The rest of the train ride went moderately well, there was a few words exchanged… some insulting, some not. Most of all though, it was unusually pleasant, and that was odd. Once at Hogwarts, Draco took it upon himself to help Ginny with her trunk, getting it down for her, and she offered to share a carriage. He declined, of course, but said he ‘appreciated the offer’. What was up with them? They both noticed it, but couldn’t understand it. Both of them seemed like they were under a spell, the definitely felt like it. Both knew exactly what they wanted to say, but it didn’t come out of their mouths. Weird.
“See ya, Weaslette, “ he said flippantly, walking away and towards Pansy Parkinson.
“Whatever, Malfoy,” she dismissed him equally as distastefully. After a beat, both looked back at each other, slightly longingly. Noting each other, they gave the other a sneer, and turned back towards their own carriage.

:IjustwantyoutoknowI’vechanged:
Generally, Ginny loved the sorting. She chatted with her friends and clapped for the new Gryffindor students, but this year it was boring. She really had no one to talk to, and the new students just seemed so small and annoying. She sighed. Neville sat next to her, but didn’t speak, he just looked over at Luna who was looking back at him.
“Ask her to Hogsmeade,” Ginny whispered.
“What?” Neville asked, turning his attention to the Weasley.
“Ask Luna to Hogsmeade.” Ginny repeated.
“Wh-why?” Neville asked.
“Because you OBVIOUSLY like her,” Ginny said. Neville turned bright crimson and didn’t answer. Finally, it was time for the headmaster’s speech. How odd it was for Professor McGonagall to go and make the speech this year. How weird it was for all the returning students to listen to it.
“… and this year we’re going to have a ball at the end of the year! For those of you students that have been here at least three years, it will be much like the Yule Ball, yes, with Durmstrang and Beauxbatons returning. Durmstrang and Beauxbatons Academies are two other wizarding schools, and they will be joining us for the ball. We’re hoping to bring together wizards again, and re-inspire unity… rather then differences. Diversity! I’m sorry, but no one under fourth year may attend unless they’re escorted by a fourth year or older student.” Ginny remembered the Yule Ball. She had gone with Neville, when she was a third year. She had wished Harry would ask her, but of course… he hadn’t thought about it. He hadn’t thought about Ginny as a girl, just as Ron hadn’t thought about Hermione as a girl, until after it was too late. Now it was ball time again, and Harry wouldn’t be there. Another dance, another ball without Harry. Ginny sighed.
“Oh, the Yule Ball was so much fun…” Neville reminisced. Ginny nodded.
“Yeah…” she said softly.
“What was the Yule Ball?” a first year boy asked them excitedly from across the table.
“A dance,” Ginny answered.
“Who’d you go with?” A young girl asked her.
“I went with Neville,” Ginny told the girl.
“Who’s Neville?” the boy asked. Ginny smiled when Neville shyly raised his hand.
“I am,” he told them.
“Oooh!” the girl and the boy chorused. After a look shared between the two, Ginny smiled and said,
“We went as friends.” The girl rolled her eyes.
“Yeah, right,” she said.
“I bet they snogged,” the boy whispered, Neville turned pink. Ginny rolled her eyes, she wouldn’t be bothered by their gossip. It was the first time since coming to Hogwarts that she couldn’t wait until getting back to the common room. Instead of waiting, she decided to go for a walk. Getting up from the table, she bid adieu to Neville and smiled politely at the first years (who giggled upon her leaving). She walked seemingly aimlessly, only to wind up at the lake. She stared at the lake. It was so gorgeous, especially at night. The moon reflected off the calm surface. Everything seemed… right.
“Ow!” Ginny hollered when someone bumped right into her and knocked her to the ground.
“Oh, sorry,” a male voice said, seemingly caught off-guard. He lent his hand to help her up and Ginny took it, not noticing who it was until she stood up. She dusted herself off, only to look up into the face of Draco Malfoy. Had he really just appologized to her? He must not have known who it was, and yet… he stared at her, knowing it was her. She scoffed.
“Whatever,” she said carelessly. Funny, how that seemed to hurt him… he looked down at the ground. She stared at him, wondering what was so weird with him. Why was he out here anyways?
“IjustwantyoutoknowthatI’vechanged.” He said without a breath or space between words.
“Wha-?” but before she could ask what or why he was here, he was leaving. Ginny sighed. It was true though, Ginny had noticed. Draco had changed. He didn’t start fights every time he saw her, which had been at least a few times already.
Of course, this meant nothing. She’d go on treating him the same way. Though, of course, she already hadn’t. She’d already softened up to not picking fights every time she saw him. Oh, well, she’d have to go back to it. He had changed, she hadn’t, and she remembered what he was even if he didn’t.
It was late by the time Ginny finished thinking. Time to go back to the common room. Everyone was still there, all her friends… but it wasn’t the same. She couldn’t be friends with them anymore. As much as she didn’t want to believe it, it was true. Ginny had changed. She’d grown up with her brother, best friend, and love leaving her and these were petty, immature girls.
“Ginny!” they giggled as she came into the dormitory.
“You look amazing!” one said, the other’s chorused yeah’s.
“Where were you, during the sorting and all?” Ginny just sort of, waved her off. She’d never thought about it, but most of her good friends were seventh years. They’d either left, or she didn’t have the same connection with them anymore either… since Harry, Hermione, and Ron had left. This was going to be a lonely year if she didn’t find new friends, fast. Hagrid. That was it. Tomorrow she’d go to Hagrid to talk, she decided.

:Thanks a lot, Harry:
“Hagrid!” Ginny pounded on the door. No answer. Fang was barking inside, but Hagrid wasn’t there.
“No, no! They can’t do this! Hagrid can’t be gone!” Ginny cried and cried on his front step. It was hours later, she still sat on the front step crying.
“He can’t be gone… he can’t be gone…” she murmered over and over whilst she cried.
“How can anyone be that mean?” she asked the skies, “someone must absolutely HATE me. I mean, first Harry, Hermione, and Ron… then back here with no friends… he can’t be gone… he can’t be gone…”s
“Who can’ b’gon’?” someone asked and a large shadow fell over Ginny.
“HAGRID!” she yelled and jumped up to hug him, tears still streaming down her face. Hagrid hugged her back, trying very hard not to squish the tiny girl.
“’Lo Ginny. ‘ou wanna com’ in?”he asked, opening the door to his hut. Ginny nodded, still trying to regain composure and control over herself and her cries.
“Whassamatter?” he asked her, already beginning to make tea.
“Everyone’s gone. The year’s barely started, and I’m already hating it,” Ginny sighed.
“’ating Hogwar’s?” Hagrid asked, “Nah, noone can REALLY ha’ Hogwar’s!” Hagrid didn’t believe her.
“But Ron’s gone, Hermione’s gone, and H-Harry’s gone… it’s lonely.” She protested.
“Sure, bu’ nex’ year ‘ey’d be gon’ an’ways,” he reasoned.
“But that’s not the same. Then, I’d know they’d be gone, and I’d know I’d see them again, over breaks and over the summer. Now I always know they’re gone, ‘cause I see Neville and everyone in their year. And Dumbledore’s gone… it’s all changed, and I’ve changed,” she finally admitted it, “and now I hve no friends.”
“Ginny…” he tried to sooth her, but now that her tears were back he knew there was nothing he could say, so he just gave her tea. She sat there, crying all day while Hagrid watched her sadly, having nothing to say to help her.
“Er, Ginny, ‘s time fo’ dinn’r,” he said softly, afraid of another sobbing outburst.
“Thank you, Hagrid. For listening,” she said, getting up. Hagrid escorted her to the Great Hall. He sat with the teachers, and she sat “with” the Gryffindors. While she sat with them, she didn’t participate in any conversations, only sullenly ate her food. She then went back to her common room. Classes tomorrow. At least that would keep her busy. She wouldn’t have to worry about people, and social stuff. Funny enough, it seemed the weekend would be the worst part of her week (while it always used to seem the best)
Just by him leaving, Harry had turned Ginny’s life around. “Thanks a lot, Harry,” she cursed him in her brain. Then, of course, she had to appologize and wish him luck on his journey. It wouldn’t do to have him die, he couldn’t come back to her then, but why did he ever have to leave? She sighed. Life was not going right.

:We have no friends:
Ginny Weasley was smart. She supposed that’s why she was in potions with the seventh years. Or maybe it was just because Professor Slughorn absolutely loved her. Either way, she wound up in the class.
“I’m assigning tables,” He announced, when they came into the classroom. Double potions with Slytherins AND he was assigning tables? Perhaps that would actually be better then having to choose… since she barely knew anyone-
“…Draco Malfoy, and Ginny Weasley, over here…“ -or maybe not. She plopped her bag down and sat across from Draco.
“Malfoy,” she sneered distastefully.
“Weasley,” he said, trying to be equally repulsed.
“This year, you are going to work in your small groups to make potions. Oh, joy. Days wore on. Few words were passed between Draco and Ginny while they worked, only when they were forced to speak. It was quiet, but at least it wasn’t hostility.
Then, one day, came the hard potion. Ginny could hardly make it, and neither could Draco. They worked together, but only succeeded in it blowing up. They both laughed and chatted over the blown-up potion. Days wore on and the two talked a little bit more, and it was even friendly.
“Think we can manage this potion?” Draco would ask Ginny good-naturedly. Ginny would smile in return, maybe wink and say,
“I think we can handle it.” By no means were the two friends. Outside of potions they didn’t speak, and they were their regular mean selves. They still had no friends to impress by this… but it didn’t matter. It was for their own pride.
Ginny’s friends no longer tried to change her back into “Old Ginny” as they called her. Most of Draco’s friends had left, become Death Eaters, or just didn’t talk to him. Even Pansy didn’t talk to him. She spent all her time teaching Slytherin’s youth to be mean. She wasn’t the cruelest to him, but she wasn’t nice to him and she CERTAINLY wasn’t in love with him anymore. It was lonely for both of them, and they wished they had someone to talk to but they weren’t about to talk to each other. Not between classes anyways. If they had any shot of friends (which was already slim to none) talking to each other wasn’t going to increase the shot. Finally, though, it was quarter-way through the year and Ginny and Draco both had to admit it. They had no friends. And it was one day after Draco had finally admitted this to himself that he waited in an empty classroom for Ginny Weasley to walk by.
“Oh my GOD!” She screamed as he grabbed her arm and pulled her into the empty room. He pulled her close and held his hand over his mouth to stifle her cries. That worked until, of course, she bit his hand.
“Ow f-“ a string of curses came next as he let her go and shook out his hand.
“Way to be immature,” he muttered. Ginny shrugged.
“Sorry…” she said. How weird, why was she saying sorry to Malfoy? He had pulled her into the abandoned room anyways. HE had covered her mouth, she was perfectly with in rights to bite him. On top of all that… it was Malfoy.
“Why did you pull me in here anyways?” she asked bitterly.
“Because, we have to admit it. Neither of us have friends, except each other. And I… I wanted to make it clear that…” he took a deep breath, it was obviously hard for him to say, “I’m you’re friend.”
Ginny went wide-eyed.
“Say it,” he urged her. It took her over an hour, they stood there. Draco waited for Ginny to speak, and she tried to get the words out of her mouth. Finally, he was done waiting. Draco stepped to leave. He had been in the position so long he was almost stiff, but Ginny also moved and reached out for his arm.
“I’m you’re friend too,” she then laughed bitterly, “no one’ll believe it though. A Weasley and a Malfoy?” she asked.
“Obviously possible though.” He told her. She nodded, and laughed again. Draco laughed with her.
“We’re … friends!” they said together, still laughing. She hadn’t noticed she was still holding his arm, but he had. He didn’t tell her to move though. Instead it only made him laugh more.
“We’re friends,” they repeated in an undertone, “friends.”

:You got yourself a date:
Draco and Ginny weren’t the best friends in the world. They would occasionally smile at each other in the hallways, they’d help each other during class, they’d occasionally even take a walk together, just the two of them. It wasn’t like they had anyone to show off to, they were ridiculed as it was. Ginny: the girl that changed, and was left behind, Draco: the boy that got caught as a Death Eater. No treally what they wanted to be known as.
“Hey, you wanna… er, sit together? During dinner? I mean, we have no one better to sit with,” Ginny asked one day while her and Draco were working on a potion.
“What?” he asked her.
“Sit together, during dinner. You know, take our food… head out to the lake or something… and eat.” Draco paused, the vial he was holding poised in midair. He looked at her and smiled slyly.
“You got yourself a date, Weaslette.” Once he realized what he said about a date though, he started stuttering in explination,
“Er, not a date… I mean, er… well you know, as friends.” Ginny smiled.
“I know what you mean,” she said, giggling. Draco smiled back. Ginny wasn’t sure she had ever seen him genuinly smile before they admitted they were friends. It was a whole different side to the once-thought prat. Draco was just like any other person though, he could actually be nice.
During the rest of the potions class, they made up their plan. Draco would take his food and walk outside and to the garden. Ginny would get her own food and follow outside, but she would walk past the garden and to the lake. Once Draco saw her pass, he’d follow her to her choice spot on the lake. Before they left the class, Ginny flipped her hair, with a small smile back to him and Draco sneered at her but Ginny could see the small smile play on his mouth.
Ginny went through the rest of the day smiling. Finally, she had something to look forward to. That was the first time in over a month.
“What is she smiling at?” girls in her class would ask. Pfft, like she didn’t hear their gossip.
“I dunno, but she went into the seventh year potions class frowning, and came out smiling.” They talked about who she could possibly have a crush on or whatever, and Ginny only laughed in her head. She was stuck at the table with three of her former friends who thought she wasn’t listening to them. They thought she never listened through her Herbology class. Finally Ginny started laughing out loud. The girls started at her and started whispering again.
“My GOD you girls are pathetic! What do you THINK I’m laughing at you twits? I’m laughing at you, talking right in front of my face like I can’t hear you. I’m not an idiot. I can hear you perfectly well. If you want to know why I’m smiling you should bloody well ASK!”
“Miss Weasley! If you don’t mind, try to do your work without distracting the class!” Professor Sprout reprimanded her.
“Sorry, professor.” She mumbled. The girls still stared at Ginny. One of the cockier ones smiled sickly.
“Alright then, what’re you smiling at?” she asked.
I am smiling because I have a date tonight,” Ginny told them matter-of-factly. Instinctively, they looked at each other about to start gossiping again.
“Puh-lease don’t even! Just ASK me who it is!” Ginny said, cutting off the words of the girls about to speak.
“Who is it?” the same girl asked.
“Now that, is my personal business, and I’m not going to tell you.” Ginny smirked and went back to her work. The girls gaped at each other.

:Awkard, but nice:
Ginny was proud of herself. She had FINALLY gotten the girls off her back. They were awfully scared to make fun of her now, and who would be the perfect person to tell? Draco Malfoy of course. Ginny couldn’t wait to eat dinner with him. She saw him leave the Great Hall. Perfect… only a few more minutes, she was excited. It was now her turn to leave. She picked up her food and left the Great Hall walking straight past the garden where she so much wanted to stop. She continued though, and walked straight over to a tree by the lake where she stopped with her plate of food. She sat down, leaning against the tree where she waited for Draco.
“Well, miss, are you waiting for someone?”
Ginny looked up and smiled, “Yeah, but I’m afraid he might have stood me up.”
“Nah, I don’t think so.” Of course, it was Draco.
“Then what are we waiting for? Let’s eat,” she suggested. Draco nodded and sat down with his own plate of food. Mostly they ate in silence, that was what they were used to after all. Not to mention, they didn’t have much to say. Finally, Draco couldn’t take the silence.
“So… how were the rest of your classes?” he asked, chewing politely.
“Er… they were good. How ‘bout yours?” Ginny asked awkwardly.
“They were good… quiet,” Draco admitted. Ginny nodded and they went back to eating in silence. After they finished Ginny vanished the plates for them. She was better at that sort of stuff then he was (though he would never admit it).
“So… I s’pose we should go in?” she offered a little sadly.
“Er, yeah… probably,” he sighed in agreement.
“Look, well, this was… nice,” Ginny managed.
“Awkward… but nice,” Draco agreed. Ginny giggled.
“Yes, I s’pose it was rather awkward.” He nodded.
“Maybe we should… try again tomorrow?” he offered. Ginny smiled.
“I’d like that,” she said.
“See you tomorrow then?” he asked. She nodded,
“See you tomorrow.” She left, smiling happily.
Ginny wasn’t sure what it was about seeing Draco that made her so happy. In the past, just seeing him would completely ruin a day… now it was what made her day; seeing, and talking to him. She sighed, Dumbledore would know what was wrong with her. He knew everything. Oh, she missed Dumbledore. Ginny also missed Harry, and Ron, and Hermione… Hermione would have known what to do too. Well, Hermione wouldn’t have gotten a crush on Draco in the first place. Wait, where did THAT come from?! Ginny didn’t have a crush on Draco. They were just friends. Wow, friends. Even that was a stretch.
Even still, Hermione wouldn’t have befriended Draco. Though, if she ever had, she’d know how to get out of it. Ginny sighed again and muttered the password to the common room to the portrait of the fat lady.
Alohamora.
“Very nice, Miss Weasley.” The fat lady said happily, swinging open. Ginny rolled her eyes, walking into the common room. She wondered how Harry and the others were. She was scared for them. She didn’t want anyone to die. Perhaps… perhaps going to sleep would solve her problems. At least for the night. She went straight up to her common room and slipped on her night dress.
“Good-night, Ginny,” she could have sworn she heard. It was a mix of voices. Harry, Dumbledore, Ron, Hermione, and… Draco Malfoy. She gave a shiver and lay in bed awake for a while before falling asleep. Slowly she slipped into slumber.
“Good-night,” she whispered back.

:Isaidyournameinmysleepandthegirlsinthedormheard:
“Draco?! As in Draco MALFOY?!” The girls in Ginny’s dorm were laughing as she woke up.
“What?” she asked groggily.
“You were saying in your dream how much you LOVE Draco Malfoy!” the girls laughed.
“I did not!” Ginny said stubbornly.
“You did too! You were talking about having dinner with him or someth- OH MY GOD! Is THAT where you went instead of dinner last night?!” the girls started laughing. Ginny blushed.
“No, I wasn’t feeling well, I came up here, then I went down to the lake for a little while.”
“With Draco.” they laughed. Ginny, infuriated, pulled on a robe over her pajamas and stormed down to the common room. She stomped on past the common room and straight to the spot at the lake she had been at last night.
“Heyya, miss.” Ginny smiled without looking up, she knew who it was already.
“Hey,” she said softly. Draco smiled softly and sat down next to her.
“What’s wrong?” he asked her. Blushing, she avoided his question.
“How’d you know I’d be out here?” she asked. Draco shrugged,
“I didn’t.’’
“So you just came out here?” she asked. He shrugged again.
“I wanted to think.”
“Me too.” Ginny told him.
“But something’s wrong.” *Damn.* He had caught her, again. She shrugged with a muffled sound that sounded like “ehhh”. Draco smirked at her and she sighed.
“Yes. I subconciously saidyournameinmysleepandthegirlsinmydormheardme.” She mumbled the last part.
“What?” Draco asked. Ginny sighed, not wanting to have to repeat herself… but doing it anyways,
“I subconciously said your name in my sleep… and the girls in my dorm heard me…” she sighed. Draco’s smirk only grew. Ginny rolled her eyes.
“Oh, stop it,” she said. What an ego Draco Malfoy had… Draco eyed her stealthily.
“Forget to get dressed today?” he asked her, changing the subject. It only made Ginny blush worse as she nodded. His smirk grew still.
“I think it’s time for me to go back inside…” she said finally. Draco nodded.
“Me too,” he told her. Ginny went back to her common room. It was Saturday so she had no reason to rush to change, but she went right up to her dormitory and changed into some comfortable jeans and a comfy black sweater, it was already getting cold at Hogwarts. She decided to take another stroll by the lake. As the wind blew in her auburn hair she sighed, thinking about Draco again.
Ginny then thought about how it was almost Halloween, one of the most celebrated holidays in the wizarding world. Ginny loved Halloween. Her mother sent her sweets and they got a day off of classes. It was a nice time, something good to look forward to. Maybe Fred and George would send her something from the shop…

: Dear Ginny:
Soon, it was October 30th. While Ginny spent time with Draco… time seemed to pass quickly. Hogwarts was going to have a huge Halloween feast, as always.
“Are we gonna go out to the lake?” Draco asked Ginny turning potions the day before. She sighed.
“I dunno… it might be a nice way to spend Halloween… but I do love the feast.” Draco nodded in agreement.
“How ‘bout we stay for the first half of the feast, then leave when it gets boring?” he asked.
“Sounds like a plan,” she answered. It was Halloween, and time for the feast. Ginny socialized a little, saying hello to fellow Gryffindors. Quietly, she ate and was relieved when she saw Draco leave the table. Ginny was quick to follow, not quite taking the normal five minutes before leaving.
Once she made it to the tree and Draco came to her, he immediately hissed,
“You were early.”
“Sorry,” she shrugged, “I couldn’t wait.” Draco smirked at her. Ginny rolled her eyes. The two talked a little, mostly about how much everyone else in the school basically sucked and how vicious they could be. They laughed a little too, and soon it was late. Ginny gave Draco an awkward hug before leaving. He was slightly surprised and patted her back twice, even more awkwardly then her hugging him. She broke away, cheeks pink, and went back to the Gryffindor common room. She went up to the dormitory and undressed. As soon as she had slipped her nightgown on she heard clawing.
“Simone?” she asked the cat who was clawing at the window. At the window there was something tapping. Picking up Simone, Ginny opened the window and a teeny brown owl fluttered in crazily.
“Pig!” she squealed happily.
“Pig! What’re you doing here?!” she asked, as if the little owl could answer. Of course, he couldn’t, and just stuck out his leg. Ginny nearly dropped Simone in order to hastily untie the letter. Simone didn’t like that much, and went right onto Ginny’s bed, spreading out and taking as much room as he possibly could.
Ginny untied the letter tied to Pig’s foot. Oh, it would be great to hear from Ron, Harry, and/or Hermione. She wondered who had actually written.
Dear Ginny, Hermione is telling me not to write to you, that it’s too dangerous… but I have to. I miss you so much. I figure we’re in a pretty safe spot now… and I’m sending Pig instead of Hedwig… less noticeable. Anyways… we’re doing alright. Sometimes going a little hungry, but nothing really tough so far. We think we’ve discovered where another horcrux is, but we’re still checking up on that. Can’t say much about it before Hermione kills me (though of course, she says hello and says she hopes Hogwarts is good and that she misses you). Ron also says hi and that he misses you, but I swear I miss you more then the two of them together. Please do send me a letter back (Pig knows to where), but keep it short and not TOO detailed, incase it gets intercepted… I hope you’re enjoying Hogwarts. Wish I was there. Love, Harry P.S. Please don’t tell your mother about this letter, she’ll know it wasn’t safe to send either…
Ginny read it through a few times. Wow… funny enough, she had almost fogotten about Harry, Hermione, and her brother. Of course, they were always in the back of her mind, but lately she seemed to have stopped worrying about them, and missing them all the time. Getting the letter was a huge surprise. It took her a while to decide what to say to write back. Before she wrote the letter back, she thought about whether or not to tell Draco. Ginny was SURE Draco wasn’t part of the dark side anymore… but he never did like the ‘Golden Trio’ in the first place…

:Have any answers?:
“What’s the harm in telling him? He doesn’t know where they are anyways.” Ginny finally decided, taking the letter with her to dinner.
“Draco…” she said softly.
“Mmm?” he asked, watching the lake.
“I got a letter from Harry,” she said. Draco was instantly snapped to attention as he whipped his head to face hers.
“What?” he asked.
“I got a letter from Harry,” she repeated. Draco thought about this for a moment.
“Why are you telling me this?” he asked.
“I have no idea,” Ginny admitted. Draco thought for another moment or so. Ginny realized that Draco was actually quite thoughtful and sensitive, if he wanted to be.
“Did you tell me because you want me to help you decide what to do? To write him back or not? Or what you want to feel? If you still love him or not?” he asked her. Ginny sighed. She didn’t know.
“Have any answers?” she asked. Draco smirked and shook his head.
“Sorry, but I don’t.” he shrugged. Ginny pouted, but Draco didn’t give him. She sighed and giggled a little bit.
“I s’pose it was worth a try,” she shrugged. Draco shrugged in return.
“Well, you better get back to writing to Potter.” As usual, he said ‘Potter’ very distastfully, though for some reason Ginny thought she heard a little bit more disgust then usual.
“How do you know I am?” she asked spitefully.
“Because you want to,” he told her, slightly sadly, getting up. Ginny sighed.
“Yeah, but I have no idea what to say.”
“How ‘bout you start with ‘Hey Harry, I’m running away to elope with Malfoy… later’.” He grinned at his own joke, and Ginny rolled her eyes.
“Besides not being true, that might just give him, and my brother, and Hermione a heart attack.” Draco shrugged.
“You’ll have to fit me in there somehow,” he told her. She knew he was right too, but didn’t admit it.
“God, you have some ego,” she said instead. Draco smirked.
“Comes with the charm,” he told her. Ginny laughed.
“I s’pose I should go write now…” she said. Draco agreed as he helped her up. They hugged. It was slightly less awkward now. As she walked back to the common room, there was no doubt in her mind… Ginny liked Draco.
Dear Harry,” she began.

:Gryffindors and Slytherins can be friends:
Ginny rewrote the letter several times. Finally she ended with what she thought was at least… acceptable, even if it wasn’t a great letter.
Dear Harry, do say hello to Hermione and my brother for me. And I wish you all luck. I miss you as well, of course, I think about you all the time… I’m finding no friends at Hogwarts anymore without you guys. Your friends aren’t my friends anymore, I’ve grown apart from my old friends… and you’all are gone… I s’pose… that’s what drew me closer to someone else… You’d never expect who it was. Again, luck to you all. xoxo Love <3, Ginny” she wrote. It wasn’t at all specific about Draco. She couldn’t bring herself to do it. She wasn’t embarrassed of him or anything, but it just wasn’t something the trio would approve of, and she didn’t want to worry them. Harry’s letter also said not to be specific anyway… Ginny was just taking that to the next degree… And sure, she lied a little bit about missing him all the time and all, but that was alright. It was a little white lie. Nothing that would harm anyone.
---
“You didn’t tell him?!” Draco nearly exploaded. Ginny had sent Pig off last night with the letter. Ginny shrunk where she stood.
“I couldn’t do it! You know what his reaction would be! And he said not to be specific anyways!” Ginny tried to excuse herself.
“Ginny… are you embarrassed?” he asked her, perfectly calm… a weird change from only a few seconds ago.
“Well… no, but… how many people have YOU told we’re friends?” she challenged him.
“No one, but no one’s asked either.”
“He didn’t specifically ask about you.”
“No, but he asked what was going on. Us going from loathing each other to becoming friends is certainly SOMETHING,” Draco reminded her. Ginny was ashamed.
“Look. I couldn’t do it. What would happen if he got distracted and died? I’d feel terrible. And yes… I know that’s a little… far-fetched… but honestly, you know how he’d react. I don’t know what he’d do,” she sighed. This was certainly not an answer, solution, or the end in anyway, but Draco was giving up for now, and Ginny was greatful. She sighed and sunk down near the tree.
It was mid-November now, and awfully cold. Ginny had to wear her warm robe over all her outfits to keep warm, and often a scarf as well.
“We need to find a new spot,” she said desicively.
“Hm??” Draco asked her.
“Yeah, it’s cold out here… we need somewhere indoors.”
“How ‘bout the Room of Requirement?” Draco offered. Ginny nodded.
“Sounds good. Just think… ‘I need a place to go where Gryffindors and Slytherins can be friends’. No one else is bound to be there, anyways.”
“Good idea. See you there tomorrow,” he helped her off the ground where they sat and pulled her into a hug. Dinnertime was always their time to meet and talk, she’d see him tomorrow.

:He wasn’t a Malfoy:
The day was boring. As usual, the most interesting part was potions… which was odd, considering when Snape was professor she hated it. Of course, then there was dinner… which was pretty interesting. She walked past the Room of Requirement thinking ‘I need a place to go where Gryffindors and Slytherins can be friends.’ On her third time by, a door appeared. She balanced her little tray of food between her hand and her hip while she opened the door. Draco was laying on a little couch lazily.
“You’re late,” he told her idly.
“Sorry,” she mumbled. Draco yawned.
“What took you?” he asked her, moving over and making room for Ginny on the couch. There was a nice little table to put her food on.
“Rachel,” she said, sighing. Rachel was one of Ginny’s old friends. Now, she did nothing but give Ginny a hard time.
“What’d she do this time?” he asked. Draco was familiar with Rachel by now… through so many conversations he and Ginny had had.
“She comes out of the Great Hall with me asking where I go everyday. And I said ‘out’ so she asks if I go with you, since you leave every day too… and I asked why it was any of her damn business and she was just picking a fight, so I pulled out my wand on her, and she runs to get Professor McGonagoll…. I ran the over here,” Ginny ended in sobs. The girl wouldn’t stop tormenting her, even with stupid little things like that.
“Shhh,” Draco said, wrapping her into a hug, “shhh.” Ginny’s cries were muffled into his shoulders.
“It’s alright… she’s nothing,”
“I thought she was my friend,” Ginny finally said, her voice still stifled. Draco eased up on her a little, but still kept his arms around her. It was comforting to Ginny, Draco was strong, and he held her like he could protect her from anything in the world.
“No. She’s nothing,” Draco told her again. Ginny couldn’t help but smile.
“Thank you,” she said softly. Draco nodded at her. She snuggled her head back onto his shoulder and closed her eyes. Draco looked at Ginny longingly. He didn’t say anything, only breathed, watching her head move up and down on his chest. He hated to admit it, but there was just something about Ginny that attracted him to her. Perhaps it was that even underneath all the bitterness she harnessed, she was still good at heart… or maybe it was just the way she expressed that sourness. Or maybe it was just that she was absolutely gorgeous… how could he have not ever seen that before?? It was so… evident now.
Draco then thought about his family. They couldn’t really care… Ginny Weasley was from a very pureblooded family after all, even if they were ‘blood traitors’. And with Lucius in Azkaban… well, Narcissa wouldn’t mind much. Draco held Ginny closely. What’d he care about family and bloodlines anymore, anyways? Absolutely nothing. He wasn’t the bad boy anymore, he wished he could shed the name of ‘Malfoy’ but he very well knew he couldn’t. He would stay a Malfoy by last name, but at heart, he wasn’t. Draco didn’t know what he was, but he wasn’t a Malfoy.

Of course Harry's going to come into the picture! How could he not? :evil grin:
And the next chapter...
---
:What would her mother say?:
Ginny was, to say the very least, confused. She loved Harry, but she found herself having to remind herself of this more and more often. Harry wasn’t there when she cried, Harry wasn’t there to kiss her good-night, or to help her with her homework. He wasn’t there when she just needed a hug. He wasn’t ever there, but that wasn’t his fault. He was out saving the world… muggle and wizarding from the worst Dark Wizard in history. That was something, wasn’t it? Ginny stayed in her dormitory that Saturday and cried. Of course it was something that he was saving the world, and even though she knew it was selfish… she wanted more. She wanted a boyfriend to be there. Sure, Harry was noble, but he wasn’t THERE. Oh, it was so confusing.
Not that it really mattered much anyways. Draco didn’t like her as any more then a friend. Plus, what would her mother say? Ginny Weasley dating a MALFOY?! Oh, she’d never hear the end of it. If not from her mom, her father or brothers would complain… especially Ron. And Harry, what would it do to Harry? Hermione would never approve either, but what did Ginny care if they approved? Who she dated was her business… and if she had any shot with him… Ginny would allow herself to like Draco as more then just the friends they admitted to being.
Ginny and Draco had no idea that they were the sole basis of each others’ thoughts for the next three weeks. Now it was mid-December. The pair continued to see each other twice every day, in Potions and at dinner. Draco couldn’t get enough of her, he wanted to see her more.
“Hey, how about we start eating lunch together?” Draco asked her. This completely shocked Ginny, but in a good way.
“Sure,” she said happily. It wasn’t like she talked to anyone else anyway. It was almost Christmas and everyone was getting into the spirit, especially the Gryffindors. The common room was already decked out in it’s green and (mostly) red splendor. It was almost Christmas break. Ginny was trading between plans… to stay at Hogwarts, bored to death, or to go home to the burrow, bored to death. Not much of an option. Draco, of course, would be going back to Malfoy Manor. That would leave Ginny alone for the holidays. Home wouldn’t be much better though, but maybe if she went home she’d be allowed to visit Fred and George. As she was debating on what to do, she heard a tap on the window and saw Simone scratching at the window. The last time this happened… Ginny jumped up and scrambled to open the window.
“Pig!” A letter from Harry! The little bird fluttered around the room. Ginny swore it was like a rabbit on crack. Finally, Pig settled down, Ginny laughed at him. She untied the letter and sat on her bed. Simone came over to her and sat on her lap while she read.
Oh, Gin… this trip is unbearable without you. The only thing is that I’m comforted by knowing that you’re safe. Who’s the new friend? Nevermind, you don’t have to tell me, if you don’t want to. Our search is going well, but I can’t say to much about it. I miss you more then anything else. Of course … I have Ron and Hermione, but upon finding out that they’re dating, they’ve mostly taken to snogging in their spare time. I s’pose that’s to be expected though. Anyways, how’s Hagrid and the other professors? Expect they miss Hermione most of all… haha. I hate making you wait for me, but I do love knowing that you’ll be there when I come back. Sorry so short, but Hermione’s yelling. I love you, Harry
Ginny sighed. She needed to write back, but didn’t know what to say. She took the letter to Draco.
“Lucky,” Draco muttered.
“What?” Ginny asked.
“That he didn’t ask you about your ‘friend’ or you know I would have insisted you tell him,” he said calmly.
“When did you turn so honest?” Ginny asked him jokingly. Draco smirked at her, handing Ginny a piece of parchment and a quill.
“Write,” he told her, “don’t keep Potter waiting.” Ginny nodded in agreement.
“What should I say, though?” Draco shrugged.
“Tell him about classes,” he suggested. Ginny thought that was a good start.
Harry, I miss you too, of course. Sorry about Ron and Hermione, but you knew that would happen sooner or later. She couldn’t help but think bitterly that at least they had their lovers. I’m glad your quest is going well, the sooner it’s over with the sooner you’ll be back. The battle will all be over soon, I’m sure of it. The cities are already starting to prepare. We all have faith in you, Harry. In case I don’t hear from you, have a Happy Christmas. I’ve enclosed a small gift… it’s a very thin necklace. I know you’re not much into jewlery… but I thought you’d like it… it has a snitch on it. Enjoy. xoxo <3s Ginny
Well… she almost meant every word. After enclosing the small necklace with the letter in an envelope, she tied it to Pig’s leg. She kissed the top of his feathery head and whispered in the little hole that was his ear.
“Bring this to Harry Potter, and have a safe trip.” After that, he was off.

:Mm, hold on to me:
Two days before Christmas. Ginny still had no idea what she was doing. Mrs. Weasley begged for a decisive letter, so she could see another child if Ginny wasn’t going to come. Ginny decided just to let her parents go. They’d go see Bill, or Charlie, or just visit the twins. She’d just… stay at Hogwarts. It was dinner time, time to talk to Draco about the day’s daily horrors. She sat on the couch of the Room of Requirement. It wasn’t often that HE was late, normally Ginny was later (though they stopped worrying about the five minutes between leaving ages ago). Draco came in, without food, breathlessly.
“What’s wrong?” Ginny asked. Normall, Draco wasn’t hassled. Being a seventh year… and a convicted as a felon, she could see exactly why.
“You’re staying here for Christmas, right?” he asked, still out of breath. She nodded.
“How about- would you like to-?”
“Yes?” she asked him, not quite understanding.
“I had a thought… Would you like to come to Malfoy Manor for the holidays with me? It won’t be my family… my mother will be, er, visiting my father the whole week… but I’m still going home,” he finally spluttered. Ginny was speechless. After a few minutes, Draco had finally built up enough anxiety to last the rest of the year.
“Well…?” he asked. Ginny hadn’t even realized she hadn’t answered. She blushed a little, but smiled.
“I’d love to,” she finally answered. Draco broke out into a grin.
“I’m glad,” he said, with a sigh of relief.
---
The students got off school a day before Christmas. Ginny had finished packing her trunk, and she wheeled it down to the Great Hall, where she was meeting Draco. Lucky for them, Draco already had an apparation liscense. Even luckier for Draco was that after his crime he was still allowed to use it, being under age and all. Though, now he was of age, and able to use the liscense freely. Worked out perfectly. Draco offered to take Ginny’s bag, but she declined. He was taking her to his house, she could take her own bag. They walked outside the Hogwarts gates (since of course, they couldn’t apparate inside them) and traveled to Hogsmeade with the rest of the students going on the train. Once out of the remains of the magic barriers at Hogwarts, Draco turned to Ginny.
“Mm, hold on to me.” He said, rather quietly. Ginny smirked. She took his hand willingly, and held her suitcase in the other. There was an uncomfortable squeezing feeling and a pop. In a flash, the sensation was over and there was another pop.
Draco whispered softly in her ear, “Welcome to Malfoy Manor.”

:I do generally dress for dinner:
“Oh, my, god it’s gorgeous!” Ginny almost screamed. On top of it being gorgeous, it was HUGE! They were only in the entrance hall which seemed as big as at least the Burrow, if not bigger. It was silver stone and there were huge stone steps that branched out in two ways. Under the stairs there were three ways to go. To the left, the right, and straight under.
“To the left is the kitchens and servants quarters, the right is the living room, parlour, drawing room of sorts, and straight ahead is the dining room. I’ll show you the upstairs?” Draco suggested. Ginny nodded, unable to speak. Draco led Ginny up the stairs. To the left was a wing that held Draco’s parents room and a bathroom. Straight across from the stairs was Draco’s room and bathroom, and then to the left was the guest suit which was not only a bedroom and bathroom, but also a kitchen and living room! Draco also had a small sort of sitting room, but it was nothing compared to the guest suite. That was absolutely gorgeous. There were more rooms, Ginny was sure, considering how far back the house went, but Ginny wasn’t sure what was in all of the rooms or even how many rooms there were.
“It’s lovely,” Ginny said, barely able to breathe. Draco smiled, putting his hand on Ginny’s shoulder.
“Glad you think so.”
“You don’t think so?” Ginny asked. Draco shrugged.
“I’m used to it.” He told her. Ginny nodded.
“I think it’s gorgeous,” she told him.
I think you’re gorgeous. Draco thought it, but didn’t say it allowed. He couldn’t. Instead he watched as Ginny bounced on the bed.
“Um, maybe you should rest a while. I’ll go… er, to my own room and rest as well. If you need me… you know where it is,” he told her nervously. Draco didn’t want Ginny to think he was going to leave her, but he was tired and he was sure she was too.
“Alright,” Ginny said perfectly happily. Draco smiled. He began walking out, but turned his head back around, leaning on the doorpost.
“Oh, yes, and dinner at seven. We dress for dinner,”
Ginny grinned, “I do generally dress for dinner.” Draco rolled his eyes.
Fancy!” he explained slightly exhasperated, leaving the room. Ginny rolled her eyes back. Duh. Ginny thought she’d get some sleep, then go down to dinner. She did have a nice dress… she’d just have to summon it from Hogwarts. Of course, she only had one nice dress though… how would she go the whole week? Draco knew she wasn’t rich… she’d tell him. She’d have to.
Ginny didn’t know when she fell asleep, but she certainly knew she woke up with only ten minutes to seven. Oh god, oh god, oh god!
Accio dress!” she said. As she waited for the dress to come flying into the room, she brushed her hair. Malfoy Mansion was not all that close to Hogwarts. Finally the dress showed up banging at the window. Ginny rushed to open the window and the dress landed right in her arms.
It was a pretty dress. Or at least, Ginny thought it was. It was slinky and black, square cut in the front and low cut in the back. The black velvet fell to her ankles where her plain black school shoes lay. She hadn’t enough money toget the dress AND the shoes… but her school shoes were nice, they were meant to be worn with a skirt after all. Plus, Ginny wanted to buy new shoes at the end of the year… and a new dress. It’d be a lot of money, she wouldn’t buy anything else until then. She needed a new dress and shoes for the end of the year dance. There was a knock on her door.
“Er, Ginny? It’s seven… dinner time,” Draco told her. Ginny looked at a clock in the room. Seven on the dot, geez, he was prompt. Ginny smiled though, and opened the door. Draco was leaning on the wall, and Ginny was sure if it wasn’t there he would have fallen over backwards.
“You look… really nice,” he managed to say. Ginny blushed a little.
“Thanks,” she said. Draco held out his arm for Ginny, who took it, and they went down to the dinner table. The dining room was extravagent. There was a huge dinner table with a tablecloth, plates and bowls and silverwear and glasses and even about half a dozen sets of lit candles.
“Draco?” Ginny asked as food was beginning to be served by several servants dressed in black.
“Yes?” he asked, alrighty about to dig into his dinner.
“Why did you invite me here?” she asked, Draco’s fork was poised in midair as he looked up at her.

:Well, I’ve solved it… Malfoy’s a boxer guy:
“Er…” Draco didn’t even know. It was a spur-of-the-moment, spontanious thing. He wasn’t sure why did it. Ginny knew there had to be a reason.
“I dunno…” he finally said.
“Well, there was obviously a reason, or you wouldn’t have invited me,” she pressed him. Draco shrugged.
“We’re friends and you had no where else to go,” he told her.
“But you didn’t have to invite me here.” she replied. He only shrugged again.
“I dunno,” he mumbled again, starting in on his food. The question was dissmissed, there would be no more answer. After dinner Ginny went back up to the room she was staying in. It was starting to worry her. It was almost Christmas, and of course, she’d have to give Draco a present. She would have wanted to anyway, but now she really had to, but Ginny had no money, and she couldn’t ask her mother. She could as Fred and George to send her something for a friend, but then she’d have to deal with their nosiness…
Then again… she already HAD something from Fred and George. Quality items…
Accio Invisopowder! Accio Uninvisopowder! Accio Care Powder!” she said, remembering the packets of powders her brothers had given her. The black, purple, and blue packets would come zipping to her window. It was the perfect present. Draco had always been the bad boy, to go around unseen would probably be one of his dreams. He’d love it, Ginny was sure of it. Sure enough, tap tap tap. On her window. Ginny rushed over to the window. She felt a little bad now.
She hadn’t taken Simone with her, leaving the cat with Hagrid while she was at Draco’s, but she missed the scratching whenever she summoned things or got letters… though she got no letters at Malfoy Mansion- no one expected her there.
Well, she didn’t have time to be sad, it was only two days until Christmas and Ginny had to find wrapping paper for her gifts. The house was huge, it’d be impossible to find! It was getting late now, it was eleven. Ginny decided she’d go say goodnight to Draco.
She walked over to Draco’s room, which took her a good five… seven minutes. Geez, she was almost tired by the time she got there. Ginny thought to just walk in, but remembered this wasn’t her house (a quick look at anything reminded her easily) so she knocked.
“Mmm?” Came a muffled sound from Draco room. Tentatively and afraid of what she was about to see, Ginny opened the door.
“Ginny!” Draco exclaimed, pulling some blanket close to him, and over something else. Ginny was beet red, she was sure. That was how embarrassed she was. She hadn’t meant to walk in on him, but he did, er, sort of say she could come in. Ginny couldn’t help but stare at Draco though.
He was shirtless and in black and silver checkered boxers. She was sure that wasn’t what he wore at Hogwarts, but he was obviously more comfortable in his own home. Wow… he was hot. How had she never noticed his strong body and amazing abs? Yeah, even Ginny couldn’t deny it, Draco Malfoy was gorgeous.
This is embarassing, thought Draco, and it was
Well, I’ve solved it… Malfoy’s a boxer guy. Ginny grinned at her thoughts.
“What’re you smiling at?” he asked her, not in the rude, snobby way he might have a year ago, but in a truly curious way.
“Nothing,” Ginny mumbled. Draco looked at her suspiciously.
“I, er, just wanted to say goodnight.” Ginny finally said after standing in silence for a while.
“Oh, uh, goodnight,” Draco replied. Ginny smiled a little and left the room. As she walked back to her own room she couldn’t help but think about how absolutely amazing Draco looked. How could she miss it? She smiled at herself as she laid comfortably on the bed, heavy blankets hugging every inch of her body.

: Draco’s guest:
What a weird feeling, not knowing you’ve fallen asleep… then waking up. That was exactly how Ginny felt, waking up in the guest room of the Malfoy Mansion. She could have screamed. She absolutely forgot how she got there, then all of a sudden she remember. She was a guest there, Draco’s guest.
The thought just made her whole body tingle. She got out of the bed, white silk close on her body. Long pants that reached over her bare feet and a long sleeved top that had several undone buttons, revealing a nice white cami underneath. Picking up a brush she had brought, Ginny brushed her auburn hair straight. With a yawn she went to picking out clothes, but before she even opened the dresser there was a knock on her door. Quickly checking herself over in the mirror, Ginny called out,
“Come in!” Draco opened the door. He didn’t seem to mind being seen in pajamas as well (as long as it wasn’t boxers) now he wore black silk pajama pants that fell straight to the floor over his feet. He still wore no shirt and Ginny found him so attractive.
Geez, she looked great. Even just waking up. What had he come in here to say again? It was something about… oh what was the question again? Oh yeah.
“Breakfast,” he mumbled. How was it that she could make him stutter, or just forget whatever he had to say? Without saying a word she could do it to him.
“Alright, should I change?” Ginny asked.
“Umm… I’m probably gonna go down now, if you’d like to join me,” he offered. Please say yes, he silently begged.
“Of course,” she said confidently. Draco’s ego returned to him, Of course she’d come, she came with me to my house after all. The thought almost made him stop walking though. She’s at his house. How could he entertain the girl for a week? Sure… he knew plenty of ways to entertain girls, but Ginny was… different.
The dining room was still gorgeous in the morning as the pair were served bacon, eggs, scones, muffins in all different sorts, pancakes, toast, porrige… and anything else Ginny could imagine. In the week she’d be at Draco’s she’d see more food than she ever did in her life.
“What do you do with all the food you don’t eat?” she asked. Draco shrugged, he had never thought much about it. It seemed like such a waste to Ginny, though, who often had very little to eat.
“You should give it to poorer families,” Ginny suggested. Draco only shrugged again.
“Really,” she pressed him, “so many people are starving, and you just throw out food.”
“I never said we throw it out.”
“What do you think is done with it?” she asked. Draco shrugged yet again.
“It’s thrown out. And you know bloody well families like mine need it!” That hit home with Draco. He cared about Ginny now, which meant he had to care about all the Weasley’s. He hadn’t noticed, but he had stopped eating, and moving. The boy was barely breathing. Almost ten minutes later Ginny finally had the common sense to say,
“Draco?”
“Hm?” He asked, looking up from whatever he had been looking at.
“I’ll make sure the food is given to the poor.” He told her. Ginny smiled smugly. That’s right he would.
“Hey, Weaslette, you wanna go ice skating?”

:You look cute:
The name had mostly become a pet name now, something joked about instead of insulting. Draco had never been ice skating before, but he had heard it was something fun to do. So after the two got dressed in jeans and some warm sweaters, Draco apparated them to the muggle world. The only times he had been here before was in Kings Cross Station, however, the ice skating rink was completely different.
It was gorgeous, a rink the size of a small pond completely frozen over and mountains in the distance. Draco stared in amazement. Ginny didn’t come often, but she had been to the muggle world, and had even been ice skating before, so she enjoyed Draco’s reaction.
“Beautiful, isn’t it?” she whispered in his ear.
“Mmm,” he murmured in agreement.
“Let’s get skates,” she told him. Draco agreed. They went over to a little hut where a teenage girl was sitting, boredly reading a magazine. Her interest peaked, though, when she saw Draco.
“Hell-o,” she purred. Ginny wanted to puke.
“Two pairs of skates please,” he told her, she was gladly about to get them, before she realized she hadn’t taken their sizes.
“Uh… fourteen,” he told her.
“Five,” Ginny added.
“Twenty euros, together,” she told them, before going off to get the skates. Ginny almost entirely forgot paying. This wasn’t good… she didn’t have money to spare at all, even if she had brought any. She froze.
“Don’t worry, I got it. And yes, I do own some euros.” He added, laughing a little, already knowing what she was about to say. Ginny smiled.
“Thank you,” she said. Of course she felt bad, using his money, she always felt bad… but he had offered so kindly. It almost made it like a date. No, no… no, it wasn’t a date. Ginny took her shoes from the salesgirl and sat on a bench to put them on. Tying them up, she found Draco’s shoes not even on.
“Do you need help?” Ginny asked, giggling a little. Well, Draco was arrogant.
“Of course not…” he said. She watched him for another ten minutes, trying to figure out how to put the skate on, and without magic. Unsuccessfully, she might add. Ginny rolled her eyes and bent down, taking off the shoe he was already wearing. She held out her hand, and he handed her the skate. She put it on his foot and laced it up. She then put on his other shoe.
“Awww, come on Draco.” He hated being treated like a child. She offered her hand and he reluctantly took it. Draco could barely stand on the skates as they walked to the ice. He took one step on and nearly slipped and fell. Ginny caught him at the last second though.
“Thanks,” he said brusquely. Ginny laughed at him. She knew how to skate pretty well. She turned herself backwards once Draco was steady.
“How’d you do tha-?”
“Practice,” she told him, smiling. Then she held out her hands.
“Hands,” she demanded, and he gladly gave them to her. Ginny held onto his hands tightly and started swiveling backwards as Draco was pulled forward. It was scary for him, but he was having fun. After the pair had fallen several times and their bums hurt like crazy, they decided to get some hot chocolate, then leave. After laughing over hot chocolate, he apparated them out of there, of course not leaving their shoes behind.
“That was fun,” she said softly. He nodded in agreement as they sat on the couch by the fire. Ginny’s cheeks and nose were still bright red and Draco’s pale skin was colored crimson.
“You look cute,” he told her. Ginny wrinkled her red nose.
“So do you,” she told him.

Why, thank you, I do love to out do myself. Speaking of the future of this fanfic (don't worry, this is not the last chapter!) in fact, just the opposite, I realize I still have a ton to post and even more to continue writing. I hope none of you'all lose interest, it's long!

:Go with the feeling:
It was two days before Christmas, and Draco thought he might as well tell Ginny. They were eating dinner, and for the fourth day in a row, Ginny was wearing her same dress to the table. Draco didn’t seem to mind.
“Good news,” he told her.
“What?” she asked.
“We’re going shopping tomorrow. Well, I assume that’s good news for you anyways,” he told her.
“Draco… I have no money,” she reminded him sadly.
“My treat, we’re buying you a new dress.” He told her.
“I thought you said you were fine with me only having the one?” she asked, slightly hurt.
“I am, but we’re buying you two. Special occasions,” he told her.
“What occasions?” she asked suspicously.
“Well, one is a treat for the end-of-year ball, it’s a ways away from now, but I assume you’ll need a new dress, and I’d love to buy it for you,” Ginny blushed as he spoke, feeling poor, “and the other for the Christmas party that mum’ll be home for.”
“Your mum is going to be home?!” Ginny almost screamed, forgetting her embarassment about not being able to afford the dresses.
“Yeah, we have a Christmas party every year,” he said.
“And you couldn’t tell me this before?!” she asked, near hysterics.
“I thought you’d be mad?” he offered.
“You think?!” Ginny asked. Draco smiled weakly.
“We’ll buy you a new dress, you’ll look lovely, I promise, she’ll love you,” he said, kissing to top of her head as he got up from the table. It was a little awkward when she looked up at him and he blushed a little. Ginny quickly went up to the room she had been issued four days ago. She changed into pajamas and went to go say good-night to Draco, a new custom of theirs (he learned quickly to put on pajama pants before she came in). She knocked on the door.
“Come in,” he told her.
“Hey,” she said, sitting on the edge of his bed.
“Hey,” he said.
“Just came to say goodnight,” she announced. Draco looked at her, Ginny thought it was a funny look.
“What?” she asked. He only continued to look at her as he went and sat next to her on the bed.
“What?” she asked again, him still looking at her. Draco put his hand on her cheek and leaned in slowly. Very, very slowly. She had plenty of time to turn away, but for some reason… she didn’t. She let him press his lips against hers. It was so weird, but so nice. Draco pulled away.
“I’m sorry,” he told her.
“It’s alright…” she said, softly. They didn’t know what to do, so they just avoided it altogether.
“’night…” she said, hugging him, and leaving.
Ginny was queasy, but it wasn’t necessarily a bad feeling. She was a little sick and her stomach flipped, but she was happy. She was happy he kissed her.
It was just as good as Harry’s kiss, maybe even better. She wasn’t exactly sure how she felt. On the one hand, she entirely loved Harry and how could she even be thinking of Draco? But on the other hand, Draco was here for her now, he saw her every day and dealt with her problems. He was there for her. She felt something different towards Draco, something she didn’t know. She had never felt it before. Ginny figured she might as well just… go with the feeling until she knew. Maybe she did like Draco after all. Well, she’d still be at his house for another three days, they’d be spending plenty of time together, Ginny could figure it out then. Tomorrow they’d shop, day after they’d party, then they’d chill around the house. She’d think about him.
Ginny got into the bed she had quickly gotten used to. She could get used to the comfortable beds in his house. They were soft, and comfortable, and… she was already asleep.
