Banner made by: Jor (at the BK Lounge). Story: So, Hermione has been with Harry for a bit, but he’s a bit controlling...
Scratch that, he’s a control freak.
Hermione puts up with his controlling ways, of him telling her what they’re doing, where to go, etc. Then out of nowhere, a girl switches into their classes and Harry seems to start to grow a crush on this girl. Hermione is jealous and angry, so she decides to use Draco (his idea actually) to get back at Harry and make him jealous.
Will Harry come to terms with how he acts? Will he win Hermione back? Will Hermione really fall in love with Draco despite her promise to herself? Or will everything go down the tubes for Hermione because she realizes Harry isn’t truly worth it...?
Song: Everything I’m Not by The Veronicas.
NOTE: Harry isn’t seen much as a control freak in the beginning, but it’s more because of what comes up later... that and there isn't all that much yet, but it'll get a better.
And this is my first full Sa16+ F.F (I’ve done one-shots, that’s it).

Chapter 1
Nearly Late...
“Don’t forget Crookshanks, Hermione!” Jane, Hermione’s mom called after her daughter with the tabby in her hands.
“Thanks,” Hermione said as she took Crookshanks from her mother’s arms.
She quickly said goodbye again and jumped onto the train with two minutes before the doors were planned to close. It was the first time she was this late for the Hogwarts Express. In her mind, it was the first (legitimate) black mark on her previous 6 years at Hogwarts, and she hadn’t even gotten there yet!
Hermione walked down the open expanse, looking into each compartment to find Harry and Ron. Over the summer, she had been the one Harry went to when Ginny refused to take him back once he was able to. Because of it, their friendship had grown until Harry brought it to the next level. Since then, they have been together.
Throughout the summer though, Hermione noticed Harry had changed when around her though. He started telling her what she shouldn’t do, when to wake up, even what to eat. She was surprised, but didn’t say anything, she only assumed he cared enough to tell her these things.
Looking into the next compartment, Hermione saw a messy head of black hair in the window. She smiled and opened the compartment door and let Crookshanks go. He jumped out of her arms and jumped onto the seats and rubbed against Harry. Harry scratched behind Crookshank’s ears and let him prowl away.
“Hey, Mione,” he said when a warm smile upon seeing her lugging her things inside the compartment. She threw her things inside wordlessly and then sat next to Harry.
“Hello,” she said just before Harry kissed her. “How was the remainder of the summer for you?”
“Boring... I wish you stayed at the Headquarters, it was more enjoyable when you were around.”
“I had to see my parents at least once this summer, Harry,” Hermione responded pointedly. “Besides, it’s not like I’d miss out on tanning on the beaches of California to stay in a grimy house.”
“So that’s where this beautiful glow came from,” Harry said as he stroked Hermione’s cheek. A slow smile started to form on Hermione’s face, but quickly dropped when he said, “I still don’t see why it had to be a whole month though.”
“They’re my family, Harry,” Hermione replied defensively.
“Uh... good mornin’...?”
Hermione pulled away from Harry and looked over her shoulder. A pallid, half-asleep Ron stood at the compartment doors, watching curiously.
“Have a good sleep, Ron?” Hermione asked with a smirk as he attempted to pull his things inside.
“Yeah, like always,” he responded sarcastically as he threw his remaining smaller trunks onto the shelves. He sat across from Harry and Hermione.
“How’d you muster the strength to get out of bed if you’re that tired walking?” Harry joked.
“I don’t even want to think about that... anyways, how’re you two? Still at each other?”
“What?”
“How’re you two doing?” Ron rephrased quickly, smiling brightly.
“Good. Mione nearly missed the train though,” Harry said simply.
“I’m sorry if Crookshanks wasn’t where he was before,” Hermione snapped.
“I told you to get ready early in case something like that happened,” Harry pointed out with a hard edge.
“Funny, coming from you...”
“Guys, can’t you two ever have a conversation without arguing?” Ron cut in.
Harry and Hermione looked at Ron, shocked. Crookshanks went up to Ron and welcome him to the room.
“What...?”
“Out of all the people, that’s all,” Harry said as he got up. He reached up and started to pull down his trunk from the shelves that hung above the seats.
“People can change,” Ron responded defensively.
“That’s been dually noted,” Hermione said. “So how was your remaining summer for you?”
“It went well, I finally got to sleep in a bit for the last few days at least, but mum actually surprised us all when we went to Diagon Alley...”
“What’d she do?” Hermione asked eagerly.
“She bought a cat,” Harry concluded as he dropped his trunk onto the floor.
“I was telling the story,” Ron mumbled.
“It’s ok, Ron. So what kind of cat? What colour? Like Crookshanks or totally different?” Hermione was about to ask more questions, but was cut off by the sound of the horn. She looked out the window and saw the greenery passing by.
“I don’t know any breeds, but this cat was black with silver underneath it, so you can’t say she’s a cat for bad luck. We all named her Onyx because of her colour.”
“Aw, she sounds cute. How old she is?”
“About two months now. Ginny’s got her in the next compartment over with Neville and Loony... Luna,” Ron said quickly as he saw Hermione’s expression.
“So when you feel like it, you should go and check.”
“Yeah, it’s been a few hours since I’ve seen that overly-social thing, I could go with you, Hermione,” Harry said as he pulled out a chocolate frog.
“I’m fine, Harry, I can go by myself,” Hermione responded simply.
“But...”
“I can survive by myself for a few minutes or hours, thank you very much Mr. No-One-Can-Come-On-My-Horcrux-Hunt!” Hermione snapped, unable to take Harry’s attitude. She stood up and left the compartment, slamming the door.
“What’s eating her?” Harry asked as he handed Ron a licorice snap.

Snogging and Revenge
Hermione walked through the portrait hole and saw a fairly empty common room. She was surprised; usually half the Gryffindor students were busy doing their homework at such an hour of the day. As she stepped further into the common room, she saw two people in the same couch; they were snogging. She glanced at them and realized who it was - Harry and Jaimie.
No wonder no one’s in here!
She hid her anger and passed through the common room as if she had seen or heard nothing, and went up the stairs quickly. She stormed into Ginny’s room, saw Ginny alone, and yelled, “I HATE HIM!”
Ginny screamed and fell out of her bed, landing on the stone floor with a hard thud.
“Good evening to you too,” Ginny said through gritted teeth as she stood up slowly. She stretched and then said, “I gather you realize why everyone is doing their homework in their dormitories or in the library.”
“OBVIOUSLY!”
“Stop yelling!” Ginny snapped. “Now come here and sit down.”
Hermione, still fuming, walked over to Ginny’s bed and sat down. Ginny stood in front of her and crouched down slightly.
“Hermione,” Ginny said calmly, eye-level to her friend. “What you’re doing is getting Harry angry and jealous. Have you ever considered he’s trying to do the same to you?!”
Hermione recoiled at the sudden tone change in Ginny.
“I don’t suck off Malfoy’s face in front of Harry!”
A moment later, Ginny and Hermione shivered simultaneously at the thought.
“With that noted, you have to get back at Harry for doing this. What can you do with Malfoy in front of him...?”
There was a tapping on the window. Ginny looked beyond Hermione and her eyes widened.
“That idiot!”
Hermione looked over her shoulder and saw Draco hovering at the window. Ginny stormed up to the window and flung it open.
“What?” she snapped.
“You stole my watch,” Draco snapped, looking at Hermione.
“Wha... oh yeah...” Hermione turned around, cheeks flushed, and she stood up. She took Draco’s watch from her pocket and walked around the bed, by which time her red cheeks had returned to normal. She handed the watch to Draco, who took it.
“Thank you,” he said with a note of sarcasm.
“Well now that you’re here...” Ginny started.
“Can I come in if you want to chat?” Draco cut in.
“Why?” Ginny asked suspiciously.
“This broom is rather unreliable when it comes to hovering... and you don’t want to rely on it when you’re a couple hundred feet above ground,” Draco responded quickly. His broom jerked beneath him, dropping two feet suddenly. “See what I mean?”
“Fine!” Ginny snapped. She stepped back and let Hermione help Draco inside. Once Draco’s broomstick was safely on Ginny’s bed and he was completely inside, Hermione shut the window.
“If anyone comes inside, hide,” Ginny said.
“What is it you want, Weaslette?”
“Weasley, just call me Weasley!”
“Fine... Weaslette,” Draco added under his breath. Ginny glared at him coldly, but didn’t comment on it.
“Ok, Harry’s starting to get the idea we’re sure...”
“Oh great,” Draco muttered.
“Proof is downstairs on the couch.”
“Frankly I don’t want to see it,” Draco cut in flatly.
“We need to find a way to get back at Harry for this, ok?” Hermione added. Draco looked at her for a moment, and then his eyes widened.
“You don’t actually mean we’d have to...”
“Oh Merlin, no!” Hermione cut in hysterically, covering her eyes and mouth. “That’s not what I meant! At least with you anyways...”
Draco glared as Hermione removed her hands from her face.
“Anyhow, do you have any ideas other than the one you seem to have had on your mind in the first place?” Hermione asked with a smirk.
Draco rolled his grey eyes, and then thought. Within moments, he started to smirk.
“What do you have in mind?” Ginny asked hopefully.
“You’ll probably hate this idea, but it’s either that or... well anyways, isn’t there a closet in the library?”
“Yeah... why?” Hermione asked slowly.
“Well, I was thinking...”
Hermione’s eyes widened as she caught on.
“NO WAY!”
“Just listen,” Draco snapped. “We’ll have Weasley, here, lure Potter within eyesight of the broom closet, and when he’s looking, she says something that we’ll know is our cue to come out...” Hermione covered her mouth with her hands, knowing what was coming. “Well... we walk out with... our hair messed up and our robes rather... askew.”
“That’s sick!” Ginny exclaimed. A greedy look overtook her brown eyes. “Sick enough to work...”
Draco smirked. He then looked at Hermione. “So?”
“What’s your other idea?”
“Not worth mentioning.”
“Is that idea of yours mellow compared to what your other idea is?”
“No,” Draco responded simply. “It’s just stupid.”
“What is it?” Hermione snarled. Draco recoiled slightly.
“You find Potter alone, flirt with him a bit and I come along and beat him up. I’m also more than willing to do that, but...”
“Yeah, not good enough,” Hermione cut in.
“So...”
Hermione sighed. “You say anything about this to anyone and I swear...”
“I won’t say a word,” Draco cut in flatly.
“Ok, so what’s our code word?” Ginny asked.
“‘Code word’?” Draco and Hermione asked simultaneously.
“What should I say that’ll be your cue to come out?” Ginny rephrased, rolling her eyes.
Hermione thought for a moment.
“What about ‘So how’s it going between you and Jaimie?’ or something?”
“Casual... not anything suspicious... it’s perfect! So tomorrow at 3pm be ready, ok?”
Hermione sighed, looked at Draco and said, “Fine.”

Ha! Thanks for the comments guys Glad you all enjoyed 'em.
Back from camp... again. I got home like... late afternoon, rented two movies (Premonition and Because I Said So. Yep, two chick flicks. Premontion = WEIRD tho!) and I returned them to get another... that my mom saw without me 
Anyways...
My school is opening earlier than I expected (but we get to start later! Yay... but I didn't get into the one option I wanted since we only get one option and the other has to be a language  So yeah...), so come September 4th there might be lesser amounts of updates.
Woah... 2 days til my brother is off to Japan!
So yeah, UPDATING!
NEXT POST! Two updates in a row... so yeah.

Ooh... there's a scene in this update I hope you all like!  (first time doing the kind of scene tho... there's another that's totally new but that's in ANOTHER update in like, the far future I think...). And it's LONG! I might update tomorrow actually... if I have time (going shopping all day). So yeah, one today, one tomorrow sometime.
Oh, and I had a ton of trouble with the end cause the word I used like... 3 times is censored on this site, so yeah, hope you catch my drift

A Change Of Plans...
At 2:45pm that next day, Draco literally had to pull Hermione into the library.
“I still can’t believe you had this in mind...”
“Now that I think about it I can say the same,” Draco responded simply as he searched out the broom closet.
Minutes later, he saw the half-opened door of the oak closet. He stopped and held out his hand in a ‘ladies first’ way. Hermione rolled her eyes and entered the closet. She moved up a few feet to let Draco enter as well. He shut the door behind him and blinked a few times. Within minutes, he could see the empty inside clearly. He then turned to Hermione.
“We have ten minutes to wait I suppose...”
“Ten minutes to get ready, right?” Hermione pointed out. She reached up and slid her fingers through Draco’s hair. She was surprised at how soft his hair felt; soft and welcoming...
Shaking off the feeling, she ruffled Draco’s hair for a few moments. She let her hands slide down the side of Draco’s face until they loosened and moved around parts of his robes.
“Perfect,” she said with a smirk.
As she was about to start to fix herself, Draco reached out and started to maneuver her hair to look like parts of it poofed out slightly. His hands, in turn, slid down Hermione’s cheeks slowly and to her collar. He pulled it up and bent it into awkward, interesting shapes. He loosened other parts of her robes for her. His hands lingered on her waist momentarily, but when Draco came back to reality, he jerked away.
“So how do I look?” Hermione whispered and stuck a model pose.
“Perfect,” Draco said with a smirk. He looked at his watch and saw they had eight minutes remaining. An awkward silence filled a gap between him and her.
Hermione sighed and quietly asked, “So how the hell did you come up with this?”
Draco shrugged. “It’s the worst thing that could happen, right?”
“Right...” Hermione responded and looked down.
There was movement in front of the closet. Out of instinct, Draco shielded Hermione, and in the process pinned her against the wall. The movement disappeared moments later.
“Draco?”
He looked down and saw Hermione pinned between him and the wall. “Uh... yeah.” He stepped back half a step. Another awkward silence filled the air.
“How much longer?” Hermione asked, breaking into Draco’s thoughts. He snapped back into reality once more and looked at his watch.
“Five minutes,” he responded.
“Only?”
“I apologize for being a bore,” Draco responded in absentminded sarcasm.
“You apologize?” Hermione asked, shocked.
Draco’s eyes widened - he has just said sorry for the first time in his life and he didn’t even realize it.
“Uh...”
“What’s up with you lately?”
Draco shrugged. He looked at his watch again - four minutes. Hermione was right, the time was dragging by.
“Ok...”
Draco looked at Hermione and zoned out. She snapped her fingers in front of his face. He blinked and realized what he was doing. “Is it the closet or something?”
“I dunno...”
“Claustrophobic?”
“What-a-phobic?”
“Afraid of closed-in spaces,” Hermione responded impatiently.
“No,” Draco scoffed.
“Never been in a closet with a girl?”
“And more specifically for this reason...”
“Want to have a better reason for being in here?”
Draco snapped his attention back to Hermione, shocked. He opened his mouth, but Hermione took advantage of it - she kissed him. Draco’s instincts took over, and he returned her kiss and pulled her closer. She fell into him and allowed him to deepen the kiss. Hermione swore he had never been so passionate when kissing, and she didn’t want it to stop.
“Hey, Harry,” Ginny said with a smile. She had finally found Harry in the library, better yet alone.
“Hi...” Harry responded in a somewhat sarcastic tone. He went back to searching for books on the shelf.
“What’re you looking for?”
“A book...”
Ginny resisted the urge to scoff and roll her eyes.
“What kind of book?”
“Something about Hate Potions - I swear, I’ll do anything to see Malfoy off of Hermione...”
“I know where you can find that,” Ginny said abruptly. Harry snapped his attention to her, an eyebrow raised.
“I don’t even want to know,” he responded flatly and went back to looking at the books.
“Seriously, I know where the section is,” Ginny said eagerly.
Harry sighed and said, “Fine. Where?”
Ginny led him from the section of the library and on a direct route towards the broom closet. The silence finally got to her, and when they finally got within fifty feet of the closet she said, “So how’s it between you and Jaimie?” She did the best she could to look at Harry and not at the closet - it hadn’t opened yet.
“Uh... good. We’re going to Hogsmeade.”
“So it sounds like things between you and Jaimie are well,” Ginny responded, emphasizing as much as she could in a subtle way.
“Oh my gosh,” Hermione whispered when she pulled away from Draco, realizing what she had done.
“What?” Draco asked softly, his hands still lying on Hermione’s waist.
“It’s Ginny... we’re off-time.”
“Yeah...” Harry’s voice flowed through the closet door.
“Well I’m happy things are going well between you and Jaimie.”
Hermione took in a breath and pushed open the closet door, giggling. She stopped a few feet in front of the closet door, aware of Ginny and Harry’s eyes on her. Moments later, Draco came out.
“We should do that more often,” he said with a smirk.
“Merlin, I know,” Hermione responded dreamily. She looked at a stunned Harry, gawking at the sight before him. “Hello,” she said. She giggled again and pulled Draco from the scene and they hid behind a shelf on the other side of the room.
“Oh my gosh...” Hermione fixed her robes quickly and then pulled out a hairbrush.
She quickly ran it through her messy, curly brown hair while Draco quickly fixed his hair with a small, yet rather expensive-looking, hair brush. Its size reminded her of the plastic brushes she had seen in her muggle elementary school that photographers for yearbooks offered them to brush their hair. Naturally they didn’t work on Hermione’s hair - her 4th grade picture showed her hair in a pyramid and at least twenty plastic brushes were stuck in her head of bushy hair.
Upon putting her brush back into her pocket, she looked up at Draco and said, “Uh... should we just forget about what happened?” She saw hurt dwell deep in Draco’s eyes, yet he nodded.
“I’ll see you tomorrow,” Draco said quietly. Before Hermione could respond, he left.
