The sealed off exit from the main platform of Alexandra Palace station doesn't boast the prestigious décor of the Department Head's Ministry office. The hideous cream and maroon tiles the line the walls are grimy and chipped in places – and that's if they haven't been plastered over in parts. There are a few spindly wooden folding chairs and a dull second hand desk at one end of the room, a small filing cabinet sits in the corner and trunk for general storage sits by the door. Unless you know the password of the hour and/or are apt in the art of defensive charms and counter-curses then access to this area of the platform is limited, that is unless you're willing to part with one of your limbs.
Department Head Emily Browne is more inclined to spend her time on the communal work floor, so unless you have an appointment, you'll be hard pressed to find her here. Though this space may be used for private meetings and small conferences in general. | |

Okay? That was all. "But now i'm an obnoxious professional." The blond grinned. See how honest he was too? He was even ready to play nice. You know not get into fights anymore with certain people.....at least not as many fights.
Emily swiveled in her seat, her hazel eyes locked on Chosen. His reflection of his time away was what she had expected ... in a nutshell. She liked nutshells, wasn't interested in long winded sob stories and woe is me. The feedback she'd received regarding his conduct was enough to please her.
"I like that you learned so much in your time away from us," yes, away from them, how sad it was too. But enough of that. "You were an obnoxious newbie," she confirmed, interjecting before he continued. His next response left her smirking. Obnoxious professional then, still a step up in the world. Good for him.
She fiddled with the hem of her sleeve for a moment, still swiveling, before she came to pause, leaning forward and resting her elbows on her desk instead. "Obviously a lot has changed in your absence, but I'm sure you won't have any difficulty settling back in. And... with any luck we'll be moving out of this hole very soon, we've just regained access to the Ministry building." By unconventional means, yes, but that didn't matter. They were in, and that was what mattered. "Of course you're welcome back to your position, though, in addition to that, I still have the position of Head Auror to fill .... just something to keep in mind." Please her, prove himself, and the position might be his. But either way ...
"Any questions?"

Head Auror. Something to keep in mind. Legend tilted his head just a bit. Did he actually want to be Head Auror? Yes and No. It was a giant responsibility but the thought alone made him excited. Pushing the thought away, Legend nodded. "I will do the absolute best that I can do." In the position he had now. Though not because he wanted to become Head Auror. Because that's what the MLE deserved, Aurors who did their best.

They were all passionate, though some were more passionate than others. "I'm confident your work ethic won't be a concern," she agreed, idly sitting back in her chair, her fingers lacing together and resting in her lap.

"I assure you, we're capable of assessing various posibilties, otherwise I imagine we would have been back in sooner." It was far from being a rushed job, and yet, it was far from being a planned one too. So much delay, but they got there in the end. There was little point in prolonging the inevitable, and they needed their building back. Normalcy couldn't have come any sooner.
"Of course... and welcome back," she nodded, rising from her seat. No hand extension this time. At the risk of him attempting to wrap his arms around her again. She wouldn't be making that mistake again.

Emily resisted, but there was little that could be done about pushing him away with her arms pinned to her side. Dammit! Chosen!!!!
Her expression was perhaps warning enough, and she hoped for his sake it was the last time he'd be attacking her with hugs... ugh... affection... ugh. Merlin. MER---LIN. She watched as the man fled from her office, content with cracking her neck and returned to her seat, contemplating drafting up a law against hugging her. Gavin would sign that, no?
