Default Welcome to the Leaky Cauldon

The Leaky Cauldron serves as the portal from the Muggle World to the Wizarding World. While muggles and muggle-born may enter through the Charring Crossroads entrance, witches and wizards may floo in through the fireplace or they might choose to apparate to the Coutyard as apparation is prohibited inside the Leaky Cauldron, due to its business. Besides being a portal, the Leaky Cauldron is also a tavern and an Inn. The price is steep, but travelers may stay in the rooms on the second and third floor of the Leaky Cauldron. If lodging is not of need, the Leaky boasts some of the best food around, with a large menu and a short-order cook on staff.

The links below will help you navigate through the Leaky Cauldron:

Bar and Service Counter
Behind the counter is one of the most approachable people in Diagon Alley. Feel free to walk up to the counter and order anything off the menu.

When ordering at the Leaky Cauldron, Braylon will fill your order quickly and charmingly. However, if you want to order food the wait may be slightly longer. So feel free to, after having placed your order, take a seat in any of the appropriate areas. Once your food is ready, it will be delivered to you.

To order at the Leaky Cauldron, come up to the station and tell Braylon what you want. He will then calculate the appropriate price. Paying is key and mandatory, plus tips are always accepted. Be mindful that certain beverages are only available to adult witches and wizards.

Pub Seating
Here at the Leaky Cauldron things can get pretty busy, and, for Braylon, this is exactly the case. For this purpose, a few changes have been made and now customers may come to the counter to place their orders, so as to keep the chaos down and keep things less hectic for the busy workers and their customers.

In the center of the room sits the baby of the Leaky Cauldron - baby grand piano that is. It is not unusual to enter the Leaky Cauldron and see costumers playing away at the piano. However, this piano is widely special, even for the Wizarding World. Years ago, Ryoma, former owner Harley's partner, built it by hand and therefore as one plays each key the ivory gives off a little puff of colored smoke that rises up into the air and form shapes that begin to tell a story to the music.

Off to the side of the room, a cozy fireplace and seating area can be found for those looking to relax a bit before heading off to the busy shops of Diagon Alley. At various times throughout the day, Braylon will drop by with a tray of assorted snacks for those sitting by the fireplace to enjoy.

Private Parlour
If you are in need of a place to hold a meeting or a conference, look no further than The Leaky Cauldron. This Private Parlour has been used in the past for meetings with the Minister of Magic. Ministry members may book this room for meetings or conferences.

Inside, the room is made of dark wood. Several small tables run down the length of the room and many cozy, rolling chairs line it. If fewer people are attending, the table can be shortened for a more personal meeting. The room is eloquent, with tapestries hanging on the wall and portraits of famous wizards and witches line the wall, willing to give their advice if you want it (or if you don't). In each corner sits a suit of armor, regal and rigid.

Unless you have reserved this room, though, you are not permitted to enter. Please direct all inquiries about the use of this room to Braylon.

Guest Rooms
Up the spiral staircase, the platform leads to a long hallway. On either side of the hall are different colored doors that each led to a guest room. The key to every guest room has a different color ribbon attached that corresponds to the color of the door. This little detail helps Braylon remember who is staying where.

Inside each room is a large and comfortable bed that seems to sink in with each guest as they lie down for a snooze. Beside the bed is an old wooden table that has a lamp for candlelight. Each lamp is special to each room. The color of the door is the color that the light illuminates the space. Once the light is lit the colors floats up to the ceiling and illuminates the room in a round ball of gas hovering above the bed. Each one of the fifteen rooms at the Leaky Cauldron is equip with a fireplace for flooing (but remember that only those with guest keys may do so), a vanity, and a dresser with several wooden hangers, and a view of the streets below, which filter in the noise from both Diagon Alley and Charing Cross Roads.

Every room is cleaned and maintained by the cleaning staff every morning after the guests have breakfast. And because Braylon lives at the Leaky Cauldron he is always available to handle any problems or complaints filed about the room or service.

Because of the limited space at the Leaky Cauldron those who wish to spend the night or any length of time must file with Braylon about staying in a guest room. Once administered a key be mindful to be respectful to your fellow witches and wizards and at all times follow the Rules of the Leaky Cauldron.

Courtyard and Brick Wall
The Leaky Cauldron sits auspiciously as part of the Muggle World, the portal to Diagon Alley. Stepping out the back door of the Leaky Cauldron, it leads to the open patio that is deceivingly large. Once inside the Courtyard the stone path circles around the green area, which is a popular place for young children to relax upon during summer holidays and is also a popular place for, people to lie out and have lunch.

On the green, a tall stone fountain sits and waits for a lucky sickle or two to find its way to the bottom of the fountain. However, the incredible thing about the fountain is the stone is rests upon. The stone floor underneath and surrounding the fountain is charmed to light up with each step a person makes on the stone floor. The color traces the outside of the traveler’s foot and each new step is a fresh new color.

Out on the green surrounding the fountain is the home to a garden of flowers that are freshly planted. Each little patch of flowers is also charmed by the former owner, Harley, to smell of a different kind of treat at the Leaky Cauldron, i.e.. Butterbeer Flowers.

Off to the side of the Courtyard, a winding stone pathway leads to a quaint little pond filled with a hundred carp fish that Ryoma, the old owner, had specially imported from Japan. This little pond is tucked in the back of the Courtyard and serves as a little treat to all who happen upon it. Next to the pond is a simple wooden box with a money hole in the top. Dispense ten sickles and the box produces fish food to feed the carp.

Braylon asks that everyone, including little witches and wizards, pick up after himself or herself.
