After the end of the Second War, life was slowly returning to normal. Most of those who'd missed a year of schooling because they were in hiding, or for other reasons, have returned to finish out their education. It finally seemed Hogwarts would have a normal year. At least, as normal as it can get.
Until the Ministry announced a new program. After the amount of deaths, population became an issue. So, each 6th and 7th year wizard is to try on a hat. This hat is much like the Sorting Hat in the fact its able to see the person's mind. But it doesn't sort you into a house - it shouts the name of the girl each of these unfortunate males would be best with. It creates a binding magical contract that can only be broken by going through a long, tedious process with the Ministry. This can take up to 2 or 3 years. Within a year, the pairs must marry. Along with this, the hat has its own special magic it casts on each of these people. It starts feelings for the other person stronger than just a friendship. Overtime, it unnoticebly fades, making any feelings for the other person real. Though no one is aware of this magic at all.
Consequences for not following the Marriage Law are quite severe. They include loss of your wand and a life sentence in Azkaban. So, who will try and make these odd pairings work? And who will downright refuse?
RULES

Name: Adriane Malfoy Age: 16 // 6th Year Gender: Female Birthday: June 23rd House: Slytherin - Chaser on Quidditch Team Paired with: Harry Potter
History: Adriane Malfoy, as to be expected of a Malfoy, is spoiled rotten. She's grown up with her older brother, Draco, just as any other child in a high-class, pureblood family. She was brought up to believe she was far above anyone else and no one was worth her time. She was taught in deciet, giving her the power to wrap authority figures around her finger and thus making it to where she could simply do whatever the heck she wanted. However, she discovered her parents "dark activities" a bit sooner than her brother did, and took an unnatural liking to them. By the time she was watching her brother leave for his first year at Hogwarts, she'd already read as much as she could on Voldemort and other Dark Wizards in the past. Though it wasn't until right at the end of her fourth year did she truely act upon her fascination.
Her fourth year at Hogwarts was the year her father had been discovered and sent off to Azkaban. She hadn't known but about the entire situation, but knew enough to be convinced it was Harry Potter to get him sent off. It was then she developed a bit of a hatred for the boy, though she'd barely known him beforehand. Just beore her fifth year started, her and her brother joined the ranks of the Death Eaters. She was well aware of how shocked and fearful her mother was, and how much Draco despised it. But Adriane embraced it. During her fifth year, she had become one of Voldemort's most valuable spies within the castle. Long before the time of the Final Battle, the 15 year old had wormed her way up to the point she was equal in rank - if not higher - than Bellatrix Lestrange herself. After the battle, less faithful followers Mark's had faded...yet Adriane still wears hers and isn't afraid to remind others.
Personality: Just as she was raised, Adriane acts like most other high-class purebloods. She believes she's far above anyone else, and will not hesitate to put others in their place. Though her sarcastic, snide comments are not only saved for the Mudbloods and blood traitors. They will even sometimes extend further, to pureblood Slytherins like herself. Even those with good names, she believes, are lower than the Malfoys. Unlike her brother, she will not stand to be around any "bumbling idiots", as she'd always dubbed Draco's two cronies. She also has a great sense of family pride. She is highly aware that all the money and power she has comes from her family name, and does nothing if there is the slightest possibility it will bring down her family's standing even a little. She knows some of her classmates are aware of the Mark she keeps hidden underneath her sleeves, and will readily use it as a threat if the situation calls for it.
Around authority figures, this changes. She is able to make herself into a kind, sweet person. Teachers in the school think they are aware of some of what goes on when Adriane is talking to other students, though they don't really have any clue to the extent it goes to. Anyone at all, she is practised enough to decieve them and bend them to her will, without them noticing. She's able to watch a person, and tends to note small facial changes that help clue her into what the other person is thinking. Anything discovered generally goes to decieving this person or blackmailing them for some purpose, however. Adriane is also a bit...flirtatious. Though many other girls have their skirts higher than they should be, hers tend to be just a bit shorter. She feeds off male attention, though stays classy when trying to get it. She refuses to avert to any behaviours that might mark her with any bad names other girls might think up.

Name: Irial Hayes Age: 16 // 6th Year Gender: Male Birthday: August 12th House: Ravenclaw Paired With: Ginny Weasley
Hair Color: Dark Brown Eyes: Gray Height: 6'0
History: Irial led a very priviledged life, as an only child to a quite rich family. Though with the War, he never truely picked sides. His whole family agreed some with getting rid of the Muggle borns, though never acted upon these thoughts. He was taught the same things as many purebloods are - that he was above anyone else, and anyone who is not pure of blood is to not be considered. When he started Hogwarts, he was immediately Sorted into Ravenclaw. This came as a slight shock, as the rest of the family had been in Slytherin, though it caused no uproar as it might've if he'd been sorted into Gryffindor or Hufflepuff. If not Slytherin, Ravenclaw was a suitable alternative to the family. Throughout the years, Irial didn't get much involved with what was happening against Voldemort. He was one of the ones who simply ignored the situation, and didn't really give a flip what happened. Until his fifth year, when him and a certain Malfoy girl started hanging out. It was near the beginning of the year the two become a bit more than just friends. It wasn't a secret; they just didn't go out of their way to tell anyone. But his relationship with her got him involuntarily into quite a bit of it. Often he was helping her with something related to whatever Voldemort had her doing. Aside from this, he did his best to stay out of it.
Personality: Irial is a very cocky, arrogant person. He doesn't put down people he believes are below him; no, he simply ignores them. He believes they aren't worth his time, and isn't willing to put in the effort to make them either start crying or get angry. He's a bit on the silent side when in public, though isn't shy to speak at all. He has some strong opinions on things, and will debate them if someone goes against him. He believe's he's always right, and if need be will do the typical Ravenclaw thing to prove his point: pull out a book. He does take his studies very seriously, and has managed to become the top student in 6th year.
Irial happens to also be abit of a flirt. He can't help but wink at a few girls that he's usually convinced himself are in love with him. Though generally none of them are. It goes back to his arrogant side, thinking every girl is in love with him and that he's just the best looking person to walk the face of the Earth. Though he never goes further than harmless flirting with other girls.
Aleksa laughed at Theo's suggestion. "I don't know how I'm going to get down but I know that get down we must. Eventually anyway. How else would we get food? Or fresh cloths?" She knew he was only jesting but she couldn't help but poke fun. She was loving every minute of there time together, her attachment to him growing by the minute.
Taking on their earlier topic her face grew serious. "I write to him tonight and tell him what's going on. He'll probably go to the Ministry himself to get the details and read the fine print. He doesn't like playing by other peoples rules." She smiled a little as she thought about it. Her father didn't like living on another's terms. He hated following other recipes, preferring to experiment until he found a concoction of his own that he deemed better. He would hate finding out that his daughter was now caged in by the Ministry's decree, at least that's how he would see it.
Draco gave a hearty laugh his smug smile growing even more self assured. If that was even possible. Once his laughter died down he looked over at Agyness, her blue eyes practically sparking with her ire. She was mighty attractive when she was wound up. "Well then, that wasn't so hard was it? Proving that there is more between us then even you are willing to admit."
She was trying to play it cool under fire but sooner or later she would have to succumb. They both knew it. He also knew that Agyness was trying to do things on her terms, she was used it being that way. She was going to have to learn however, that sometimes you had to let go. Draco was determined to get her to relinquish some of that control, it was the only way he was going to be able to show her that she could trust him. That she could put herself in another person's hands and not get hurt.
He gave another dry chuckle. "Frivolous you say? Well, wasn't it you who just commented on the lack of romanticism? I was simply trying to give you a little romance. Though I would have thought that that would have been considered frivolous as well. Hmmm....I would have thought a Ravenclaw would be a little more clear in her meanings." He was baiting her. Draco stared into her lovely face, challenging her yet again. Not many people would have had the courage but he relished the fight. Agyness had spirit and he was falling for her all the faster because of it.
Adriane gave a nod. Try not and kill each other, that sounded good enough. Though just a few days before it would've seemed near impossible. Then again, just a few days ago her plans for the future were still intact. Now she was being forced to put up with Potter, though for some reason she wasn't feeling the usual hate just his name sparked. It wasn't because...she wasn't actually...was she? 'Oh stop it, that's rubbish,' she quickly told herself, banishing the thought from her mind. Never in a million years would she feeling anything but loathing for Harry Potter.
Adriane's nose wrinkled slightly at the mention of Azkaban. "No, I don't much fancy a trip there. So I suppose your friend had better find something. It's highly unlikely one of us will make it out alive if we have to go through with this." She let that hang in the air a moment, the look on her face clearly getting across the message that she'd be the one making it out alive. After a moment she stood. "I suppose I should go. Make sure Badwan hasn't pushed Draco off a tower or something." With that she simply turned and exited the Great Hall, wondering just where Agyness and her brother had gotten off to.
Ah, there it was. Irial smiled to himself, satisfied that he'd finally gotten a reaction out of Ginny. He merely leaned against the wall, waiting until she was finished with her little rant before responding. "But you see, Weasley, your family is fighting a losing battle. There will always be families like the Hayes or Malfoys, who have too much power in the Ministry to let everyone be treated equally. The same thing goes on in the Muggle world, in fact. People cannot be treated equally, because people won't allow it. It's just a simple fact of the world." He spoke lazily, not bothered at all that he'd just revealed he knew some of what the Muggle world was like. It was a bit of a long story, one he wasn't going to get into unless she asked.
Though there was still more that needed to be adressed. Irial stepped forward and put an arm around Ginny's shoulders, walking slowly once more towards the Owlery. "Tell me, Weasley. What is it that your family thinks about mine? We're a bunch of arrogant, bigoted, pompous pricks?" He shrugged, his arm dropping back to his side. "That is simply your opinion, as it is my opinion that your family needs to learn that Muggles and Muggle-borns are beneath you. I don't see how its much different, to be honest." He continued walking, glancing at the red head beside him for her reaction to his words.
Ginny shook her head. He had managed to get her talking and had gotten her temper riled. Was it his goal to make her hate him? Was that his aim? Running a hand through her hair she gathered her thoughts and decided on a reply. "It's only a simple fact of the world because people choose it to be that way. I choose, as does my family, to see things differently. If we could get more people to lay down their egos then maybe one day that "simple fact" as you call it would change. Just because we have magic doesn't make us better then muggles." She glanced over at him. This was a heavy conversation to be having but she supposed it had to be done. They would have to figure out one another sooner or later. At least he was trying to be civil this time.
"And being pure blooded doesn't make us better then Muggle borns. It doesn't make our magic stronger or our lives longer. It's just a matter of parentage. Nothing more nothing less." She was slightly startled as Irial put his arm around her shoulders. With as much grace as she could muster she pushed his arm gingerly from her and put just a little more space between them. The last thing she needed was for people to think she was one of his fan girls.
Ugh. Those girls were disgusting. Mooning after him, and fawning after him like a bunch of sotted fools. They had no self respect to be falling all over a guy who got pleasure from flattering a girl and then dumping her on her face. Ginny was like that. She would never be like that. Pushing those thoughts away she addressed his query.
"My family thinks that yours does great work in the Ministry, though perhaps with a little more arrogance then is needed. Despite how we feel about your stance on Muggles and Muggle-borns we at least give you the respect of your opinion. Which is more then I can say for your family." She hadn't intended to say it with as much venom as had come out but there wasn't much she could do about that. Her brothers of course would pound her over the head if they had heard that but at this point she didn't care.
Her green eyes assessed him. He wore his arrogance and ego like a second skin. She wondered belatedly if he was using those like an armor against getting too close but swept that thought aside quickly. She didn't care either way. Taking a deep breath she pressed on. "The difference is," she spoke as if schooling a small child. "At least I have enough respect for your opinions to not openly mock them. However distasteful I might find them I still let you have your opinions free of insult or slander. I daresay you can't say the same." He had already proven that to be true.
Ginny kept up the same pace toward the Owlrey, though her eyes were now glued to the ever approaching tower. She had been trying to keep from adding anything else to the conversation but her lips were twitching with the effort to keep her mouth shut. In the end her will power won out. There was no need to add what she was thinking. Though, if the topic continued in the general direction it was headed she would no doubt be able to give voice to what she wanted to say.
Theo listened to Aleska say that they would need fresh clothes and food and such. "No, we don't need to eat" He said to her trying to keep a serious face as he shook his head. Then he couldn't help but smile. "No, don't worry I will get you down" He told her as he lightly touched the tip of her nose.
Then the tone of the conversation changed once more. He nodded his head as he listened to her speak. No doubt would Aleksa's father look for every single out of this. But no, they had decided as soon as they were told that they were being paired that they weren't going to fight it. They were going to see it through. "Well see where your father will by trying to get you out of this, my family will be thrilled. You will probably have to compete with my mother and Thalia to make the wedding plans" He said to her with a smile. Then he ran his hand through her hair, "They always prefered you over her" He knew that Aleska would know who he was refering to.
Aleksa should have felt a surge of victory at his words. Though, she only felt the usual warm glow at the mention of his family. She had visited his home during the winter of their second year. It had been a heady experience to say the least. She had always wondered what it was like to have a large family, since it had only been her and her father since she could remember. She loved the easy fun loving atmosphere that his family had.
She gave him a small smile. "I like your family. I'll more then welcome your mother and Thalia's help. Father will come around. He had to. We are all each other has."
Theo remembered back to Aleska's visit to his home in Germany. For the most part he loved his family. His mother and sister were great, but Theodore and his father didn't really have the best of relationships. Theo had never been good enough for him. Luckily though during Aleska's visit his father had been on his best behavior. There had been no family drama. It was one of the few times that had ever happened.
As she spoke Theo could tell that Aleska was thinking more about her father. "Don't worry about it. He loves you and he wants you to be happy. He only wants whats best for you." He told her. Hopefully her father would see though that what was best for her was Theo.
Aleksa smiled and nodded. She was thinking way too much about this and hadn't even written the letter yet. No use in imagining trouble where trouble might not exist. "Your right. There's no use worrying about it now." She stretched languidly her head still resting on Theo's chest. She would deal with that crisis if and when it came to her. Right now she was with Theo and she didn't want any drama messing up her time.
Theo agreed with her. They had just gotten engaged, there was no need worrying over soemthing that would end up with both of them in a sour mood. No they were supposed to be happy, be thrilled. And he was.
As she got more comfortable he took a deep breath. Then he decided it was time to change then subject. "So about these kids, do I get any say in names or do you already have them picked out" he asked her jokingly. These were the types of things that all girls already had planned. Just like the wedding day, they all knew what they wanted ever since they were small children.
Aleksa's smile slipped and a look of profound thought overcame her features. She had always known she wanted kids, lots of them, but naming them hadn't ever crossed her mind. She gave a little giggle. "I suppose you can help with names. To be honest I haven't even thought about names. I've always known I want a lot of children but as to their names and genders....I've always thought leaving that to fate would be the best policy."
Theo smiled as he watched Aleksa's reaction to his question. It actually slightly surprised him that she hadn't given any thought to it. He had always figured that all girls were weird like that. "Leaving it to fate sounds good to me" He said to her.
he kissed her lightly on the top of the head. "So what do you have in mind for the wedding?" He asked her curiously. He had already told her that it was completely her decision but he was still curious as to what she wanted.

Agyness's facial expression was stoic, although a fire burned murderously in her eyes. Draco was winding her up on purpose; that she was well aware of. Agyness was struggling to resist the temptation to spit in his face or something even more cruel, but she wasn't usually prone to violence. Her cutting remarks usually sufficed. However, as Draco smiled smugly and egged her on, Agyness felt as if she was about to burst at any second. Agyness had been about to speak and tell him that he was talking nonsense, but she knew better than to leave him with any more verbal bait. "I attempted to be clear, but your small mind isn't able to process the depth of my words." She answered, her tone rough and callous. Grasping the cream-colored folder rather tightly with both hands, she noticed that her palms were sweating. Why was she so worked up, especially over such a person as Draco? Would she dare to admit or even realize that she was falling into his trap, her heart overruling her mind?
As she looked into his mocking grey eyes, she noticed something beyond his arrogant expression. There was something needy. Was it hope, hope that Agyness would succumb to his prodding? Or was it genuine feeling, as if Draco was feeling something more than smug superiority? Did he fancy her, or was he pushing her buttons? Only Merlin knew. No matter how much she supposedly "despised" him, Agyness was set on finding out the meaning of the hidden look in his eyes.
Aleksa shrugged her shoulders. He had just asked about yet another thing that she had dreamed about but never put any serious thought into. Though, now that the question was out there her mind was turning over the possibilities. "I know I want it to be relatively small but elegant. Maybe 200 guests tops."
She didn't much fancy having half the wizarding world attending as some of the other girls here no doubt would. Most of them would do it for the gifts while others for the notoriety. Aleksa however didn't care about those things. She would prefer a small, far more intimate celebration. The larger the guest list was the more of a circus the whole thing turned into, and she didn't relish playing the ring leader on a day that was supposed to be all about her.
"And the whole white dress thing is so antiquated, I want mine to be red. And I think the color scheme should be black and white." The idea had occurred to her not three seconds ago but the idea was marvelous. Warming up to her topic she twisted around so that she could see his face. "What do you think? And I want your honest opinion cause it's your wedding too."
Draco chuckled softly as she yet again reverted to insulting his intelligence. He was beginning to notice that she did that a lot when she had nothing else to say. It was yet another defense mechanism. Running a hand through his hair, he was waiting for more insults but they never came.
Glancing back up he looked at her curiously. Agyness was studying him intently, as if she was trying to figure out a puzzle. He raised his eyebrows questioningly, though he would wait for her to speak. She had a quick mind, so whatever she was trying to figure out she either would or she would ask. So Draco waited patiently.

Agyness sighed, looking away. She wasn't going to ask him what she was thinking, what she honestly desired to know. But if she despised him so, then what did she care what Draco felt for her? Should she care if she asked him what he felt and he gave her a cold answer? Repressing her thoughts, Agyness decided to change the subject. "We should plan the ceremony," She spoke, her eyes diligently staring out at the grounds as she avoided his gaze. Taking a step back, so her back rested against the guard rail near the balcony, she pulled up the folder as if it were a stuffed animal that one used for comfort. "Do you have a quill, so we can right something down?" She asked, attempting to control her shaky tone. But she was having a hard time. The atmosphere was tense.
Theo listened to Aleska talk of her ideas for the wedding. Ah so he had been right about this one, she knew what she wanted. He agreed. They didn't need a huge guest list. This was something that releived him. When him and Reagan had been making planes she wanted the whole wizarding community there. Aleska's idea of a wedding was much more to his taste.
The as she went on he started to form that day in his head. He could see it now. All of the people, then Aleska walking down the ise. Of course everyone would be surprised at her color choice but he thought it was amazing. She was the one that needed to stand out for the day. He agreed with her, she wasn't the type of girl to wear the simple white traditional dress. It just wasn't her.
As she asked his opinion he looked at her with a bright smile on his face. "I love it" He told her. "I think it sounds perfect. You could even ask all of the guests to come in only black and white that way your red stands out even more" He suggested to her. This was really getting him excited. Now he couldn't wait or the day to come. The day when Aleska would become his wife.
With a dry chuckle and a wry grin Draco shook his head at Agyness. He saw the moment she decided not to ask whatever was on her mind. Her change in direction toward the wedding plans made that even more evident.
"Why not ask what was on your mind? You usually don't have a problem with that...speaking your mind and getting to the root of things. Why stop now?" Draco was trying to figure out what was on her mind. Waving a hand her way he shrugged. "I don't mind the small details. Though I do ask that it isn't too fluffy or flowery. Classy would be nice."
Smiling wistfully Aleksa pictured their wedding in her mind. The moment he suggested it all of the faceless guests were now wearing black and white and she liked the idea instantly. Looking up at Theo she gave him a thoughtful look. "I love that idea. Did you know that brides orginially wore red dresses on there wedding days? It wasn't until the emergence of christianity that they changed it to white."
Her father had always had a strange but avid interest in the religions of the world. He liked to see how muggles beliefs shaped how they lived and thought. Aleksa had taken a mild interest in some of them but only for the factual gain that they gave. Such as the fact that wiccan brides wore red to pay homage to the Moon Goddess. It was she who could bless or curse a union, wearing red also symbolized the strength and power of the woman wearing it.
Aleksa just hoped that her union was blessed. After all, a magical hat had sealed their fate for Merlin's sake. That had to count for something, right?

Sighing, Agyness spoke in a calm tone, "True. But, I can be private at times. I expect you would understand." Quickly shuffling through the folder, she found a spare bit of parchment and picked up a quill and ink bottle that a student had left in the tower, probably from an Astronomy Lesson. Dipping the quill in the drying ink, she began to take notes on what Draco had said. "Good. I agree," She responded rather brusquely as she scratched out bullet points in elegant script on the parchment. It was back to business, thankfully.
"So, I suppose we'll go with a black and white color scheme, maybe with some silver. Although I assume my mother might want to include some green, or possibly blue, in the mix. But the biggest decision is," She sighed, turning to look at Draco, "Who is going to be the best man, who's going to be the maid of honor?"
Theodore's interest was immediately caught when Aleska started talking about how way back in the day the brides had worn red. No he hadn't known that. History always had interested him. "Really?" He asked her. "Thats wicked" He was quite impressed that she knew her stuff.
All of this talk about the wedding was getting Theo extremely excited. He was the type of guy that once he got worked up about something he wanted it then. Sadly he would have to wait just a little while for this one but it would definately be worth it. "So where do you want to have the wedding?" He asked her curiously. He wasn't sure if she would be the one to want it in a chappel or outside or somewhere completely different. Honestly he didnt' have a preference just as long as Aleska was there.
Well that was an interesting question indeed. Draco rubbed the back of his head. He didn't have too many friends left. Most had either fled after the battle or were no longer talking to him. Crabb and Goyle were clearly out of the question so that left him with a great big nothing.
Absently while mulling over his predicament, Draco commented idly on her request for privacy. "I suppose you are entitled to some privacy. Though in future if you want to know something please don't hesitate. I have nothing to hide." He hoped that she knew he was being sincere. If they had anything normal in their marriage he wanted it to be honesty. Being upfront and open would be a plus as well but he was taking it one step at a time.
Throwing up one hand, Draco gave a non committal shrug. "I think Irial would be my best bet for a best man. He's dated my sister for quite a few years now and while we aren't close, I would consider him a friend. It's either that or use my sister." He grinned as a picture of his dear sister in a tux came floating through his mind.
She loved his response. Most people didn't think that was interesting, while Aleksa found it fascinating. That fact that he had that in common with her made her practically glow with satisfaction. Her smile turned wistful as he asked where she wanted to wedding to be at. After thinking about it for a few minutes she came up with the best answer she could provide at the moment.
"I'd like it to be outdoors. I'm not sure where though. Either near a lake or in the woods." Then a sly smile lit her face up as yet another genius idea hit her. "And I want it to be at night. During a full moon." The scene in her mind transformed again as she grinned. It might not be every girls dream wedding but Aleksa wasn't like other girls.

Agyness nodded, marking down Irial on the parchment as Draco finished speaking. She had heard the bit about his open honesty with her and a small smile came to her face. His words oozed his genuine sentiment and it had been quite a while since someone had been so sincere. Maybe if Agyness tried being a little kinder, she would receive more kindness in return. Sighing, she began to think of the maid of honor. "Well, I don't consider many of my so-called female friends to be close enough to me." She spoke, pursing her lips. Then again, no one was necessarily emotionally close to Agyness Badwan. "I suppose I could use my mother or your sister. It's not too important." Scribbling down her own words on the parchment, a soft scratching sound came as the quill scrawled out words on paper.
Theo could tell just by looking at Aleska that she liked that he was intersted in the history stuff. He couldn't help but to return her smile when she wore that look in her eyes. Just knowing that he made her happy was enough to get him through the rest of his life.
When she went on describing what she wanted Theodore liked each one of her ideas. This was so different than planning the wedding that him and Reagan had once wished to have. She had been the whole fru-fru white gown on beach with ten bridesmaides and hundreds of guests. It had been really overwheming to listen to her. But Aleska's idea of a wedding intruiged him. As she spoke of what she wanted he couldn't picture their wedding be anything but. "It sounds perfect" he told her with a smile as he played her with hair, twisting it around one of his fingers.
Draco listened to both her voice and the scratch of her quill on the parchment. Her movements were quick but precise. There wasn't a bit of wasted movement and she was always graceful but business like in everything she did. He didn't fail to notice her smile at his words and wondered if he was actually getting through to her.
Aleksa snuggled into Theo more fully as he began playing with her hair and said that her ideas were perfect. It made things so much easier that he agreed with her. She was getting even more excited at the prospect of their marriage. It all sounded far more fairytale then the huge white wedding that everyone always wanted, it made it even better that her prince charming was Theodore Nott. "This is perfect."

"So," Agyness sighed just before the silence became pronounced, the scratching of the quill coming to a stop as she dipped the tip of it into the drying ink in the glass bottle, "What else shall we need? I don't expect that we will have much more to plan out, knowing my mother. She'll take the reins and will act as if this ceremony of matrimony is her own." A small laugh escaped her lips as she tapped the tip of the quill on the glass of the ink bottle, thinking. "I believe we're done, unless you have anything else to add?" Agyness's tone was business-like again as she began to stow away the ink bottle and the quill from where she had found it. In her mind, the fastest that she got out of that blasted Astronomy Tower, the better. After Draco and Agyness's awkward scene there, it was best to leave the memory and the place behind.
Draco couldn't help but look away in frustration. He had worked so hard to get her to open up and he had gotten so close. But she had shut down, so completely that he didn't think he would ever be able to crack her shell again. Frustrated and crestfallen, he shrugged. "I can't think of anything."
He glanced up and noticed both her body language and her expression. She would rather be anywhere then there with him. Draco looked down at his feet again. Well, if this didn't mean anything to her then it damn well wouldn't mean anything to him either. He could feel the icey brick wall building back up around his heart. His eyes hardened along with his resolve.
His blond head came back up and his body language screamed boredom. His gray eyes were two windows that reflected nothing back. "I think that's it. Does this conclude our business meeting? Or do I need to sign some papers to make this meeting official?" His tone was snide and cocky. Merlin be blasted if he was going to let on to her how much all of this had wounded him.

Agyness was almost relieved, although a bit taken aback, that Draco had returned to his original demeanor. Quickly stuffing the parchment into the paper folder, Agyness turned sharply and began to lead the way out of the Astronomy Tower and down the stairs. "No, your service has been satisfactory," She kept her expression stoic as she placed one hand on the stair rail. "We can continue these talks later, I suppose." No matter what she did, his return to being cruel had hurt her slightly. However, Agyness being Agyness, she didn't let her emotional veil slip as she descended the tall flight of stairs.
As they reached the bottom of the stairs, Agyness could already feel the tense atmosphere between the pair succumb her. Her lips were tight as she was obviously a bit uncomfortable. But really, who was Agyness to apologize?
Draco's heart sank as she returned his demeanor. She really didn't care. Shattered inside, he followed her out of the Astronomy Tower. On the outside he was the same cold Draco that he had once been. If this was how she wanted it then this was how he would be. Hands still shoved firmly in his pockets, as they reached the staircase he took a step toward the dungeons.
"Well, I'll bugger off then. See ya." He wanted to say so much more but didn't. She had already proved him wrong and he wasn't going to make a fool of himself twice. Without waiting for a reply he sauntered off to the Slytherin Common room to lick his wounds and try to steal his heart. This was going to be hell. Being married and stuck with someone he was starting to fall in love with, but who didn't even care for him at all.
