After the end of the Second War, life was slowly returning to normal. Most of those who'd missed a year of schooling because they were in hiding, or for other reasons, have returned to finish out their education. It finally seemed Hogwarts would have a normal year. At least, as normal as it can get.
Until the Ministry announced a new program. After the amount of deaths, population became an issue. So, each 6th and 7th year wizard is to try on a hat. This hat is much like the Sorting Hat in the fact its able to see the person's mind. But it doesn't sort you into a house - it shouts the name of the girl each of these unfortunate males would be best with. It creates a binding magical contract that can only be broken by going through a long, tedious process with the Ministry. This can take up to 2 or 3 years. Within a year, the pairs must marry. Along with this, the hat has its own special magic it casts on each of these people. It starts feelings for the other person stronger than just a friendship. Overtime, it unnoticebly fades, making any feelings for the other person real. Though no one is aware of this magic at all.
Consequences for not following the Marriage Law are quite severe. They include loss of your wand and a life sentence in Azkaban. So, who will try and make these odd pairings work? And who will downright refuse?

Name: Adriane Malfoy Age: 16 // 6th Year Gender: Female Birthday: June 23rd House: Slytherin - Chaser on Quidditch Team Paired with: Harry Potter
History: Adriane Malfoy, as to be expected of a Malfoy, is spoiled rotten. She's grown up with her older brother, Draco, just as any other child in a high-class, pureblood family. She was brought up to believe she was far above anyone else and no one was worth her time. She was taught in deciet, giving her the power to wrap authority figures around her finger and thus making it to where she could simply do whatever the heck she wanted. However, she discovered her parents "dark activities" a bit sooner than her brother did, and took an unnatural liking to them. By the time she was watching her brother leave for his first year at Hogwarts, she'd already read as much as she could on Voldemort and other Dark Wizards in the past. Though it wasn't until right at the end of her fourth year did she truely act upon her fascination.
Her fourth year at Hogwarts was the year her father had been discovered and sent off to Azkaban. She hadn't known but about the entire situation, but knew enough to be convinced it was Harry Potter to get him sent off. It was then she developed a bit of a hatred for the boy, though she'd barely known him beforehand. Just beore her fifth year started, her and her brother joined the ranks of the Death Eaters. She was well aware of how shocked and fearful her mother was, and how much Draco despised it. But Adriane embraced it. During her fifth year, she had become one of Voldemort's most valuable spies within the castle. Long before the time of the Final Battle, the 15 year old had wormed her way up to the point she was equal in rank - if not higher - than Bellatrix Lestrange herself. After the battle, less faithful followers Mark's had faded...yet Adriane still wears hers and isn't afraid to remind others.
Personality: Just as she was raised, Adriane acts like most other high-class purebloods. She believes she's far above anyone else, and will not hesitate to put others in their place. Though her sarcastic, snide comments are not only saved for the Mudbloods and blood traitors. They will even sometimes extend further, to pureblood Slytherins like herself. Even those with good names, she believes, are lower than the Malfoys. Unlike her brother, she will not stand to be around any "bumbling idiots", as she'd always dubbed Draco's two cronies. She also has a great sense of family pride. She is highly aware that all the money and power she has comes from her family name, and does nothing if there is the slightest possibility it will bring down her family's standing even a little. She knows some of her classmates are aware of the Mark she keeps hidden underneath her sleeves, and will readily use it as a threat if the situation calls for it.
Around authority figures, this changes. She is able to make herself into a kind, sweet person. Teachers in the school think they are aware of some of what goes on when Adriane is talking to other students, though they don't really have any clue to the extent it goes to. Anyone at all, she is practised enough to decieve them and bend them to her will, without them noticing. She's able to watch a person, and tends to note small facial changes that help clue her into what the other person is thinking. Anything discovered generally goes to decieving this person or blackmailing them for some purpose, however. Adriane is also a bit...flirtatious. Though many other girls have their skirts higher than they should be, hers tend to be just a bit shorter. She feeds off male attention, though stays classy when trying to get it. She refuses to avert to any behaviours that might mark her with any bad names other girls might think up.

History: Irial led a very priviledged life, as an only child to a quite rich family. Though with the War, he never truely picked sides. His whole family agreed some with getting rid of the Muggle borns, though never acted upon these thoughts. He was taught the same things as many purebloods are - that he was above anyone else, and anyone who is not pure of blood is to not be considered. When he started Hogwarts, he was immediately Sorted into Ravenclaw. This came as a slight shock, as the rest of the family had been in Slytherin, though it caused no uproar as it might've if he'd been sorted into Gryffindor or Hufflepuff. If not Slytherin, Ravenclaw was a suitable alternative to the family. Throughout the years, Irial didn't get much involved with what was happening against Voldemort. He was one of the ones who simply ignored the situation, and didn't really give a flip what happened. Until his fifth year, when him and a certain Malfoy girl started hanging out. It was near the beginning of the year the two become a bit more than just friends. It wasn't a secret; they just didn't go out of their way to tell anyone. But his relationship with her got him involuntarily into quite a bit of it. Often he was helping her with something related to whatever Voldemort had her doing. Aside from this, he did his best to stay out of it.
Personality: Irial is a very cocky, arrogant person. He doesn't put down people he believes are below him; no, he simply ignores them. He believes they aren't worth his time, and isn't willing to put in the effort to make them either start crying or get angry. He's a bit on the silent side when in public, though isn't shy to speak at all. He has some strong opinions on things, and will debate them if someone goes against him. He believe's he's always right, and if need be will do the typical Ravenclaw thing to prove his point: pull out a book. He does take his studies very seriously, and has managed to become the top student in 6th year.
Irial happens to also be abit of a flirt. He can't help but wink at a few girls that he's usually convinced himself are in love with him. Though generally none of them are. It goes back to his arrogant side, thinking every girl is in love with him and that he's just the best looking person to walk the face of the Earth. Though he never goes further than harmless flirting with other girls.
Aleksa gave a small gasp of surprise as Theo pulled her closer and kissed her more deeply. For a few moments she couldn't think. She could only feel. Her heart was pounding in her chest, it was so loud she was surprised that Theo couldn't hear it. She was sorry when he finally pulled away, but they certainly couldn't stand there all night.
Taking a shaky breath, Aleksa closed her eyes as he kissed her forehead and bid her goodnight. "Good night." She whispered. She watched as he disappeared behind the door to the boys dormitory and couldn't help the smile that came to her face.
Wistfully, Aleksa turned and went into the girls dormitory. After prepping for bed, Aleksa made her way over to her familiar four poster and crawled under the covers. She was asleep before her head hit the pillow.
Draco nodded at his sisters concern. "Yes. He will find out eventually but by then we will have come up with a plan." He hoped at any rate. As she mentioned the late hour, he rose and walked by her side.
Together the Malfoy siblings made their way down to the dungeons and into the Slytherin common room. Impulsively, he reached over and gathered his sister to him in a huge hug. "We will figure this out. I won't let father get you upset and I promise that we will figure something out. I want my little sister to be happy." He kissed her hair and then just as quickly let her go.
Stepping back, he gave her his usual cocky wink and then turned to head to bed. It had been a long day and he was due for some much deserved sleep.
Sunlight. Bloody Sunlight. Theodore Nott, ever sensitive to sunlight in the early morning. It never failed that as soon as the sun shone through the windows he was awake. This was not something he was ever happy about. If he had it his way he would be alseep until noon.
He rolled over and looked out of the window that was across the room. All of the sudden yesterdays event came rushing back to him. He hat, his and Reagan's breakup, his and Aleska's engagement, that kiss right before bed. Was it all a dream? No, Theo knew the answer to that right away. All of that had really happened.
As he finally rose from bed Teddy started to get ready for the day. He threw on a pair of jeams and a black t-shirt. It gave him an almost dark look, the black shirt in contrast with his dark hair and eyes. But anyone he knew Theo would know that he didn't have the darkest of personalities.
Once finally ready he made his way down to the common room. It was still early, and he figured that not too many people would be down at breakfast. He decided to take advantage of this time to write a letter to his sister about yesterday's events. Thalia was three years older than Theo. They had always been close, and he had always kept her in the loop of what was going on. She knew that the engagements were to be made, but she had no clue about Aleska. Thalia had met Aleska quite a few times, of course all of them had been before their third year. But they had always liked each other. Thalia was often teasing Theo that he would have better off with Aleska. If she only knew. He sat down in one of the chairs beside the fireplace and began writing.
Adriane allowed her rother to hug her, and nodded silently in agreement with his words. They would figure it out - they had to. She shot him her usual smirk in repsonse to his wink before turning and heading off to bed.

The next morning, Adriane was up early. She knew the sun must just be rising, though it was difficult to tell with the position the Slytherin Dungeon was in. It took her a moment to get up out of bed, as she would've much rather slept, though knew it was now impossible. Groggily she sat herself up and dressed. There weren't classes that day, so at least she'd have the entire day mostly to herself. She had the feeling she'd need it.
But it wasn't until her eyes fell on the yellow envelope on her bedside table that she remembered what had happened the day before. Her fists clenched slightly, her fingernails digging into her palms. She snatched it up and headed for the common room, which was still deserted. This did not bother the blonde; in fact, she preferred it over having to sit amongst people who would likely make fun of the fact she'd been Paired with Potter. Stupid bloody hat. The thought echoed in her mind for the umpteenth time as she sat, and began looking through the papers once more, resigned to trying to fill some of them out that morning.
Irial listened silently to Agyness, quite surprised she would voice such thoughts aloud. Stuffing his hands in his pockets, he responded simply. "The law says nothing about divorce, except you have to wait at least six months." But by that time, they'd reached the common room, and went their seperate ways towards the dormitories. Irial fell asleep almost instantly, and was still snoring by the time the sun had started to rise.

Agyness had slept quite peacefully, having taken a few soothing breaths before she had gone to sleep. Talking with Irial had made her feel slightly better. Even though she appeared calm as she woke up, yawning and stretching as the suns rays crept through the curtained window, a tempest was thrashing throughout her mind. As soon as she began to wake, dress, and contemplate her situation, her pulse rose once more and she began to become more hasty and careless with her morning routine. She ripped her hair brush through her ginger locks and roughly stuffed her socks and shoes onto her feet, her mind elsewhere as she thought and thought. After dressing, she made her way to the Great Hall with the cream-colored folder tightly held to her chest. Taking a seat at the Ravenclaw table, she locked her eyes on the doors of the Great Hall. Agyness needed to talk to Adriane, and soon. Her eyes narrowed as she took a sip of her milk-filled goblet.
Neville hadn't had much sleep at all as he had tossed and turned through the night. The encounter with Luna had been quite embarrassing and his cheeks began to flush at the mere thought of the previous night's events. He fumbled around as he began to clean up and get dressed, hoping that a spot of breakfast would make him feel less queasy and more awake. Dragging a hand through his short hair as he ignored the brush on his bedside table, Neville clomped his way down to the Great Hall. Most students had already gotten up by now. Most seemed to be whispering about the pairings, from what Neville caught on his way down the Grand Staircase.
After a while, Adriane had given up on the papers. It was far too early for her mind to be working well at all, especially when paired with yesterday's events clouding her thoughts. Highly frustrated, the blonde stuffed the papers back in their envelope after having gotten nothing done, and returned them to her dormitory. Most of the other girls were awake and had already left for breakfast, and she decided to do the same. Maybe, just maybe, after she ate her mind would be a bit sharper, and she could make sense of all the legal talk in the papers.
As she walked in the Great Hall, her eyes immediatly alighted on the Ravenclaw table out of pure habit - she doubted Irial would be up just yet, but she couldn't help and check. Rather, her eyes fell on Agyness, who appeared to be waiting on something. So instead Adriane walked past the Slytherin table, and took a seat across from the other girl. "Waiting on something, Badwan?" she commented, a small hint of her usual antagonism finding its way into her voice. But instead of looking at the ginger, her eyes quickly scanned the Gryffindor table for a certain arrogant, scar-bearing seventh year. As much as she really didn't want to, she knew eventually her and Potter would have to talk, and at the very least try not to rip each other's throats out. Despite how much she dearly wanted to.

Agyness gave Adriane a curt nod as she took a seat across from her. It was nice to see that Draco hadn't accompanied her. Agyness knew that they needed to speak eventually, but Agyness wasn't sure that she could keep her breakfast down if Draco came around making verbal jabs at her again. "If by something you mean you," She answered, a sickly sweet smile on her lips, "Then yes." Taking the cream-colored folder from her lap and placing it on the polished wood of the table, she pushed the thick pieces of parchment across the way towards Adriane before crossing her arms over her chest. "Did you have any luck with Slughorn last night?" She cocked her head to the side ever so slightly. Adriane looked tired, as if she had hardly slept. Maybe she had gotten some sleep but thoughts of Potter had subconsciously invaded her dreams. Poor girl.

Morning came far too early for Harry's liking. He hadn't slept well at all that night, and he doubted he got even a few hours of sleep. But no matter how hard he tossed and turned and tried to fall back asleep, he just couldn't. He laid there awake for awhile and heard the others in his dorm get up, but he pretended to be asleep so not even Ron would disturb him. He didn't know how long he waited after they'd all left, but finally he forced himself out of bed, put on his glasses, and dressed himself. He didn't bother with his hair; it was always messy no matter what he did. Then he grabbed the packet of papers he'd gotten from Professor McGonagall the previous day and headed down the stairs to the Gryffindor common room.
He considered sitting in there for awhile to look through the papers again, as there was no one in there to bother him, but his stomach grumbled loudly. He knew he couldn't possibly run on both a tired mind and an empty stomach, so he left the common room and headed for the Great Hall where breakfast was surely still being served.
When he entered, Harry resisted the urge to see if Adriane Malfoy was already at the Slytherin table - he knew they'd have to talk eventually, but right now he simply had no patience to listen to her. So he sat down at the Gryffindor table across from Hermione and Ron, two of the few people who actually made sense as a pairing.

Adriane ignored the smile on Agyness' face, her eyes staying focused on the envelope she pushed across the table. "He gave me the papers, somewhat reluctantly, however," she responded. Flicking her eyes back up towards the doors of the Great Hall as they opened, she saw Potter walk through and take his seat at the Gryffindor table. A small scowl formed on her face, though she forced her attention back to the Ravenclaw she was currently speaking with. "Haven't got a clue what most of that rubbish means. They're trying to make it as difficult as possible." Her eyes once more travelled to the Gryffindors, eyes alighting on Potter again while he spoke with Granger and Weasley.
Irial finally awoke, quite a bit later than normal. He forced himself out of bed and dressed, running a comb through his hair to make sure he looked at least presentable before going down to breakfast. Once he had entered the Great Hall, he found an interesting sight at the Ravenclaw table. Adriane and Agyness. That pairing could only spell trouble. But just as confident as ever he took a seat next to the Malfoy, only to notice she hadn't even noticed his prescence. He followed her gaze to the Gryffindor table, and his eyes narrowed.
"Everything alright?" he asked her, more to get her attention off Potter than to find out if something was wrong.
Adriane started as Irial's voice rang out in her ear; she hadn't even noticed him walk in. Quickly nodding she responded, "Everything's fine." The half-smile she gave him was forced, but she quickly turned to Agyness to avoid any further questions. "How far have you gotten with it?" she inquired.

Aleksa pulled herself reluctantly from the throes of sleep. Rubbing her eyes the brunette rolled over and stared up at the ceiling. The drapes were pulled around her four poster preventing all but a small beam of light of penetrate the darkness within. Stretching languidly, she debated on rolling back over and sleeping for another hour or two but thought better of it.
As she rose out of bed, grumbling against the bright sunlight Aleksa began to wonder if yesterday had all been a dream. It had all seemed so surreal. Sighing, Aleksa ran a brush through her hair and got dressed. Throwing on her favorite pair of jeans and a blue blouse she assessed herself in the mirror and was satisfied.
Still slightly disgruntled at the morning having come so early, Aleksa walked out of her room and down to the common room. Most everyone seemed to be up and about already though when she fully entered the room there was someone sitting at one of the study tables. She didn't have to look very closely to know who it was.
Trepidation and fear shot through her and she fidgeted. Could yesterday have been just a dream? Pushing down her nerves, Aleksa took a step forward. "Morning."
Ginny woke up early and went for a long walk. Her circuit around the grounds had helped to ground her internally. Finally she walked back into the castle and entered the Great Hall. Her red skirt fluttered around her knees as she sat down at the Gryffindor table. Her eyes alighted briefly upon her intended who was seated with the Malfoy witch. The red head couldn't help but roll her eyes at the two.
Diverting her attention, Ginny looked to the food and her stomach rumbled. Tucking in to her breakfast she listened as her fellow Gryffindors immersed themselves in conversation.
Draco sauntered into the Great Hall he was headed for the Slytherin table but noticed the three sitting at the Ravenclaw table. Smiling, he changed directions and plopped himself down next to Agyness Badwan. He put his arm around her and gave her a good -natured squeeze.
"Good morning darling." He gave his sister a wink and nodded to Irial.

"Not far, unfortunately," Agyness scowled at the folder of papers as if it had somehow personally wronged her. "I tried to sleep on it and clear my mind. But," She sighed, "it seems like one of the most complicated sets of legalities that I've ever encountered." She looked up to find Irial at Adriane's side. Of course he would be there. Irial might have been a flirt, but Agyness knew that he truly cared for Adriane. She wanted to scoff at their relationship. Love: it wasn't real. It was a superficiality created by simple men with great power to increase the rate of procreation. Agyness started as a presence neared her. As soon as the words came out of Draco's mouth, she quickly slipped out of his grasp and crossed her arms over her chest decisively. "Don't touch me," She hissed.
Neville entered the Great Hall and spotted a few friends. Taking a seat next to Harry, he nodded to all three of the trio before swiping through his unkempt hair. "Did you all sleep well?" He asked, a small, false grin on his innocent face. By the looks of all, it seemed like none were in the mood for small talk. Not one bit. He gazed towards the doors of the great hall, wondering if Luna would appear at any moment. "Any plan to get ourselves out of this?" He looked at them all rather hopelessly. "Don't get me wrong... Luna is a lovely girl, but she's-she's my friend."
Theo looked down at the words that he had written. He read back over them and realized just how he felt about yesterdays events. He read the happiness that he had put into the letter to his sister. There was still some curiosity about it all but he was excited to see how things would play out between him and Aleska.
Just as her name came into his head Theodore heard her voice. He quickly sealed the envelope and turned around his eyes quickly found Aleska. He stood from where he had been sitting. "goodmorning" he told her giving her a bright smile. He felt the urge to hug her or take her hand or something but instead stayed where he was.
As Teddy stood there looking at Aleska he could see that something was wrong. It was written all over her face. Theo couldn't help but fear that something had happened during the night. With a concerned look on his face he said to her, "Aleska what's the matter? Are you alright?" he asked.
Still staying where she was her face raked over his expression trying to read something. All he showed was concern. Could it be true then? Yesterday really did happen? Not trusting what her mind might except as truth she took a deep breath.
"Yesterday...we were Paired. Weren't we?" Her voice was soft and filled with uncertainty. She couldn't say why she felt so insecure at that moment, she only hoped she hadn't dreamed it all.
Theo still couldn't read Aleska all that much other than to see that something was wrong. But then he heard what she said and how small her voice was. Now he gave her a soft smile. "yes yesterday we were paired" he said to her.
But then it hit him. What if sometime during the night she had decided that she had make a mistake. That she didn't want to be paired with him afterall. "that is still what you want isn't it?" he asked her. He couldn't help but to let his hands find her own and hold them lightly as he asked.
Leksa smiled as he took her hand. Yesterday had actually happened. Upon impulse she threw her arms around him and held him fast. Her heart pounded in her chest.
"I was so afraid yesterday had all been a dream," She pulled back to look at his face put kept hold of his shoulders. "I was afraid I'd woken up and you would be back with Regean." She blushed at the admission but didn't look away from him.
Theodore watched as Aleska smiled. It was like a chain reaction. A smile came onto his lips before he had even realized it. Relief swept over him. She was okay. Everything was okay. It was amazing the affect she was having on him.
Theo quickly held her close as she hugged him tight. "oh Aleska" he said to her in almost a whisper. As she pulled back he too kept his arms around her. "it wasn't a dream. I'm not leaving you again. I'm here" he told her. After the pain he had seen that he caused her yesterday there was no way Theo could ever abandon her again.
Aleksa couldn't help the giggle that escaped, it was almost a hysterical giggle but not quite. Laughing away her fears she continued to look into his handsome face. He wasn't leaving her, he had said. She couldn't help but feel another surge of triumph. Finally, she remembered that it was morning and her stomach seemed to punctuate that fact as it grumbled.
"Ugh. I wish we could skip over mornings all together. You ready for breakfast?" She ran another hand through her hair. She was definitely not a morning person and was at her surliest during the hours before noon. No doubt the Great Hall would be filled by now and she was sure that the mood hadn't improved much since yesterday.
Theodore started laughing as Aleska did. It was contageous and he was extremely happy to see that she had cheered up very much. He noticed the closeness between them and liked how normal it seemed to be. It was also good to see her in this good of a mood in the morning, well unless she had changed in the past four years.
He nodded as she said something about breakfast. "you know I will never argue about food" he said. Then he thought of what the mood would be in the hall. It probably wouldn't be as pleasant, the few people who had already pased through the common room this morning had proved that.
Theo turned to Aleska. He let his hand find her cheek, "okay I know its early in the morning but I don't want going into the great hall to put you in a bad mood okay" he said to her with a smile.

Seeing Ginny walk in, Harry gave her a small, tired smile before turning to Neville who had just sat down by him. He considered for a moment whether to tell the truth or say that he'd slept just fine, and he quickly decided on the former - because really, what would be the point in pretending? He shook his head. "Not really, Neville," he answered. "What about you?"
Harry again shook his head at the next question. "Not one that the Ministry hasn't already given us." Which wasn't much of a plan anyway, since they'd still have to get married even if they filed all these papers. "You're lucky though," he told Neville. "At least Luna is your friend. You two actually get along." Unlike Harry and Adriane. What was that hat thinking?

Adriane rolled her eyes slightly at her brother's behavior, but couldn't help the smile that twitched at the corners of her mouth. This was the brother she'd known for forever - not the strange person he'd been lately. And the reaction out of her had been the one she knew he was hoping for. It was that reason she managed a smirk. It was far too entertaining to keep it off her face. Sighing, she nodded in agreement with Agyness. "I don't see why they would go through all of this in the first place. Let alone make it as difficult as possible." She let out a frustrated sigh and looked to Irial.
"Have you had any luck?" she asked him, only to notice his attention was elsewhere. She followed his gaze to the Gryffindor table, and narrowed her eyes. If he wanted to play jealous because she'd glanced at Potter, she could do the same for him staring at Weasley. "Irial?" she demanded sharply.
Irial returned Draco's nod as he sat, his arm going around Adriane's waist. His eyes landed on Ginny as the red head walked in, sitting at the Gryffindor table. He didn't turn his eyes away from her until Adriane spoke. He raised his eyebrows, silently questioning the hard look in her eye. "Oh no. I haven't spoke to Flitwick yet," he admitted. He didn't allow his gaze to wander back to the Weasley, even though he was finding it more and more difficult to keep his mind off her.

Agyness nodded curtly, her eyes travelling to follow where Adriane and Irial seemed to be staring at. "I don't know why that lot looks so glum," She commented, her eyes narrowing as she stared at the filthy half-breeds, blood traitors, and the single muggleborn. "Potter should be honored to be with someone so pure of stature. So should the Weasley brat. You two," She gestured toward the couple across the table from her, "should be the more miserable than they." The bumbling boy known as Longbottom always managed to make Agyness snicker. War hero or not, he was still an ignoramus that was subject to Agyness's taunting.
Sighing, Neville began, "Just the same. I surprised you didn't hear me tossing the covers about all night long." Crossing his arms over each other on top of the polished wood of the Gryffindor table, Neville tapped his fingers ever so softly. "I know, I know," He answered, "It's just a bit odd. It's almost like medieval times, the way we're being forced into this. I'm scared to even attempt to do the separation papers."
Her heart did a funny little flip in her chest. He was always thinking about her first. Aleksa's face reddened at his touch. Sighing, she leaned into his hand. At that moment she didn't think there was anything that could dampen her mood not with Theo around. Her stomach rumbled again.
"I think I'll be okay as long as your with me." Her smile turned mischievous. "Maybe we can ever stir up some trouble while were at it. Liven up the place. What do ya think?"
Ginny sat with Harry listening to him and Neville talk about how they had slept last night. She had tossed and turned most of last night barely getting an hour or two of sleep. Her back was to the Ravenclaw table where four of her least favorite people in the world sat but she was acutely aware of Irial's presence.
Shaking her head Ginny tried to focus on what Harry and Neville were saying but her mind kept straying to a certain Ravenclaw she had the misfortune of being Paired with. For the umpteenth time in the last two days she cursed the blasted hat and the ministry that created it. Looking down at her plate she decided that she was finished. Nodding to Harry and Neville Ginny rose and turned to go.
She couldn't stop her eyes from landing on Irial. He was kinda good looking, in a full of himself egotistical way. She took in Adriane and how close the two were sitting and couldn't stop the jealousy that rose up from out of no where. Tearing her eyes away she continued out of the Great Hall and headed toward the Owlrey. She had written a letter to her family explaining what had happened. The red head mounted the stairs and looked for an owl to borrow.
Theo felt Aleska lean into his hand. he could tell by the look that she had on her face that he had already lightened her mood. He gently started stroking her cheek with his thumb. "good, because I really hate seeing you upset" he told her with a soft smile.
Then he watched as he grin changed and he could just imagine what was coming next. His own grin widened as Theodore heard Aleska's words. "let's go!" he said to her as he let his hand fall from her cheek down to her waist as he headed enthusiastically towards the portrait hole.

Harry shook his head. "I was too busy doing the same," he said, and boy was he already feeling the exhaustion creeping over him. He didn't know how he'd make it through the day with no sleep. Perhaps he could try a nap later, though he doubted he'd have much more luck getting to sleep even then. He nodded at Neville's description of the situation - it was rather medieval-like, wasn't it? "Don't be afraid of filing the papers, Neville," Harry said. "You have every right to do it if you want to."
Harry was disappointed to see Ginny get up to walk off - they hadn't even said two words to each other! - and a wave of jealousy washed over him as he saw her looking over at the Ravenclaw table, obviously at Irial Hayes who was sitting beside Adriane Malfoy. But for a split second, something odd crossed his mind. Was he jealous because Ginny was looking at Hayes or...or because Hayes was sitting so close to Adriane?
No, that was a stupid thought. Clearly he was jealous for Ginny. He didn't feel anything but loathing for Adriane; Hayes could have her if he wanted her so badly. Harry was stupid for even considering anything different.

Irial nodded silently in agreement with Agyness. She was right; Weasley should be esctatic to be Paired with himself, when he was sure so many other girls had been vying for the honor. He glanced up as the very girl left the Gryffindor table and exited the Great Hall. "I'll speak to you later, Adriane. I have something I need to do right quick," he said quickly before giving her a quick kiss and leaving after the red head.
"Oi, Weasley!" he called out to her once he'd exited, and easily caught up. A cocky half-grin was plastered on his face as he looked down at her. "So how've you been?" he asked simply. Acting like nothing had happened was sure to get on her nerves, as was his current goal.
Adriane glanced at the Gryffindor table one last time as Agyness did, her eyes narrowing at Potter. She felt nothing but pure hatred for the boy, and that wasn't likely to change. "They shouldn't be upset at all," the blonde agreed. Espcially not the Weasley brat; Irial was far too good for a little blood traitor like her. Her attention was diverted as Irial left however, before she got the chance to ask where he was going. Scanning the Gryffindor table, she found no Ginny...which most likely meant the boy had gone to follow her.
As her eyes once more alighted on Potter, she let out a sharp exhale, her mouth curling into the darkest scowl she'd worn in a long time. It was quickly becoming apparent she would not be able to simply ignore him until they'd spoken. "Excuse me for a moment. Draco, try not to get yourself hexed while I'm gone," she warned her brother before standing and making her way over to the Gryffindor table. She sat down directly across from Potter, her icy blue eyes narrowed in a glare.
"I suppose we should talk, shouldn't we?" were her only words.

Neville nodded, hoping that Luna would arrive soon. They needed to talk, and talk seriously. It was nice having Luna listen to his herbological rants and it was nice to listen to her talk about whatever popped into her head, but Neville needed to speak to her about their forced marriage. He was split: Luna was almost like a sister to him, but yet he could somehow see himself being paired for life with her. Maybe it wouldn't be so bad as long, as they acted as if they were like lifelong roommates. Sighing, he gazed after Ginny as she stormed off. "What's got her knickers in a twist?" He asked, or rather mumbled.
Agyness frowned as the couple left, leaving her alone with Draco. She knew that they both had business to take care of with their own partners, but she still wished that she could have kept more civilized company than that of Draco Malfoy. Scooting away ever so slightly, Agyness turned a placed the folder of papers on her lap. "So," She began, a rather businesslike tone to her voice, "Have you contacted your family yet? I would owl my parents, but they don't have as many connections to the Ministry as your family does." Slipping the papers from the folder, she placed them on the table and began flipping through them, reading the fine print rather thoroughly.
