He watched as Ron returned a stolen candle holder to the table. Is he a thief? Draco thought with disgust. Probably he is as poor as he was back in Hogwarts. "I don't know them personally, but I heard of them." Draco replied casualy, making himself seem important. "I know Weasley since school, and we are still enemies. Our families didn't acossiate together since the 1400s." Suddenly, Draco heard a loud thunder. Looking through the window, he saw thick clouds above the manor. The rain didn't fall yet. "Strange, indeed." he commented. "The sky was clear when I arrived." Something was very wrong here. |
Sienna recognized a veela when she saw one; she attended Beauxbatons with so many, it was unnerving. Well, since Dietrich had gone off into a conversation with the pale man, and the brunette woman who had just entered had approached the thief, she decided to approach the veela. Everyone else was in couplets, so why not them? Sienna stood up and smoothed out her yellow dress, her red heels click-clacking on the polished floor as she crossed the room. "Hello," Sienna spoke, flashing a red-lipped, pearly white smile and hoping not to catch the woman off guard. "I've decided to introduce myself, since our gracious host hasn't done it yet. I'm Sienna." She stuck out her hand in greeting. |
Landing just shy of the door Harry dismounted his broom and looked around. Scanning the tree line and the house for potential danger, he took in the layout of the grounds and the house. Smirking, Harry shook his head. Not too shabby. Stowing his broom in his pocket, enchanted of course, he flipped up the collar on his leather jacket and ran a hand over his face. He hadn't shaved and was probably looking a little scruffy, but what did he care. He probably wasn't going to know anyone in there, so what was the difference? Shrugging, he ran a hand through his shaggy hair checking his reflection in a nearby window. His eyes caught movement and he stood their for a second staring at those inside. Interesting. He was about to knock on the door when the click clacking of heels sounded on the walkway behind him. Sauntering up the walkway, blonde wavy hair swinging softly behind her, Sonja Lockwood made her way up to the house. Glancing up at the mansion she couldn't help the smile that came to her face. Deitrich was of course civilized company and this party was an essential part of her rounds amoung the aristocracy. Just outside the light in the doorway, she paused to make one last check of herself. Tonight she had chosen a red cocktail dress that swung around her knees beautifully, allowing her matching heels to accentuate her long legs and great figure. Her blonde hair was left down and in soft waves given free reign down her back. Long thick lashes framed eyes the color of topaz that fit within a perfectly round face. Perfect. She would expect nothing less of herself. She had chosen this outfit and this look specifically. The combination of outfit, hair, and just the right amount of makeup gave her the look she was going for. Everything about her screamed money, sophistication, and power. Over the years she had carefully cultivated her smooth, savvy persona and she wore it like a second skin. She was a force to be reckoned with. Satisfied, she walked the remaining distance to the door. Of course she noticed that someone was waiting at the door and she couldn't help but smirk. Eyebrows raised she brushed passed him without a second glance and walked right through the door as if she owned the place. Harry couldn't quit staring. She was gorgeous and completely out of his league. Shaking his head to clear the cobwebs, he stalked in after her. He didn't know who she was, but she had an air of authority that he couldn't help but admire. |

Merlin! Another surprise. Girls usually avoided her. But Aurora was not going to let this oppurtunity pass her by. "Hello Sienna, I am Aurora Snow." She smiled at the girl briefly before turning to see the new arrivals... She shook her head at the woman who entered.. really she was trying to hard. She had a look of money and power.. but Aurora did not buy it. Her gaze moved to the man who had entered.. Was he..... mmmmm he was.. Harry Potter was in their midst. How interesting... |
Sienna forced her smile to continue as the veela, now known as Aurora, promptly turned to set her eyes on the new arrivals. "Typical veela," She moodily thought, a stream of French curse words running through her mind. She noticed Aurora's purple gaze land on Harry Potter. The Boy, or now rather the Man, Who Lived. A smirk crossed her face. She had briefly chatted with him once, many years before during the Triwizard Tournament. She had come to Hogwarts with Beauxbatons and had witnessed the rollercoaster of a year unfurl. "So," She began, her words directed to Aurora but her gaze landing on Harry as she spoke, "How do you know Mr. Flamel?" |

She pondered Sienna's words for a few moments before responding.. "Well, I don't really know him at all actually. I am sure my parents garnered this invitation for me. Yet another one of their ploys to get me to marry well. Dietrich Flamel, now there is a catch.." Aurora sighed and shook her head. "They should see me now, shunned by their "proposed husband."" She absentmindedly twirled a lock of her white blonde hair around her finger, her thoughts whirling in her head. So she was a veela, so what? In this day and age, that did nothing.. "How do you know him?" She queried, trying to retain a semblance of happiness. |
Hermione sipped on her cocktail, almost choking at the sweetness. She made her way to the two women talking, and sat down near them. "Hello there...Mind if I join in the conversation?" She asked. |
Narrator: The guests gradually arrived, and it makes me wonder what they'd think if they knew their purpose, or if they knew of the storm to come. In fact, I'd really love to know. Muggle forecasts say the storm is going to be one for the ages, but don't panic, just be prepared to go down to the basements. Ministry officials are perplexed as it seems to be a magical storm of some sort. Too bad the partiers are too busy to have gotten the memo.... Quote:

Ron approached with a somewhat sour look on his face, his hands pressed deep into his trouser pockets and his shoulders somewhat hunched. He didn't offer a hand, just gave Draco Malfoy a measured, reproachful look. "Prat," he greeted without even the faintest look of shame. Dietrich nodded at Ron. "Glad to see you two are hitting it off so soon. And I have come to hear that you and Hermione Granger haven't spoken in quite some time. Where is Hermione? Ah! Hermione, why don't you come over here and talk to a few old Hogwarts students? They were in the same year as you! And, where is Harry Potter? Harry! Do come over. In fact, everyone come over. Let's all have a chat. We'll play a game of sorts. Come now. Get in a large circle. We'll go one by one and we can name one thing we've done since school and one thing we remember from school. If you attended Hogwarts, name your house, if you didn't, name your school. We'll start with me, then Draco, Hermione, Ron, Harry, Aurora, Sienna, and Sonja." He cleared his throat. "Well, as you know, I'm Dietrich Flamel. I went to Hogwarts, was in the house of Slytherin, and while there I raided the kitchens and threw some parties that some of you may or may not have known about. Injuries occurred, and I was once sent to the hospital wing for a week after being dared to eat a few questionable candies that I think may have been Ron's brothers', Fred and George, initial experiments. Since then I've done a whole lot of nothing. Some parties, some experiments, and a whole lot of secrets in my basement that the lot of you may or may not get to see." There was a slight maniacal edge to his eye as he grinned at them. Finally, he clapped his hands and indicated for Draco to continue. |

Draco smirked when Dietrich announced that game. He was going to taunt the Gryffindors one more time, and that was going to be entertaining. "As some of you know, I am Draco Malfoy. I attended Hogwarts school and was sorted into Slytherin. I always insulted other sudrnts, especially those in Gryffindor." his smirk widened. "I joined the Order of the Phoenix after my sixth year. I did many things after the war, like attending parties and donating to anti-thief organisations." He looked at Weasley. He was sure he was a thief, so exposing his secret won't be too bad. OOC: I'm sorry if I have mistakes, it's nighttime and I'm sleepy... =\ |
Sienna gave a warm smile to the brunette as she approached, but then quickly swung over to join the circle by Dietrich. She began after taking a slow breath, it was her turn. "For those of you who don't know me, I'm Sienna Blake; Si for short. I attended Beauxbatons, and after graduation I lived in Paris and studied alchemy." After this sentence, her eyes flashed over to Dietrich. It was true that he was odd, but she had a feeling that he knew much more information about her than she had cared to reveal. It gave her slight chills. Those Flamels, strange bunch. "I later came back to England, and now I work as an alchemist and-" Sienna stopped short and a bright shade of pink crept up her cheeks. "Oops, that wasn't my turn, was it? Sorry." She gave into an embarrassed silence, her chocolate eyes casting towards the polished floor. Nice way to start off meeting new folk, She sarcastically thought, They probably think I'm a bossy, pushy twit now. |
After Sienna finished, Hermione took a breath and went up. "Hello everyone...My name is Hermione and I attended Hogwarts with my best friends Harry, Ron, and Ginny." She took a gasp of air. "After graduation, I made the mistake to go with Viktor Krum, that git- and came back to London to...design new robes for witches." She looked around. "I was in Gryffindor, and was a Bookworm. But people can change." Her gaze travelled to Draco Malfoy and she blushed. |
Quote:
So it was obvious he got shocked when she admitted that she was a robe designer. But the real surprise was when she looked at him and..blushed? Draco raised an eyebrow at her questionably. He got really confused in these couple of seconds. That dress robe looks good on her, actually. A little thought ran through his head, but he ignored it. If she was a robe designer, it was obvious she would wear the best robe, right? |
*Sigh* Hermione took a deep breath after she had finished and sat down, drinking the cocktail very quickly, almost choking on it. 'At least he does look nice today.' She thought was she gazed on his hair, his eyes, and his face. Humph. Get out of it, Hermione Granger. Now. |
Sienna noticed the nonverbal exchange between Hermione and Draco. Si had known Dietrich to be a little prankster and plot-hatcher, but match-maker too? She couldn't help but snort a little. So whom for Sienna? Would he pair her with someone silly, like one of the waitering house elves? |

Narrator: For all those who may not know: Dietrich is a psychological trickster. If you haven't grasped this by now, please immediately check yourself into a St. Mungo's ward, because OBVIOUSLY his behavior is NOT NORMAL. Pfft. Oh, and the storm is growing worse, clouds swirling into a dark abyss lit up by an electrical impulse of lightning every so often, and all that jazz. If one were to stand outside, they were realize that the glows of lightning looked almost like....heartbeats.... Quote:

Sienna stiffened, keeping her smile warm but the rest of her body tensing as her commented on her little speech. She still didn't have to nerve to speak after Dietrich had commented on Hermione's dress. She took a breath: He doesn't know, he couldn't know... he shouldn't know. He just made a comment, a relatively prophetic one, one that gave her chills up her spine. "So," She addressed the ones who had not introduced themselves as of yet, "You are...?" |

"I don't think Weasley will agree with you." Draco said without telling his opinion. His jaw hanged open when Dietrich said the comment about Granger's dress. How..How did he know? he thought with shock. Something really wasn't right here. "She's a robes designer, so it's obvious she'll wear a good and expensive robe." he replied as calmly as he could, but he wasn't very succesful. Especially when he stared at her robe while he said it with a strange twinkle in his eye. |
Hermione blushed. "Thank you, Dietrich." She almost gritted through her teeth. "And, I still check up on SPEW, thank you very much." She smiled forcefully. "I shall take that as a compliment, Mal-Draco." She stuttered. "Glad you think so." |
Aurora looked around at everything happening. Hermione and Draco? Who would have guessed. She had heard their history, and knew that they had been bitter enemies. Guess time changes everything. She sighed as she looked around, it wasn't her turn yet to go, it was Ron's... but it didn't seem like the theif felt like spilling his guts. She turned her eyes to the window, shivering a little at the storm that was gathering outside. It seemed to be gaining in ferocity. She looked around at the gathering of people and sighed. There would be no one for her today. Her parents would be sorely disappointed about it. In fact she was too. She was being ignored. Something that NEVER happened to her. "Well I guess I can go." She said softly. "My name is Aurora Snow, and I attended Beauxbatons until I was sixteen, then I attended Hogwarts for my last two years, I was in Slytherin." She said softly, looking around. " I was very popular with Slytherin boys, and after school, I returned home to do what my parents told me to do." She bit the inside of her lip as she remembered what her older sister had done. It looked like that would become her future as well. |
OOC:I think we need more guys ._. Quote:
The sound of his name woke him up from his childish thoughts. He looked up, and saw that Hermione already finished her sentence. He had no idea what she said, so he just nodded. Quote:

OOC: We sure do. Harry, the other made-up girl, and (I think) Ron have disappeared. I don't want this RP to die! Sienna scanned the group, seeing that the theif and Harry Potter did not want to speak. Their reputation seemed to precede their introductions. Of course, Harry had no need for explanation; everyone knew his story. As for the theif, enough said. Once a criminal, always a criminal. Sienna subconsciously tugged at her diamond earrings protectively. She had previous experience of having her things stolen and was not exactly hoping for it to happen again. Of course, Sienna had stolen things in the past, too. But let's not get into that story just yet. |
Harry had only been paying half attention as everyone seemed inclined to introduce themselves and such. He, himself, didn't care to join in with this little quaint pow-ow. He wasn't even sure why he was here but he wasn't going to complain. His plate was full of the delicious food that was on the table, he couldn't remember the last time he had a full meal. Sighing, he glanced around waiting for someone else to drone on about there life story. Momentarily he thought about jumping back on his broom and blowing this dismal place but the storm clouds outside were preventing that. Might wait it out and see if it passes. Rubbing the stubble on his chin, Harry reclines back against a wall and continues watching everyone interact. Sonja stood off in a corner watching the interplay between these meaningless people. They actually thought introducing themselves was appropriate! What a shame. Of course she needed no introduction for everyone here knew who she was, though if they didn't they should. With everything her family had ever worked for and the influence she had on the wizarding world she was a force to be reckoned with. If they couldn't see that then they were blind. |
Sienna inwardly sighed. This magical night was starting to become... well, magically boring. Dietrich usually threw way better parties than these. She took a manicured hand to sweep the brunette bangs from her face as she surveyed the glum group. She sighed, once again. Couldn't Dietrich have invited some more... oh, personable, well-known folk? Of course, there was Harry Potter, but he didn't really seemed interested in anything except for the marble floor. Sienna bent down to adjust the straps on her red pumps, and then sat back up in her chair. "Dietrich, do you-?" She stopped herself and began to rephrase, "I'm heading to the ladies' room." And with that and the clutching of her handbag to her side, although jumping at the loud roar of thunder, she composed herself. Si smoothed out the creases of her gold dress, rose, and began click-clacking her way across the rather large room. She made her way up the staircase, all the while thinking that if she couldn't find the bathroom, she'd have a ball looking through all of the rooms and snooping around. Maybe digging into the Flamel's famed supply of liquor. Some people never change, now do they? OOC: Don't die, RP. :( |
