Cass nodded. She really wanted to change the subject here. "Well..." she said, thinking about what to do. She bit on her bottom lip. "Shall I...show you around...?" she asked hesitantly.

Bradin smiled. "That would be a good idea" he replied.

Cass smiled and rubbed her neck. "Well, obviously that's the kitchen" she said, waving at the room they had been in. She looked behind her as she started walking backwards. "This is the most loved room, but I don't know why. The living room, which my silly father has decided to inhabit until I give him his room back" she giggled, ignoring her father's glare.

"Which will be, like, never" Anna said, sighing as she squeezed past Cass. "For someone so small, you take up a lot of room in this hallway" she commented,, walking by with an armful of laundry.

Cass stuck her tongue out at her aunt's back.

Cass smiled. "My father's, it's upstairs. Stairs that I don't trust anymore since I fell through one the other day" she rubbed her neck again. She started walking again, making sure she didn't trip over anything. "These are the stairs..." she said, looking at them warily.

Cass led them upstairs to the long corridor, adorned with different photos. "This is probably the weirdest part of the house, I'm serious. This side is all Spanish and this side is all American. It's weird" she rambled.

Bradin raised an eyebrow. "Probably needs some oil or something on it" he said. How was it he knew what a stuck door needed? DIY really wasn't his thing.

Cass shrugged. "Maybe...that's another thing needed around here. New doors..." she grumbled, summoning her list and scribbling down doors on it with a spare pen.

Bradin raised an eyebrow. "Seems there's a lot to be done in this place" he replied.

Cass nodded. "There is. There's just nothing that can be done about most of it. Like the library..." she nodded, and shuddered. She hated books, to be honest.

Cass smiled. "I hope so...I mean, it's kinda ragged in there, if you wanna take a look for yourself..." she said, reaching up on her tiptoes to grab the set of keys put up high just so Anna couldn't get to them.

Bradin nodded and took the keys off Cass. He unlocked the door and walked in the library. "And you think nothing can be done in here?" he asked.

Cass looked at Adam and smiled a little before surveying the room. "All the furniture has to be replaced, the mice seriously got to it, the room needs a fresh coat of paint...what else...the books need to be updated..."
