Ad rubbed the back of her head. "Same as always" she muttered. She looked at Adam. "Sorry. It won't happen again" she promised. Like anyone would believe her.

Adam looked at Ad, the fright causing him to shake. It wasn't very often this happened but violence was something he always got frightened of when he witnessed it. It wasn't his fault he had a huge fear of it. "O-o-okay"

Bradin looked at Adam and put his hand on his shoulder. "Why don't you go outside with Mikey for a little while and calm yourself down" he suggested.

Ad slid to the floor, hands in her hair. "Why....? Why must I always do this?" she asked angrily, looking up.

Bradin looked at Ad. "Do what?" he asked.

Ad looked blankly at Bradin. "I caused all this crap to happen, didn't I? All because of me dropping out of school" she said. And she did not want to hear any more of it.

Bradin nodded. "We only gave you advice and you threw it back at us"

Ad nodded, quiet, for once. She looked up at Bradin and Justin. "This is one of those times where sorry doesn't cut it, right?" she said softly.

Bradin bit the inside of his lip and nodded. "You would be correct"

Ad's shoulders slumped a little. "Yeah" she said. She felt like an idiot now, for sure. "Listen, I'm sorry, okay. I lost my temper, and I regret that" she said, standing up, getting ready to leave.

Bradin raised an eyebrow. "Not me you should be apologising to"

Ad blinked. She knew that full well. "She's not gonna listen" Ad said quietly, walking towards the door. "She'd be happy if I left anyway"

Bradin shrugged. "Up to you"

Ad sighed and walked out, closing the door behind her with a soft click. She was done. With everything. Just done.

At least the rain had stopped.

Cass stood at her sliding door to her balcony and watched Ad walk away as stray water droplets slid down the glass. Cass sighed and picked up her wand, flicking it to straighten her hair, pulling it into a high side ponytail. She glanced in the full length mirror and descended the steps two by two, thankful Ad had gone. "What made her leave?" she asked quietly.

Bradin looked at Cass. "Didn't think you wanted her here"

Cass sighed. "I'm not gonna lie and say that's not true. It it isn't true either" she said honestly. Made no sense.

Bradin gave Cass a confused look. "Huh?"

Cass sighed. "I don't want her here, but I didn't exactly want her to leave at the same time"

Bradin sighed. "I guess being an empath has it's privileges"

Cass nodded. "That's why she's always worked up, though. She's getting angry, but it's not her own feelings, so she bursts. That much I can stand up for her for" she said.

Bradin narrowed his eyes. "So why doesn't she just block everyone else's emotions out?"

Cass shook her head. "She can't. Or, at least, she hasn't figured out how. She has to literally be in a metal room to only feel her own emotions, and even then, emotions could still seep through to her"

Bradin shrugged. "She'll feel better once she's got the hang of it" he replied hopeful.

Cass nodded. "She will. She just needs to figure out how to put a harness on everything" Cass nodded.

Bradin nodded in agreement. "Literally, everything"

Cass nodded. She really wanted to change the subject here. "Well..." she said, thinking about what to do. She bit on her bottom lip. "Shall I...show you around...?" she asked hesitantly.
