Nestled in London sits a cozy little house, the home of Jory Stonewall and Ronnie Hawkins.
Inside you will find an entrance hall with a closet where you can put away your shoes and hang your coat. To the right is a bathroom and a hallway that leads to the kitchen (which has a door that leads out to the backyard). To the left is a hall that leads to the master and guest bedrooms. If you walk straight forward, you will find yourself in the living room.

She had done so much for him especially on those days when he would come home practically ready to collapse from exhaustion. "August sounds good. Perfect weather...'' He trailed off, a thought occurring to him. "An outdoor wedding?'' That seemed like a great idea to him. He always loved the outdoors so why not?
"Yes, I am sure Gwen would love to pitch in,'' Jory said with a bit of a laugh as he spooned steaming tomato into a bowl. Gwen was his best friend and he really did miss the girl whom he had once thought had hated him. "I can see her turning her face up at the thought of you wanting to marry me." Gwen had not been one of those persons who fancied anything to do with love. "Alyssa on the other hand, I can see her planning everything by herself.'' His 'twin' as he and the other Hufflepuff girl had often referred to each other, was the hardworking type that would not stop until verything was perfect. He needed to owl those two girls.
Jory set the bowl before Ronnie. "Dinner is served, my lady.'' But he could see that Ronnie really liked his idea of their mothers planning the whole thing. "I hope they don't have arguments,'' he said, now setting down his own bowlful of soup. His mom could be a tad bossy but decorating was really her thing so he couldn't think of anyone better. The man really could picture a scene between the two women having it out because they disagreed about the colour of tablecloths or something. "We'll have to ask them first.'' He was sure they would say yes though.
Ronnie nodded in agreement. "I was thinking that exact thing. An outdoor wedding would be absolutely beautiful." She sighed, glancing out the window at their backyard. Ronnie loved being outside... it was why she was in the department she was in, after all. "So, August it is then?" She smiled when she said this, getting more and more excited as they planned. She just couldn't believe it was already happening! She ought to go out and get her dress soon, then. Her heart leapt at the thought.
"Oh yeah, of course!" Ronnie agreed, finishing off her sandwich. She hadn't seen Gwen since...well...Hogwarts! And that was years ago. Merlin's beard, time really flies. Chuckling, she nodded. "I'm sure we'll have lots of good help." She said. They had such good friends from Hogwarts, and it'd be so great to have them come back for their wedding and catch up a bit. Ronnie was always curious about what her friends had decided to do after school.
Smiling as Jory set the soup in front of her, she stood to give him a kiss on the cheek. "Thank you!" She said as she sat back down. "You make a cute waiter by the way." She added with a wink before she took a spoonfull of soup and blew a little on it to cool it before bringing it to her lips. Swallowing, she shrugged at Jory's comment. "My mum's pretty easy going...besides, she'll probably take care of the food bit I'm guessing. I'd like to just have your mum decorate." She laughed. Her mother was always such a good cook and knew just what to make for things like this. She was sure her mother would try and help decorate a little bit, though. She knew she would want it to be absolutely perfect!

Jory smiled. He knew Ronnie would go for the outdoors wedding. She loved being outside as much as he did. "It's definitely August. It seems so far away, doesn't it?'' But with all the preparations they would need to do, time would go by really quickly. He would need to go hunting for a suit. He could probably drag Simon to help him do that.
"I'll just throw back then and wait to get married to you,'' Jory said lightly, referring to the fact that they would have lots of help. But only if that were him and it clearly was not because he had to to have a major part of the planning. He wanted to be involved.
Jory returned the kiss but on the tip of Ronnie's nose instead of the cheek. "It's my pleasure making the lady dinner.'' He laughed. "Thank you. You're the most adorable customer I've ever had.'' Jory pulled his seat closer to Ronnie to sit. "We can probably ask them tomorrow,'' he continued as he dunked his sandwich into the soup before taking a healthy bite.

Smiling, she nodded. It did seem far away..she wished the wedding could just happen now. Or tomorrow. Or just sooner than August. But there was planning they still had to do, and invites to send. So much to do.
She chuckled at what he said and beamed when he kissed her on the nose. Giggling, she smiled. "Oh, really?" She asked. Most adorable customer. Heh. As he pulled a chair beside her, she scooted to lean her head on his shoulder. "Yeah, it's actually been a while since I owled or called my mum now that I think of it." She thought outloud. She was sure her mother would be excited to be talking about the wedding!

"Your soup is getting cold,'' Jory scolded Ronnie lightly but not really minding the fact that she rested her head against him. He held out a piece of his sandwich before her. He was going to feed her if she didn't want to eat.
"You've been busy with other things so I'm sure she would not mind,'' the man reasoned. This was true. Ronnie had been busy with work and taking care of their new house. "Who do you want to be your maid of honour?" he asked curiously.

"What soup?" Ronnie joked, snuggling into him. She didn't care if it got cold, she could re-heat it later when she was done snuggling her Jory. She then laughed as he held the sandwich out for her and she took a bite. "Thanks." She said after swallowing with another laugh.
The red head nodded. "True," she replied, sitting up when he asked about the maid of honor. Oh jeez. Ronnie sighed, trying to think. "Perhaps Jazz..." she mused.

Jory laughed. Ronnie could be so cute. Then again, he always thought she was cute no matter what she did. "If you don't want to have it, it will only mean more for me,'' he teased. He held another bit of sandwich for her. She was hungry even though she was using him as a snuggle bunny right now.
"Jazzy? As in Jazzy Jazz from Accidents and Catastrophes? I met her earlier when the Ministry re-opened this year and she told me she knew you.'' It had to be the same person. the Maid of Honour thought got Jory thinking about the best man. "Gwen would have made a nice best man.'' Jory smiled at the thought of the girl in a suit as if that would actually happen. Gwen was too feminine to dress like a guy.

Ronnie giggled and slowly sat up and finished up her soup and sandwich. As soon as she had done so, the red head went back to snuggling Jory. She burried her face into his chest and sighed, smiling into his shirt. She always loved a good cuddle with her lovely Jory. He was like a lil' snuggly bear!
She nodded, chuckling when he said Jazzy Jazz. Huh. She had never personally called her that, but it was a good nickname. "Yeah, we're good friends!" She told him, chuckling when he talked about Gwen being best man. "Hmm, maaaybe...something sounds a bit off about her being best man, though. I can't quite put my finger on it, though." She joked, standing from her seat and taking his hand. "Wanna talk more on the couch?" 'Cause she'd prefer to snuggle and chat on a couch rather than the chairs at the table.

Jory had a watchful eye over Ronnie to make sure she finished all of her food. She had a healthy appetite so he had nothing to worry about. But then he was back to being a snuggle bunny.
Nicknames were something Jory rarely did. "She recognised me when I was over at Accidents and Catatrophes a few months ago. She said you showed her my photo. She would be a great choice for Maid of Honour.'' He laughed. "Yeah, neither can I.''
He finished off his own food and stood up when Ronnie suggested that they talk on the couch. "Sure.'' He had all the time in the world right now to spend with his Ronnie. Leaving all the dishes on the table- those could be taken care of later, he held Ronnie's hand and followed her to the living room.

Ronnie smiled, nodding. Jazz was an awesome friend and she couldn't imagine anyone else being her maid of honor and she was sure Jazz would be excited.
Once they were on the couch, she curled up beside him and rested her head on his shoulder. "So, when should we talk to our mums about all this?" She went on, reaching over to hold his hand in hers.

Jory sat close to Ronnie on the couch, one of his hands holding one of hers. He was absently tracing his thumb over her palm. "Tomorrow,'' he said promptly. Despite them having a small wedding, there would still be a lot to do and every second counted. "I'll talk to mine the first thing in the morning.'' Although it was still early right then, he wasn't in the mood to pick up the phone and call her. He just wanted to spend time with his Ronnie.

Heather gave a light knock at Ronnie and Jory's door, hoping she had the right address. She looked down at the slip of paper where she had quickly jotted down the address as Ronnie had spoken it to her over the phone and she hoped she hadn't spelled anything wrong or misheard something. She looked up as the door opened and gave a small sigh of relief at the sight of Ronnie.
"Hey, Heather, it's so good to see you." Ronnie smiled, pulling her into a hug. It had been a while since she had seen her and she had missed her... "Come in, come in! Jory's just inside." She beamed, leading Heather inside.

Unknowing to Samantha Stonewall, she had arrived only minutes after Heather. At that exact moment, Jory was settling back down after greeting their first arrival. It was not the first time she had been to her son's and future daughter-in-law's house, having come over to offer some decorating tips a few times before. Having parked her car in front of the house, the woman strolled briskly up to the house and pushed the door bell. "That'll be mom,'' Jory said upon hearing the door bell. Excusing himself, he headed for the door. "Hi, mom.'' He kissed her on the cheek, his eyes scanning the yard behind her. "Didn't Grace come?'' he asked, very crestfallen that his sister had decided not to show up despite all the excitement going on.
"Jory, you know how busy she is. She has football practice this afternoon.'' Samantha was very proud of both of her children and it hurt her that Grace had pulled away from Jory over the years. "She will be along if her practice is over early.'' She smiled and squeezed her son's arm. "There are other things to concentrate on. Where's Ronnie?"
Jory said nothing more about Grace. He was all about to give up on her ever being close to him again. He knew her practice was just a stupid excuse to avoid him and that she would not being coming over. Hiding his annoyance and dejection, he ushered his mom towards the living room. "Look who's here!'' he announced to Ronnie and Heather.

Ronnie looked up as Jory returned with his mother and she smiled, waving. "Hi Samantha!" She greeted, looking to Heather who was also smiling at Jory's mother.
"Well, I ought to make us some tea, yeah? You can all get settled, I'll be right back." Ronnie added before standing and heading to the kitchen.

Jory was left with the moms. Luckily for him, the two ladies got along well. He wondered if Ronnie needed help in the kitchen but then he decided to stay and keep the two women company. It was safe to say he was wondering what ideas they had come up with for the wedding. With all the Hufflepuff patience he could muster, the Auror resisted the urge to ask them any questions. It seemed they had quite a bit to catch up on and in any case, he was still brooding about his sister not showing up.
"How are you, Heather? Can you believe our kids are getting married?'' Samantha laughed softly. "It seems it was just the other day Jory was running around in a diaper chasing birds in the backyard.'' She paused to laugh again. "I've been telling him to propose to her about two yeas ago but he wanted to complete his training first.''

"I'm good, thank you," Heather replied with a smile. "How about yourself?" She asked, giving a laugh and nod of understanding when she said their kids were getting married. She sighed, glancing behind her towards the hallway to the kitchen where Ronnie was making tea. She turned her attention back to Samantha and sighed. "It's crazy." She thought aloud, smiling at the thought of baby Jory chasing birds. That was cute. She herself wasn't around when Ronnie was in diapers, having adopted her when she was attending Hogwarts. And, now that she thought of it, she didn't think she'd ever seen pictures of baby Ronnie.

"I'm well, too. It's been busy the last few days for me.'' It was true. Suddenly everyone seemed want to redecorate their hoes. Samantha was not complaining because she loved her work but combined with that and the lives of her husband and daughter, she was tired. But she would put that aside for son's wedding. Yes, she was going to have this done to perfection.
So, Sam got right down to business. She had not missed Jory's current mood. She felt it more before she actually noticed his distant expression. Some might call that a mother's intuition. Sam was not going to let her son be like that on this happy occasion and she made a mental not to have another stern talk with Grace. "Jory, have you and Ronnie decided on the colour scheme you two would like for the wedding?'' she asked.
But Jory was much too lost in thoughts to hear his mother's question. It wasn't until he realised that the chattering between the two women had stopped and they were looking at him, did he really snap out of it. "Sorry. Did you say something mom?" His mother repeated the question. "I do want blue in there but I don't know what colour Ronnie wants.'' Was she still in the kitchen? "Ronnie?"
