"You are right, of course." She said smiling gently at him. SHe was grateful to him, and it showed in expression. "Too bad we didn't grab pillows she said jokingly. She grabbed her back pack and squished it up so that it would be somewhat comfortable. she curled up on the ground next to where he was sitting, and closed her eyes. Everylittle sound she would jump and open her eyes. "Man I am jumpy." She said sighing. She closed her eyes and took deep breaths, and tried to focus on nothing like her mother had shown her to get rid of the nightmares so many years before.

tom smiled"yeah to bad"he said whatching her curl up into the ball and turned and looked out the porthole.when she spoke he looked round"you dont have to if anything i'll wake you right away"he said smiling and looking out the port hole thinking

Tiffany smiled up at him appreciativly. Knowing that he would wake her if anything happened was comforting enough that she felt herself relaxing and begining to doze off. "I'm glad that I met you." She murmered as she drifted to sleep. a small smile on her face.

tom smiled back and looked out the port hole"i'm glad i met you too"he said smiling slightly and unscrewing the lid on his drink and taking a sip,replacing the top he looked back out the port hole and begain to hum quitly so not to wake tiffany

Rose tried to open the door to the room at the end of the hallway it was locked so she kicked it open. She had looked all over the ship for a room they could stay in they were all too small for a company like theres. The room was big enough for them but it smelled like no had been there in a really long time making her way in the dark room she opened one of the port holes and did the same for the other three, there was something diffrent about them, these portholes were huge, once the room was properly lit Rose looked back at the room her mouth fell open "what in the world..." the room was covered in dust but therewere drawings on the floor and wierd writing all over the walls, in the far cornr there was what looked odly like a bunch of metal. Rose made her way towards the pile, what she had mistaken for a bunch of metal was actually a strange casket, who or what could be inside she thought. Just as she was about to leave the dor slamed shut and the port holes sealed them selves again. Rose couldnt move "hello" she said

"what do ye want" said a deep voice in the dark

"I seek a way to move away from these waters" Rose answered sounding braver then she felt

"Ye are doomed to remain in these waters until your end comes." the voice replied as if bored, as though everyday all it did was answer questions of mortals like herself

"I only seek a way out of here and nothing more maybe we can come to terms or possibly a bargain and you would help us go far from here," Rose said hoping this would work, it was thier last and only chance.

"a bargain you say then let see alright heres the deal" the voice was now by her ear it whispered the terms

"and if I agree all the others will be allowed to leave unharmed," Rose asked when he was finished

"you have my word," he replied

"its a deal then," Rose said with a sigh

instead of an answer or a hand shake the voice luaghed with joy and the door and portholes opened as though they had never been closed the room was back to its normal bearings except fthe floors and th walls no longer had any inscriptions, Rose sighed relising what hse had just agreed to she closed her eyes and hoped her family would forgive her. Upon opening her eyes she saw throught the porthole wisps fo fog creeping around the ship, running to the cafe "Tom Tiffany, come on gather everyone else and follow me," she said waking Tiffany up and leading them back to the room she was in.

Tiffany was having a strange dream. Her dream was surrounded in Fog, and she could hear voices, but they were indistinct. The harder she strained to hear them, the farther away they sounded. In her sleep she began to frown as in her dream she struggled to find the voices.

Suddenly she felt her self being shook awake

"Tom Tiffany, come on gather everyone else and follow me," she heard Rose wake her.

Still groggy, but completly terrified she looked at Tom, wondering what had happened as she followed Rose to a new room. On their way she could see the fog whisping in around the ship, and every step of the way she was more and more certain that something bad was about to happen. When they finally got to the room without incident, she began to relax a little bit. Reaching out for his arm, she asked Tom, "Do you know what is going on?" The fear was apparant on her face and there was a slight quiver to her voice.

tom looked down at tiffany then looked up as rose can in,at her vioce he herad someone stirring behind him and looked round tiffany had woken up and was standing,he stood up and followed rose as well.When they entered the new room he looked round and then out a port hole and saw the fog was around the ship and looked at tiffany when she spoke"well by my guess the spirts are moving so i guess we are too"he said looking at her knowing she was scared"dont worry,we'll be fine"after tom said this he thought whether he believed this

Giving him a small smile, she , attempting to be brave, said, "I know, it is just frightening not knowing what exactly is going on." She sighed. "At least we are out of the coffee shop, she said with a small smile. Looking around the room, she couldn't see anything distinguishing about it except that larger portholes. Looking out one of them, she could see the bank of the fog getting closer. "Has it really been a day and a half?" She asked thinking out loud, wondering if someone had lied. She walked back over to Tom and smiled at him, "Thank you for watching me while I slept." She said appreciativly.

"we maby out of the coffee shop,but....."he stopped himself half way through the sentance and just smiled slightly at her and followed her look out the port hole as well"i guess,but yeah someone could of lied"he said shrugging as she came back over"it was nothing,i know you would do the same for me"he said smiling

Tiffany noticed that Tom caught homself and did not finish his sentence, She had a feeling that she knew what he was going to say, but put the thought out of her head for the moment. She smiled at him, grateful for everything that he had done for her, not being able to resist the urge, she reached over and gave him a hug. "Thank you." she whispered. Blushing at her outburst, she let go and looked down, her cheeks on fire.

tom smiled and returned the hug and looked at her and knew she was blushing,tom thought that he should change the subject"ummm so do you want to do anything before you get a job or something like that,you know travel,skydive that sort of thing"he said leaning back agaist the wall and sliding down it to the floor

Tiffany looked up and smiled at Tom, "Yeah actually, I think that I do. I would really like to travel, you know, see the world. My whole life I have been in one place for the most part, I want to see everything, you, know, while I still can. This trip is nice, all things considered of course, becuase I am getting to see new places, and now I know not to com here again." She said laughing. "What about you?" She asked him.

tom smiled"i've already had some traverling one of my grandfathers experditons"he said smiling"yeah but what i really want to do is to scale one of the worlds famous mountains,be a good test of will and stamia"he said smiling"but if i do the job i want i'll get to travel even more"he said looking out the port hole at the fog

"That would be most exciting." Tiffany said truthfully. Which one would you want to climb?" She asked him. "Mount Killomanjaro or Mount Everest? They are supposed to be the two highest mountains in the world, and change depending on which one is higher certain years." She asked him interestedly.

"i dunno,i was thinking start with smaller mountains and bulid up,like start at ben nevis in england and try to get to mount everest,i think i might set that as my goal climb mount everest"he said smiling at her"are you going to try and set a goal like reach every capital in the world"he said looking out at the fog once more then back at her

Rose locked the room once everyone was inside 'as long as you guys stay in here you will be safe," she said to everyone "now theres food in that closet which doubles as a fridge, and solve this riddle:
I have a face but cannot see, or smell or speak
I show you what passes but never returns
my arms you shall fear very soon
you have to try and figure it out while i finish reading the book cause according to it thats where we will find the first of thirteen keys to open the cascket" she said pointing at the cascket in the far end as if waiting for her to pint her fingure the room darkned and tourches along the wall burst into flame as if on cue.

"I think that would be an great goal!"Tiffany said smiling gleefully. "I hadn't thought of that, all the capitals in the world!" SHe smiled as she thought of the possibilities "I think if you worked at it and trained that you could climb Mount Everst" Tiffany said "You are strong so it wouldn't be too hard." SHe said moitioning to his arm muscles.

She turned as Rose came in and locked the door behind them, she felt a breaf moment of panic, but then she relaxed abit. She listened to the riddle that Rose gave them. thinking about it for a second she said, "wouldn't that be a clock?" she asked Rose, "All of the clues fit."

tom smiled"i think i might need a bit more strenght"he said smiling and istend to the riddle as well"that what i was thinking,its a clock,the clock face can never see,smell or hear,shows us something that passes but never returns,well thats time,and the last clue wil shall it arms very soon,we fear what will happen next"he said thinking of all the clues"it is a clock"he said smiling and then leaning back agsit the wall thinking of the last clue

Rose smiled at them "we'll have to wait and find out,when the fog clears we'll go back to the coffee shop thats where I saw the huge Grandfather clock" she went back to reading the book.

"So what does this mean?" Tiffany asked Rose. "When we get whatever out of that clock?" She asked her.

She got up and looked out the porthole. "The fog looks thick." SHe said wrapping her arms around herself, suddenly feeling chilled. She walked back over and sat back down next to Tom. "I keep expecting them" she whispered.

tom looked at tiffany"could be one of those thirteen keys"he said whatching her get up and go to the porthole and look out at the fog"i know hopefully it will clear soon"he said to her as she came and sat back down"well dont when they come,they come and we'll have to find a way round it"he said smiling slightly at her

"Yeah it probably is." Tiffany said sighing, "Why can't things be easier to figure out." she said glancing at the casket in the other end of the room. "And as far as that goes," she said motioning to it, "I am not sure I want to know what is in there." She said shivering. sighing she layed her head back against the wall.

tom smiled"nothing in life is easy"he said looking at the casket as well"what lives in the dark should stay there"he said looking out the port hole at the fog and looked up at the celling then back at her and smiled

"I agree." Tiffany said, fowing slighty while eyeing the casket suspicously. Feeling the need to change the subject to more pleasant things to get her mind on to more pleasant things, she said, "So what would you have to do to train for mounting climbing?"
