"I do believe you and him", she said putting her hand on her heart. "It ran in your family. I'm lucky I've got a really nice family. I felt and I still feel so sorry for you", she repiled hugging her.

"Glad to hear it........sort of?" replied Court. Well this was a little awkward. But at least they were good friends. "Yes it did and noone can avoid that really"

It was kind of weird what Ginny had just said. Maybe she shouldn't of say anything after all. "Yeah. I'm sorry for what I just said. I shouldn't of", she told Court.

Courtney bowed her head knowing that her family wasn't a family to be proud of. There were very few members to be proud of. "S'ok. I guess it's just a little awkward, you know. I mean, you know what some of family are like" she replied. Maybe even a little more than she, herself, did.

"I know what your family is like. I grew up around Bradin and Justin. Bradin was just my soul mate and Justin felt like another hal-brother almost to me. Then there was all of the bad stuff but that wasn't good at all", she said to Court.

"Justin is one in a million and Bradin..words can't even begin to describe. They're both the most amazing boys ever. Still think Justin and I would make a cute couple though" replied Court. She was still chasing after Justin? She picked up her Blackberry and searched through her contacts until she got Justin's number. Hmm. Send it or not? She typed out a message reading 'I wanna be your one less lonely girl. Smooth, but I really really like you as more than...what are we, cousins?'. Hmm. She showed the message to Ginny for her apporval. "Should I or not?" she asked hovering her fingerover the send button.

"Words can't even describe any of them. Their both just like.... wow", she told Court. Ginny wasn't really sure about why Court liked Justin so much. She really didn't want to reply to that. They were cousins but kind of distance. "It's completely up to you. If you really like him that much.... I think you should", she told Court. This was Court's life and she could do what she wanted. Ginny couldn't stop her.

Court smiled and nodded in agreement. "I guess sometimes it's difficult to actually describe people as amazing as Bradin and Justin but for others it may be easier" she replied. Did that even make sense? Probably! Before Court could reconsider the message, she'd already pressed send. That was it. Now to wait for a reply. "And now we await the rejection" she said knowing Justin was sure to reject her.

"I've never met anyone as good as Bradin and Justin. They are really caring people. I spent so much time with both of them", he said to Court. Ginny heard the button go off. It had already been sent from Court being too nervous. "Don't think like that now", she repiled.

"Me either. So sweet they'd give anyone a cavity" replied Court. Mwaha. How ironic? But then her phone beeped. She looked down at the message and her smile sort of disappeared. Not a good reply. But it was put sweetly.



Court smiled again. "At least he let me down gently" she said.

"You can always trust them all of the time which is great", she said to Court. Ginny heard Court's phone beep. She knew that the text wasn't going to be the best.

"At least he repiled to you and didn't igorne it. Maybe he'll come around here later", she said.

Court looked up at Ginny and nodded. "Exactly. If you know Justin and Bradin, you have a friend for life" she said. Then she looked back at her phone and sort of half-smiled.

Looking up at Ginny agin, the 12 year old put on a brave face. Be strong she thought to herself. "Yeah, I guess so" she said in responjse to the first bit. She didn't respond to the second part. If he did, it'd be way to awkward. Then her phone beeped again.

Sorry if I hurt you, Court. I never meant to. Honest. Anyway, I'm on my way over. I was about 20 minute away when you texted me anyway so I'll be there in 10. Maybe we can talk this over before I upset you even more

Court looked up, panic in her eyes. "Great, he's 10 minutes away" she said now panicking even more than before.

"Yeah, I know. Two amazing boys with brilliant talent", she said to Court smiling so much, more than ever.

Court's phone had beeped once more. They didn't know if Justin was coming or not but Ginny wanted him to come so, Court and Justin could sort out things. They need too.

"Don't worry. Justin will understand", she repiled to her quickly.

Court smiled. "Indeed they are" she replied. So now what could they talk about.

Justin walked up the long pathway to the door and knocked loudly. Awaiting for Courtney to answer, he leant against the wall that acted as a banister and, in his case, a seat to sit on. He sighed and looked in the front window to see if she was coming to the door. And Ginny was there. Even better.

Courtney sighed and shrugged. "Maybe he will, maybe he won't. I wasn't exactly supportive with the whole Bradin and Cass thing. And to be honest, everything we just spoke about has flown out the window" she admitted. Then the door went. She went and answered the door and instantly felt awkward. "Come in" she sdaid reluctantly.

Ginny saw Justin poking his head out of the front window. He was here. There was a knock, Court had to answer it.

"That was different", she repiled to Court. "Bradin's different to Justin in relationships", she added to her quietly. Ginny didn't want Justin to hear that.

Justin looked at Court and sighed. How did he do this then? He wasn't interested in the slightest bit. And Ginny didn't even know why. "Long time no see, Ginny. How you been?" he asked. Giving they'd both lost Bradin and he'd lost Cass too, they were both in the same boat. "And Court, care to explain what you actually meant by "not supportive about the Bradin and Cass thing"?" he asked her knowing what she actually meant.

Court glared at Justin then looked at Ginny. "I didn't mean relationship wise. I mean there death's. Everything. I don't care. I never did. It seemed like pretending to care was the only way to be able to stay in the family and be close to Justin. But it went out the window. All I want is to have a relationship with Justin. But he's too tied up with little miss brat from hell, wolfpack girl, Adriane Charday" she explained.

Justin looked at her, anger in his hazel eyes. Then he looked at Ginny. "Ignore that last bit" he told her. "Ad isn't a little brat from hell, and she isn't a wolfpack girl. She's someone I'm in love with and if you can't deal with it then tough"

Ad sighed and entered without knocking. "I heard that, Courtney." She said, letting in a small snarl to her voice. She had learned many things from the wolves. Like how to growl and snarl when you speak. It scared the beejeesuz out of everyone but Justin. She crossed her arms over her chest. She looked a hot mess, she knew. The muddy paw prints of her two wolves covered her orange-and-green layered shirts and her black jeans. Not the best way to look, she knew.

Ad raised an eyebrow. "Really now? You don't care, huh?" Ad snarled. Then she heard her next comment. "Well, mistake number one, you pretended. She took a step forward, her sapphire hair falling over dangerous-looking black eyes. "You wanted a relationship, huh? Well, you actually had a chance, when I was nine, to when I was eleven. You had that chance. You had a two-year chance, when Justin and I never even heard from each other. Brat from hell, huh? I take that as a compliment. Wolfpack girl? For your information, two wolves and a human is not a pack. It takes at least five wolves for a pack to be formed." She snapped. Did this girl know ANYTHING? "And lastly, If you REALLy wanted to know, it's Adran. With an accent mark above the second 'a'. French." She gave a deathly smile.

Ad smiled at Justin and Ginny. "Well, thanks, Justin." She said, her voice immediatly softening. Justin could just tug at her heart sometimes. "Justin..." She looked at him, hair covering her face again. She looked as a ray of light caught a lock of it. It practically glowed bright blue.

Ginny hadn't seen Justin in ages. They were both thinking the same. "Life's been tough but I've been pretty good", she answered. "You?", she added, even though he would answer basically the same.

Court was all worked up. How could anyone reply to what she had just say? Justin was right here, he could hear everything that Court was saying to Ginny. "Court, things can't always go your way. That's life. I just can't say anymore", she told her. Ginny was kind of scared.

She just couldn't take this anymore. "ENOUGH!", screamed Ginny. She looked crazily from Court to Justin. Things weren't going to work out if they were going to be like this. "You two should seriously think before you say something", she explained.

Court listened to everything Ad had just said. EVERYTHING! She was seriously intimidating and Court didn't like it. But she knew she'd just bought that on herself. Then she looked over at Justin and rolled her eyes. She'd get her man no matted what she had to do. "Ok, look you two wierdos. You're not scaring me one bit so just lay off will you and learn to be kind to people younger than you" she said. She knew that was an understatement and she wasn't in the right place to be saying that. But this was her. She never made sense. "And as for brat, yes you are. You get everything you want. INCLUDING MY BOYFRIEND" she replied. Ok, this was getting out of control but she was getting lost in it all and she was sure Ad was going to hurt her now.

Justin smiled back at Ad. Then his eyes went straight to Court, a stern look in his bright hazel eyes. Turn your attention back to Ad he thought to himself. And he listened to his mind? Shocker!! He looked down at Ad. "Yes?" he asked sheepishly after she said his name. "And you're welcome" he added sweetly and softly before he forgot. He never felt the need to protect Ad. She had two wolves and was extremely feisty on her own. So to him, she didn';t need that much protection from Court. Whoa! BRAT? No way. "Ok, one, I'm not your boyfriend Courtney. Two, she doesn't get everything she wants. And three, it took ages for the two of us to get together properly. And Ad's right, you did have two years of chances and you choose now to try your luck? When you have no chance?" he said sternly to his sort-of-cousin.

Justin looked at Court then at Ginny and round to Ad then back again. "I've been good thanks. Considering" he replied. "I'm not sure if you've met Ad. She's the best friend of Cass, and if you've not met her, she's Bradin and my cousin" he explained. Had he just made something simple sound confusing?

Court looked sternly at Ginny. How could she be on Justin's side. NOOO! "But it should go my way. It's not fair" she replied knowing that she was sounding like a spoilt brat now.

Ad sighed and kept her temper in check. She raised an eyebrow as Court rolled her eyes. "Weirdo? Again, thank you for he compliment. And...how old are you? I may look like fifteen or so but I'm only eleven." Ad gave a shaky, extremely controlled breath. "I don't get what ever I want." Ad said very quietly. "If I had everything I wanted, my father would still be alive. And he's not your boyfriend."

Ad felt her heart flutter slightly when Justin smiled. "Uh...hi. How are you?" She said after she cleared her mind. She thought about Justin WAY to much sometimes. She listened to Justin tell Courtney off. Just to tick Court off, Ad took Justin's hand, to calm him down as well. Justin's temper got the best of him sometimes.

She heard the soft sweetness in his voice, causing her to smilie again. "Someone's in a be-sweet-and-kind-to-Addy mood today." Ad squeezed Justin's hand. He was the only one that could call her Addy, for he knew the nickname's backstory.

Ad looked to Ginny. "Uh...hi."

Court raised an eyebrow at the increasingly angry girl stood before her. She glanced a little at Justin and sighed. "Ok, I can see you and I are never gonna be friends so let's just cut the whole thing before it gets out of hand. I happen to know some dark stuff" said Courtney practically threatening Ad. But that was a terrible idea. Exactly what she always came up with.

"I'm great thanks. Better now that I've seen you. And that was really cheesy. Anyway, how are you?" replied Justin. Teehee. He was rather random sometimes. But that was what made him.....him. Then he looked down at his hand which was intwined with Ad's and smiled. She knew how to calm him down.

He giggled slightly at her comment. "It's be-sweet-to-Addy-day everyday" he replied rather sweetly, as usual.

Court rolled her eyes at the annoying pair of love-birds that stood before her eyes and scoffed at them. "Absolutely pathetic. O and in answer to your earlier question, I too am eleven. And more suitable for Mr Congeniality here" she said harshly.

Justin rolled his eyes and shrugged Court's comment off. Then he looked from Ginny to Ad. "Ad, this is Ginny. Bradin's ex girlfriend. Although I'm a little confused as to whether they were together or not when you know what happened. But yeah, Bradin's girlfriend come ex girlfriend. And Ginny, this is Ad, also referred to as Addy by moi" said Justin introducing the two girls.

Ad twirled a thick strand of her sapphire hair on her finger, a habit she had developed whenever she became angry. "Well duh. And I probably know more dark and dangerous things than you could ever imagine." Adriane said, trying, with difficulty, to calm down.

Ad rolled her eyes. "You think everything's cheesy. And...I'm good. Could be better." She said, casting a quick glance in Court's direction. She smiled when he smiled. "Glad to see SOMEONE listens to me." She giggled. No one wanted to listen to her anymore. Especially her wolves, which got frustrating a lot.

Ad smiled, shaking her head. "Aww, thanks." She smiled in response to Justin's smile.

Ad saw Court roll her eyes and rolled her eyes back. Then she scoffed. "Pathetic, huh? Well, I have a quiz for you. You probably don't know half as I do about Justin. What is his nickname?" She asked. She would never get this, for Adriane was the only one who used the nickname "Just." Ad sighed. "Okay, so we're the same age. How are YOU more suitable? Yeah, you have a ton of stuff that I don't but I have everything that counts. I have a good heart, a great personality, and Justin and I actually get along pretty much ALL the time." She wouldn't add anything about looks, because Court was prettier than Ad.

"Hi, Ginny. Justin, like I've said time and time again, you're ALWAYS confused." Ad said, facepalming. She removed her hand from her face to wave at Ginny. "Yes, and you never cease to call me Addy." She grumbled half-heartedly under her breath.

Court cocked an eyebrow at Ad then looked atr a clearly angry Justin. She knew that subject was a huge pressure poijnt for them both. And not in a good way. "Doubt it. Just because you almost died on each other, which I wish you both did, doesn't mean you know everything, little Miss Mistake-of-the-Century" she said harshly.

Justin smiled and giggled slightly. "Well that did sound cheesy. Although it's true but still, it's not the point" he replied. Then his attention was drawn to Court. He came to a stand still. She did not just say that. He let go of Ad and stepped over to meet Court's evil little gaze and backed her in the corner. "Mistake of the century? It's not good to talk about yourself and if you want me dead, kill me here and now. You think you know how to do it, do it. Believe me, Ad and I have seen things that not even the darkest wizard of our time has seen. And who are you to wish siomething so cruel as that. Bradin did die. Nikki's heart was blown to smithereens because of that. So was mine. And now you're wishing us dead. You're just pathetic and waste of space" he said, now finding it very difficult to calm himself down for Court had just blown any chance of that happening.

Turning back to Ad, Justin blinked and allowed her small tear escape his hazel eye. He wasn't upset about what Court had said but in the context she'd said it. "Sorry you had to see that" he told Ad, his voice sounding broken.

His smile reappeared onn his features ever so slightly. "You're welcome"

Court panicked when Justin pinjned her in the corner. She'd never seen him as mad as that before. "Ok, look. Just leave me alone. And Justin, I really wouldn't push me if I were you. One, you're not worth it and two, it's life in Aszkaban, maybe worse" she said. Awkward. Then she looked at Ad. "His nickname's JJ. Everybody knows that" she replied. It was JJ, right? "Justin's a jerk who, like I said, should've died alongside Bradin with you following, as per usual" she said. Gutsy move again.

Justin smiled at the two of them and his jaw opened slightly. "Charming, but it's true" he replied.

Ad watched Court carefully. Justin was seething…oh dear. Never good. She took a deep breath and stepped forward. “Don’t you DARE start with me. I am not in the mood for you to be playing games. You wish we were dead, eh? Well, too bad, so sad, now I’ll get on with my life.” Ad took another step, half expecting Justin to grab her arm and pull her back. “Mistake-of-the-Century…didn’t know you were talking about yourself, Courtney.” She taunted. Bad idea, but oh well.

Ad smiled and lifted Justin’s hand, playing with his fingers. An old boredom-killer she had. “If you say so, Justin…I just thought it was plain ol’ sweet.” She watched as Justin dropped her hand and cornered Court. “J-J-Justin?” She said, slightly frightened. She had never seen Justin like this. “Justin…calm down, please.” She pleaded.

When he turned around, she tried to give him a calming smile. She reached out and took his hand, pulling him to her. “It’s okay. You just didn’t have to scare me.” She admitted, blushing fiercely. She noted how his voice sounded, and looked up. “Calm down.” She stated simply. She looked over at Court. “Take that as a warning.” She snarled at the girl.

Ad put her fingers on the corners of his mouth and pushed them up. She realized after it was too late that it was something Cass would do when the dreaded half-smile would appear, but she just shook it off. “Smile, gosh darn it.” She demanded, sticking to her ‘no cursing’ rule.


Ad raised an eyebrow. “If you want us to leave you alone, then just shut up. You started this.” Ad said in a scarily calm voice. “And you were just the one that was all up in my face saying that Justin was yours, and now you’re calling him a jerk and saying he’s not worth it? What the heck, Court?” Ad was seething as well by now. “And no, his nickname is ‘Just.’ He doesn’t go by JJ anymore, except by me.” Then Ad stiffened. How dare she say something like that! “Don’t you DARE say that. If you knew what was good for you, you’d shut up. You can’t just wish someone died. What did Justin and I ever do to you?” She said, her voice rising. She bit her trembling bottom lip and let a few tears escape. She could barely keep herself from bursting into tears. After all this time, she had just learned to trust people again, and this happens. Just her luck.

Ad sighed. “Yeah, yeah. Whatever…JJ.” She taunted, waiting for him to ask what she wanted. And right now, all she wanted was a hug.

Court looked at Ad and backed off. Ok, now she'd pushed it way too far. "Ok, I'm sorry. Is there any way we can just be friends?" she asked. What the hell was that? There was no way they were going to be friends with her. Not a chance of that happening in this life time.

Justin looked at Addy and moved away from Court. Then he looked at Court again. "Not a chance. You've pushed this whole thing way too far. One rejection and you turn into some sort of monster. Courtney, you never used to be like this. You used to be happy with the way Ad and I are together, not someone who wished us dead because one person rejects you. It's pathetic. But no, there's no way we can be friends after this" he replied to her calmly.

Looking back at Ad again, Justin's eyes trailed to the floor. "Sorry. Didn't mean to, honestly. It's just....she winds me up an insane amount whenever she brings that day up. And today....well that was a whole new level of sick" he informed Ad calmly and apologetically.

Justin giggled a little when Ad pushed the corners of his mouth up. That was what Cass did. O how he missed his cousins. If they could see Court now, they'd go mental. "In the circumstances, it's a little difficult but I know you want me to so I will" he replied. He couldn't help but smile when he looked deep into her eyes. He could see the Ad he fell in love with more and more everyday.

Court looked at the floor then at Ad and Justin. They seemed so happy. "Like I said, can we be friends?" she asked again. Not a chance. But Ad had a point. "I don't know. I was mad. I hate rejections. And a rejection for someone as horrible as you, well that's just insane" she said. What happened to the "can we be friends?" she was asking about? O well. "Yes he does go by JJ. Why would he ever answer to 'Just'?" she replied. "Justin rejected me for you and you took my future away from me. I hate you both. You've dragged me down just to be happy" she explained. She knew she was the one who'd dragged them down but she never took the blame for something like this.

Justin smiled and pulled Ad into a hug knowing that was what she was after right now. He looked at Court and shook his head. "Us dragging you down? Courtney, you just wished us dead over a rejection. If Bradin was here now, he'd be so disgusted at you for saying what you've said. I love Ad and I wanna spend the rest of my life with her. If you can't be happy for us, then why are we even having this conversation. All I wanted to do was sort the whole thing out. Not be dragged down to the ground by a pathetic excuse for a witch" he told Court rather calmly. Odd much?
