Jack was angry, not jealous or upset or cranky. Angry. He wanted to blow off all his steam and normally the only way he had in the past was destroying something or someone, violence used to be his way of life...but it wasn't now....and he didn't want to scare his wife. "I...you...slept with him?...I...thank you for getting rid of the pictures...I need to blow off some steam...okay?" He asked, his eyes were obviously very angry, someone who didn't know them should see that, but his wife, who knew him better than anyone should see the extent of his anger. His face hid all of it, he seemed calm, collected, normal on the surface. |
Elizabeth winced and backed away in fear, "My love... it was 13 years ago... way before I knew you... I would have told you sooner but my memory was wiped." She backed up into the stove, forgetting that the burner was on. She yelped then disappeared as she went to the bathroom to take care of it. |
Jack was about to speak when he saw her burn herself, he went into his office and grabbed some burn cream and bandages he always brought with him on adventures...you never know right? He walked into the bathroom and though he was angry took he hand gently and started to take care of her as if he weren't angry at all. |
Elizabeth looked up at him as he took her hand and started to take care of it. She looked at him with sorrow in her eyes, "I am so sorry, my love..." She looked down, feeling terrible that she hadnt remembered Victor so she could have told him and avoided this. |
Jack said nothing her her saying she was sorry, not that he didn't believe it, just because he was playing it smart and saying nothing so as not to say something in anger. He kissed her head to show her he still loved her very dearly and took a step back. "I'll be in the basement, okay?" He said awaiting her response before walking away. |
Elizabeth looked at her then down at her feet. She nodded, "Okay..." She sighed and once he left, she went to the living room, sinking to her knees. |
Jack walked down the the basement, opening his laptop. Searching for this 'Victor' he asked all of his old contacts in Russia to find out everything they could on this man and report back to him if they knew what was good for them...he was trying to calm himself, he knew he had no right to be angry but it didn't stop him from being so...there were a few dummies in the basement he'd charmed for Max a few times so he could practice his fencing..so Jack woke them up and began to fight them, he was very outnumbered, 10 to 1 but he wasn't worried, numbers meant nothing...it was an easy way to get out his anger....even if it did leave him with bumps and bruises, it was better than finding a human punching bag right? |
She let her hair cascade down her back as she let her bun down. Her brown hair framed her face as she closed her eyes. Tears were sliding down her cheeks as she prayed that her worst fear wouldnt come true. Elizabeth bowed her head and let her hair cover her face. Her heart was slowly breaking in grief at what she had done... She didnt know what to do. She longed for her husband to forgive her. Who knew what she did when she was 27 would rock her marriage at 41... |
Jack walked up the stairs, a few bruises and scrapes. But in a better mood, he couldn't change the past...but he could make the future better. He found his wife, crying. He knew she was afraid but after all they'd been through this was no time to be throwing in the towel. He threw his arms around her and kissed her deeply, holding her close to him but gently. "I'm sorry for being angry it's just....everything's been so crazy lately...but if that's it and the pictures are going...then i see no reason for us to fight or be upset. You're mine now and that's all that matters.." |
Elizabeth looked up as he threw his arms around her. She kissed him back as well as she could. Her mind wasnt in it at the moment. She pulled away after a while and looked into his eyes. She searched them a little and tears came into her eyes as she wiggled out of his arms. She stood up, "Jack..." Tears streamed down her face, "I had hoped that I would never have to see the anger in your eyes like that..." She turned. |
Jack sighed. "I...i know, i get carried away and i'm sorry. It's gone now and i'm over it. It's in the past...please..can we just forget about it? What's done is done and all i know is i love you.." He said, the anger in his eyes gone, looking back into her eyes. |
Elizabeth sighed and looked him back in the eyes. She nodded and kissed him lightly, "Okay..." She laid her head on his shoulder and held him close to her. Tears silently ran down her cheeks though. |
Jack heard felt a tear on his shoulder and turned her face lightly and wiped the tears away. "Hey, dry your eyes...what's wrong, my flower?" He asked looking at her sweetly. |
Elizabeth looked at him and searched his eyes. She nodded and snuggled into him. She glanced up still, without moving her head from the new spot. "You... are amazing, my love." She held him close and smiled at him. |
Jack smiled, looking back at her. "Thank you....so are you." He said smiling at her. "But you didn't answer my question, what's wrong? Why are you crying, still?" He asked. "Is it just the memories?" |
Elizabeth grimaced as Jack asked her again. "I... it..." She rubbed her head and gave him a pitiful glance, showing how much it had hurt to remember and have then all crashing into her head at once. |
Jack Nodded. "I understand...i do..." He said looking in her eyes and knowing she had to know her did understand. "I'm here for you..." |
Elizabeth gave him a light smile and kissed him lightly. "I love you, Jack." She looked into his eyes and pulled him closer, "And only you." She searched his eyes and held him as close as she could. "You are mine and I am yours... apart we are strong but together we are invincible..." She gently lead his hands to her hips as hers went to his cheeks. She kissed him passionately. |
Jack had no words, nothing he could say could be better than what she had. So he nodded and kissed her back just as passionately and pulled her close to him. Yes, they had their troubles but they were always stronger for it... |
After a bit, she pulled a little away and sang the chorus to unanswered praers by Garth Brooks, " SPOILER!!: lyrics to chorus She changed it just slightly to fit them, with the shes to hes and such. She looked into Jack's eyes and loved shone for him as she kissed him again pulling him closer as the kiss deepen again. |

Jack chuckled and shook his head. "No, Dear...I was always a horrible man...i did what i wanted when i wanted..with no regard for the law or any type of moral compass..." He said and smiled a little. "But every good thing about me came out of love for you.." He grabbed the small compass necklace on her neck that he gave her for Christmas. "That's why i gave you this....you're like my compass...you always help me find my way.." |
Elizabeth glanced down at the compass necklace that was around her neck that he grabbed then looked up at him, blushing. She kissed him lightly, "You do me honor, my love." She laughed and glazed into his eyes. "You are wonderful and you keep me straight." She laid her head on his shoulder as she looked up at him. All of the love she felt for him was flooding her eyes and the gestures she made. |
Jack was looking over the letters he'd received from both his mother and Hannah...neither good news...one more than the other...he needed to speak with his wife about both, but how to tell her? She'll be so heartbroken and things were just getting on track for them....and now he's having another child...with another woman. |
