Melinda notices everyone wants to talk to her. She goes to the table to serve herself something to eat. She felt week. "Guys...there is something...really important I need to tell you...about my health..." She said, as she tried to eat.

"You look troubled and tired Melinda" Jason told her. "So are you going to tell us all what is happening to you ?' Jason asked Melinda.

Melinda looked at Jason and gulped. "Umm...I went to the doctor today...and he told me...that I have enough energy in my heart...to live...no more than ten years..." She said, as tears fell again through her cheeks.

"Oh my god, only ten years" Jason almost cried. He huggged Melinda. "did you tell Chris?" Jason asked her.

"Yeah..." Melinda said, crying. "He's in a pretty big shock...I feel so bad..." Melinda said.

"He is a good guy, he will marry you Melinda and stay by your side until the end" Jason kind of cried. "Jamie and I will never leave you, either" Jason told Melinda. "By the way, my castle is open to you and Chris during this hard time Melinda" Jason told her

Melinda stopped crying. "Thanks, Jason..." She said, smiling.

Jason kissed Melinda's cheeks in the usual family way. " So are you ready to just let let life be life?' Jason asked Melinda

"Yes..." Meilnda said and smiled. She finished her whole chicken enchiladas and rice. "This was delicious, Jamie..." She said, smiling.

"Good, that is my cousin and Chris's girl" Jason told Melinda. Jasom makes funny faces to get Melinda to laugh.

Chris walked into the kitchen. He sat down next to Melinda.

"Chris, good news, Melinda is going to live life completely despite her sickness" Jason told him.

Melinda laughs at Jason's faces. She felt so happy that at least, or most, her family and friends will be there for her during the hard times.

She noticed Chris sitting down by her. She turned to him and smiled.

Chris smiled back at her. And gave her a kiss on the cheek.

"That is good news". he said to Jason.

"Would you two like to be alone?' Jason asked Chris and Melinda.

"No its ok Jason". he told him.

jason and Jamie decide to take a walk outside leaving Chris and Melinda alone anyway.

"It's ok..." Melinda said, but then looked and saw Jason and Jamie leaving anyways.

She turned to Chris. "I needed that kiss..." She said and smiled, then kissed his cheek back.

"How about this one?" he said and started to kiss her.

Melinda kissed Chris back. Then, after a while, she pulled back and said, "Umm...like that one better...", laughing.

Jamie was in shock after hearing what Melinda said. She could not believe it. She was walking with Jason and could not say anything.

Jason kisses Jamie. "As long as Melinda handles life the way she is now, there will be no problem "Jason told Jamie and Excelsior.

"I know. But it is just so scary. All we can do is be there for her." Jamie said kissing Jason back.

"Well, Melinda could get another opinion from another doctor since first diagnosis are not always right " Jason told Jamie.
