••KA: RPotW•• ->The Deumont House There is a house of teenage witches and wizards that weren’t accepted into any wizarding school; not Beauxbatons, Durmstrang, or even Hogwarts would accept any of them. It wasn’t because they weren’t skilled, no, far from it. They weren’t accepted because they couldn’t be; they couldn’t be accepted into the normal wizarding society. Some headmasters considered taking them in, helping them through normal classwork, but it was always ultimately decided that it just wouldn’t work out. Normal children would be envious, weirded out, or just scared of the outsiders should they be admitted into any school. And so they were sent to the Deumont House, a large house on the outskirts of London, sitting on a near eleven acres of land. These teenagers were especially gifted, some with extraordinary smarts and others with real powers that they were still learning to control. They ranged anywhere from telekinesis and psychic abilites to powers of controlling the elements (to a very small degree). The classes they enrolled in there were advanced, specializing in each group of students individually. (For example, for those that could read minds, there was a specific course for it that helped them train, control, and perfect it.) Their schedules resembled Hogwarts’ normal schedule in the idea that classes lasted the same amount of time, and they had breakfast, lunch, and dinner. But that was about where the comparison ended. Since there’s only about fifty students, there are no quidditch teams, just friendly games in the expansive grounds. And instead of houses, there are simply many many dorm rooms throughout the mansion home with two people per room. Of course, girls are with girls and boys are with boys, but everyone has enough breathing room and the mansion is far from cramped. The ‘school’ is run by the Deumont family, an old family that has been dealing with special powers and training them for decades, they serve as the teachers and the patriarch of the family serves as the headmaster. The school only has five years to it, but students are only accepted at the age of 13, graduating when they are 18 and have been dubbed fully trained. We’ll be starting with a group of 4th years, meaning that they’d be 16 or 17, and all should be made-ups. This roleplay is about the start of a new school year, and there should be a couple new students added in the mix so there’s some fresh meat but I’d also like to see some characters that have been there for a while. Up to you, though. - Please, no one liners. I know you can add a little more to your posts and it really makes a difference for the entire roleplay. Please at least four lines/sentences. - Also, I would really love for this roleplay to last. I just hate it when they die out and we’re left with half a story instead of something that could turn out really well. If you absolutely have to leave, let me know, but if you don’t think you have time, please don’t join. - Please, use a little bit of nice grammar. But once she gets to know new people, she can be quite friendly and inviting. She’s still working on her powers, learning to train them, and she’s had a few accidents with them before. She’s hoping this year she’ll be able to perfect them more so there will be less slip-ups in her daily life. Though she is sweet to everyone she likes, her temper needs to be watched as when she gets angry...She really gets angry. History: Tabithia has always been a little strange, moreso than any of her friends when she was a child. Her powers first became noticeable when she was about seven and accidently brought water from a pond and dumped it over the head of a mean boy at school. She had wanted to, but was unaware that she could make it happen with her mind. Her parents were unable to find any proper school that would take her in until they found the Deumont House which immediately accepted her at the age of 13. She’s been there for the past three or four years and has been loving it ever since. She talks out of turn in her classes, makes jokes, pulls pranks. Along side of this clown she can also be very serious, and her bad side is no one you would want to get on. Her attitude by some is described as blunt and rude- but she believes in honesty. At times she can be full of herself, but she says its all in good fun. HISTORY Her parents are both travelers. There are many things that they have picked up from their travels around the world. For the first ten years of her life Coheed would go along with them, until she had to attend school. Her powers seemed to appear suddenly at the age of 8. First it started off with her complaining that the people in rooms next to them were talking to loud, or everyone needed to stop talking all at once. She didn't know at the time she was hearing their thoughts. Years passed and voices grew louder, but she kept it to herself. With moving from land to land with her family, she felt as though she would be condemned if she brought up the voices. Around the age of 11 she started falling through chairs and walls. The day that she fell through 3 floor of a hotel, and ended up in a hotel cellar, her parents seeked out help, and found this school. Being in the school she has learned how to block out most of other peoples thoughts, and can protect her own thoughts from being penetrated. He loves to show off his powers, and he's a total lady's man. He can persuade anyone to do what he wants, when he wants it. This is due to his very limited hypnosis power. He loves being special and different from regular wizards and witch's, he believes he has a sort of power over them. He doesn't think he should be treated any different from anyone else in that stupid school Hogwarts. In fact, he thinks he should be treated better. After all, what power did they have over him? None whatsoever. He's a total grudge-holder, so if you make him angry you probably won't hear from him for about a month or two. Origin of Powers: Xavior was originally from Italy, but had to move because his entire town was burnt to ashes... because of him. He had lost his temper at his father and lost all control of his powers. His father was killed instantly, and he's never been the same again. But his father always told him to be proud of his gift, his ability's. So that's why he's always been so cocky about his powers. Other: He has some musical talent, but he keeps it a secret and he has a pet lizard named "Spike." |

The plot is awesome! :D Age: 16 Blood Status: Pure Special Powers: He can inflict pain on people he gets angry with, he has no control over it, it just happens and there is nothing he can do to stop it. Appearance: SPOILER!!: looks History: Matt had a very tough childhood, as he was different from other children. He is a pure blooded wizard but grew up with Muggles as he attended a muggle school for the first few years of his life. He was 7 years old when his powers started happening. A boy from his school was picking on him, and the next thing he knew was that child fell to the ground withering in pain. After this incident, Matthew and his family moved. He was rejected from all the wizarding schools in the country, which took it's toll on his self-esteem, feeling as if he didn't fit in anywhere. Until he found The Deumont House, where he found happiness. He started attending the school when he was 12, starting in his second year. Matt didn't have a good relationship with his father, as he thought his son wasn't normal, but Matt is very close with his mother. Personality: Matt is a very individual person and also is quite quick-tempered, which turned out very badly for people who got him mad. Since joining the Deumont House, he has become a lot more happier and his powers don't affect him or anyone else as much as they used to. Around his friends, Matt is a very cheery and funny guy to be around. As Matt is naturally good looking, he gets a lot of attention from girls, but he has never had a relationship before and becomes quite shy in front of them. Her power can often lead to problems however. Because she can't control it, she often unintentionally breaks into the minds of others, causing them to perform actions they wouldn't otherwise do and control them unknowingly, until they do something horrible. And vice versa, she is often the subject of illicit actions while another is controlling her mind. Personality: Indie is confident and independent mostly, but can become insecure when her powers run amuck. Otherwise, you can usually find her hanging with her friends and having a good time at the mall, theatre or whever they are. Bio!! Name: Demitri Woods Age: 17 Year: 4th Blood: Half DoB: March 24 Appearance: http://i976.photobucket.com/albums/a...eeker/yeah.jpg Personality: Demitri is quite laid back, simply happy to lay out in the sun. However, in a group of people, he can be quite social depending on what mood he's in. Sometimes he feels it is best to simply sit there and observe. He love to laugh, and cracks the occasional joke. However, if he gets angry, he becomes quite quiet... and sometimes the earth shakes. Powers: Demitri controls the element of earth- to a certain degree. He can't move mountains, but he can move earth to suit his will. Plants are also in his domain. He can grow a tree from seed with in minutes, but it can be quite draining. Smaller plants only take a small amount of energy, and he is usually happy to help some struggling plants along. He is quite attuned to nature, and both the earth and plants can let him know what or who might be around him. History: Demetri's powers had always been with him, even when he was a young boy. Even when he was a baby, his father said that the grass reached out toward him. Fearing her accused 'mutant' child, Dimitri's mother left when he was young and has never been seen since. Because of this, he's a bit shyer about his powers than most might be, but his is more subtle anyway. His father did his best to raise him, encouraging him to learn about his gift but not necessarily using it in public. As a wizard, at least, his father was a bit more understanding. |
