Fiona stood stoically in the Headmaster's office while he chewed the lot of them out. He hadn't even given any of them the chance to explain. Anger burned deep in her belly leaving a bad taste in her mouth. Despite how she may have felt she stood with the others and took the punishment. When he announced that they had detention the following night she almost sighed with relief. When the Headmaster was done Fiona took the back again and ushered out everyone that was in the room. She caught the look on Kelby's face and walked over next to her. Raising a hand Fie put a hand on her shoulder and squeezed. She didn't think their was anything she could say but showing the girl support would be a start. Fiona looked around and caught sight of Blaire. Her twin had some definite explaining to do. "Care to explain what that was all about?" Her voice held no trace of emotion, she would give her sister a chance to say something in her defense before she said anything. |
Gen was in such a daze, she didn't even notice the fight going on by the Slytherin table. She was still staring at the Prophet that was lying in front of her when she heard the Headmaster calling people to his office. She was shocked to see Gem among them. Well, she definately wasn't hungry and she needed to relax. She pushed herself up from the table and headed back to the common room. She decided that would be the best place to wait for her sister. As soon as the fight broke out, Monday dashed out of the Great Hall. He didn't want to do something he would regret. Now, he found himself in the library, only after retreiving the journal with everything that happened from the past couple of days. There were books scattered all over his table ranging from ones about the Dark Mark and Death Eaters to books that seemed to contain his family history. He was constantly re-reading what he had written about the dream. He just didn't know what to make of it. |
Dallin had quickly deserted the Great Hall for the Library, after staying in there for only a minute or so. He wasn't hungry, really. He was still confused, and he still wanted to talk. He'd kept everything about last night stuck up in his own head, and he needed to talk about it with someone. And that plan hadn't exactly worked out well with Elodie. Luckily, a someone happened to be in the library, along with Dallin. Sure, Dallin didn't know Monday that well, but it was worth a short, right? "Hey." he said quietly, sitting down across the table from the other Ravenclaw. He eyed the books that were spread across the table, noticing the subjects of each of them. "Mind if I sit?" |
Monday was about to pull his hair out of his head. He just couldn't figure this out! He jumped slightly when he heard someone talking to him. He recognized Dallin from the common room and such, but they'd never really had a conversation. Now probably wasn't the best time for Monday to be talking to people, but it might help him to talk things out. "Um sure." He rearranged some of the books so that the table wasn't completely covered. Maybe a second brain would help figure this mess out. Or at least get Monday started on it. |
Elodie stood in shock for a couple of minutes, she had watched the scene in front of her unfold and still had, pretty much, no idea what was going on. A lot of things didn't make sense right now, too many really. Especially that dream, who the heck was that red head chick? and who was Arthur? and why was Izzy in her dream? why does she even care it was a dream? but Izzy had the same dream, wouldn't that make it mean something? and why did her family have to get wiped out, with only her uncle left? all questions she couldn't answer, maybe they would reveal their answers later on, but for now she was an orphaned 17 year old that happens to be a witch, fantastic. She quickly grabbed a bread roll and walked out quickly, breaking off pieces of bread as she went, she saw Dallin up ahead, but it entered her mind, then left, leaving only a mark. like everything else in her life right now, nothing mattered, it just left a mark. She hurried away, she needed to think things through. talking wasn't good for her, she needed to tell someone, someone close, but she didn't want to talk to them. if that made any sense. She wanted to talk to her mum, but she was gone. Elodie hurried towards the lake, it was the one place she could truly think. |

"Sorry, I know we've never talked or anything." he looked over at Monday, a frown still etched on his face. "But I kinda need to talk, so I can figure out my brain. If you don't wanna talk, I'm okay with that - I'll go find someone else." He wasn't being rude, he just thought that maybe Monday wouldn't want to talk, that maybe he'd want to be alone or something. |

"It's all right. We've both been kind of busy with what we do." Monday liked to study and play quidditch. That was pretty much it. "It's fine. I actually think that might be what I've need. My brain is so scrambled. Especially since this weird dream that I had last night." That was the most perplexing thing. That and the fact that the Auror said 'person' when he took parents for questioning. |

"What was your dream?" he asked, unable to stop himself. |

Yes. Just what Monday wanted to talk about. "Well, it started out with me standing in this massive green field that was filled with purple flowers. There was this pond with blue and pink polka dotted water and the sky was green and the clouds looked like bubbles." Just this part was completely confusing to him. He had no idea that his mind could create such a place. "There was this blonde woman there and her voice was very...airy. She said I looked like someone named Rolf and a bunch of things like the air tasting like cotton candy, which it actually did. She said that someone named Hermione had a message for me and that something was missing from Hogwarts, but when she tried to tell me, the dream wouldn't allow me to hear it. She said something in Hogwarts didn't want me to know. Then the dream just disappeared." Monday looked up at Dallin. He knew that was a lot to take in. "Does any of that make any sense to you?" |
Dallin shrugged one shoulder. "I didn't hear any of what the aurors said. But it was strange - two of them looked different. I mean, there was the one that was obviously in charge, then there were the two others." he paused for a second, trying to remember exactly what he'd thought when he'd seen the aurors. "The other two were different. Their badges were like, backwards. Like I was looking at them through a mirror or something." He shook his head. "It was weird." His eyes widened as he listened to Monday tell about his dream. What in Merlin's name was that all about? Random, much? Dal bit his bottom lip as he thought over what he'd been told. "Rolf?" he asked, raising an eyebrow. "Isn't that, uh, Scamander's name?" He wasn't quite sure if he'd remembered the name right, but it was something like that. "And Hermione. Wouldn't that be like, Hermione Granger? Uh - Weasley?" That was logical, right? He shrugged again. "That's all I got out of it. I don't understand the weird setting or the cotton candy air." |
Monday listened intently about what he said about the Aurors. He hadn't expected him to hear anything, but what he said he saw was good enough. "They're badges were backwards?! That's strange." He jotted down the badge thing because that was just weird. That was just another thing he added to the list of things that were confusing to him. Rolf Scamander. Rolf Scamander. "Hold on a second." He flipped through the book that seemed to contain family history. He searched through it and finally landed on the name. "Rolf Scamander's my Great Great Grandfather!" No wonder the name sounded familiar. He looked at the woman that was pictured next to him whose name was Luna Lovegood. "That's the woman from my dream!" He was in such a state of shock at finding this out that he hardly heard the thing about Hermione Granger. "Hermione Granger. It does make logical sense that that's who was trying to send me a message. Her and Luna did go to school together." Now his brain was working. He wrote down next to Luna's description in his dream her name and wrote Hermione's last name next to hers. He had missed Dallin's last couple of statements because his brain seemed to be reeling now. "Thank you so much for pointing those things out to me. It would've taken me a long time to think of that. Oh, and you're welcome to stay and help if you want." |
Detention. Blaire had never had a detention before in her life. Ever. She walked dejectedly out of the Headmaster's office and turned to face her twin. 'I... I don't know. I was only... I didn't mean to - I just couldn't stand to see her like that. They died m, Fia, and she was just making fun of it. I just couldn't watch - I didn't even think it would get through the shield charm, I don't know what made me choose that particular spell... I just don't know...' |

Izzy shrugged. She didn't know what it meant for people to have the same dream. She was about to tell Elodie, that she'd go look it up in the library but Elodie left. Izzy then started to day dream as her hair changed from brown to a light pink. She woke up a few minutes later to see the Headmaster calling people into his office. Wow, why had she fallen asleep? She then thought that she should head to the library. Izzy's hair turned to a bright red, she was excited, hot in pursuit of what it could mean. She saw Gen and Gem together. "Hey do you guys know if two people can have the same dream? And what it means?" she asked the twins. Hopefully one of them would know. Or she could get Spence to help her find, what the answer was. She looked around, Where in the world could Spence be?? She tried to remember if he was one of the ones called in. She nodded, yep, he was. |

Gem was suprised, this dream thing was getting weirder and weirder. Was weirder a word? Gem didn't know...ANYWAY. Gem glanced at Gen. "Sure," she said. Well, she would go with Izzy, she wasn't quite sure if Gen wanted to. But Gem would. |

It all happened so quickly Spence barely had time to register it. He shot a failed disarming spell at Kalliope, but that was all. Before Spence knew what was going on a girl had fallen... she was bleeding... slashes across her body... Spence felt nauseous. He stumbled backward a little, in shock, watching as Fiona made her way over to the victim. Kalliope. Spence was just glad it wasn't someone he was close to. He watched as Kelby joined her, hoping they could save the girl. Spence wanted to help... but he didn't even know where he would start. A simple healing charm wouldn't work. He felt both relieve and... the opposite of it when he spotted the nurse walk in with the headmaster at her heels. Spence probably should have expected what came next. ........................ He couldn't believe he'd received detention. He didn't even DO anything! He was trying to stop other people from tearing each other to threads! Every time Spence tried to explain what happened, though, he was interrupted. Since when did the headmaster start ignoring prefects? Since when was Hogwarts so insane and his life so confusing? Spence wouldn't be serving that detention. There was no way he was sticking around long enough for that. He would ask Kelby and Izzy if they planned on being true to their word... if they would come with him and then Spence would leave. "Kel!" Spence called out to get her attention, as he raced down the spiral staircase leading away from the Headmaster's office. "Want to go to the library?" he asked her hopefully, running a hand habitually through his messy Potter hair. The library should be fairly empty considering they were still on winter break. It would be the perfect place to get away from prying eyes and have a conversation without worrying about eavesdroppers. |
Feeling a hand on her shoulder, Kelby turned her head to see who it was and smiled faintly when she saw it was Fiona. She gave her a reassuring nod before watching her go and talk to Blaire, who looked extremely upset and reasonably so. But before Kel could consider going over there to speak to Blaire as well and perhaps see if Fiona knew why their spell hadn't worked, she saw Spence exiting the office and racing for the stairs. She was about to call out to him, but he did it first. "Sure!" she called back, already rushing after him. The library would be the perfect place to talk as there was surely no one else there what with it being Christmas Break and with most of the students spending their break with their fam- Not gonna think about that. |
You guys are truly marvelous RPers. With the logic and the talking. Love it! SPOILER!!: Dallin OOC: Just keep doing what you're doing, everyone. It's beautiful. I'm going to implant a suggestion. Dallin, the book you were looking at appears to be a journal, and as you stare at it, you have the strange urge to open it. But should you? I mean, it's not even yours. It's just so... interesting. Also, you'll notice a sign in your common rooms stating that, while all of the students will be returning tomorrow, classes will not begin again for another two weeks due to funeral arrangements. |
Sorry it took so long...Internets been out the past two days Quote:
Scrubbing a hand across her face Fiona took a deep breath. She took a good look at her sister and shook her head. Kalliope could be a pain in the butt even at the best of times, but there was always a way to deal with her. Though, cursing her was so not it. "Blaire, there are going to be people who aren't going to be sympathetic to what we are going through. What she did and said wasn't very civilized but that doesn't mean we have to sink to her level." Her voice was level and even, conflicting with her feelings inside. She put a tight lid on those though. Now was not the time to let her emotions get the better of her. "Look, I'm going to go and get something to eat...you wanna join me?" |

Leaning forward over the table, Dal looked at the picture that Monday was looking at. He eyed it for a while before sitting back down in his seat, not sure what to say. "Somethings missing from Hogwarts..." he said slowly, thinking about Monday's dream once again, "But Hogwarts doesn't want you to know?" Well that was weird. He sighed, looking down at the book in front of him again. It looked sort of interesting - was it a...journal? He dropped a hand on top of it, feeling the cover. Curious, he flicked at the pages, feeling a slight puff of air on his hand as each page fell. "Hey, do you know who's this is?" he asked suddenly, looking up at Monday. |
