••KA: RPotW•• -> Per Ardua Ad Astra II Per Ardua Ad Astra Through....adversity to the stars... I know a lot of people are making up all these extravagant RPGs right now, you know, combining shows and movies and other themes with Harry Potter, but I really wanted to take it back to basics. I mean, we all know Harry's story, we read about it for hours on end because we can't put the book down. And we know some things about Harry's parents, but the rest is really just guess work. I know there are a few Marauder's RP's out right now but I never seem to join them on time so I decided to make my own. James Potter, Remus Lupin, Sirius Black, Peter Petigrew and Lily Evans all fascinate me and since we don't have any books written on them, it's really up to us to make up their story. So that's why I've made up this RP. It's based on the relationships of James and his best friends as well as the relationship of James and Lily, after all, without James and Lily, there would be no....the boy who lived and no defeat of the great Dark Wizard, Lord Voldemort. It's based on the struggles they all go through and how they work to overcome them. I have no real prference to how we take this, but I have a few things to help the plot along. I would like them to be in sixth year, and at this point, Lily still "hates" James, or at least acts like it. Once we've got more into the RP, we can start to make decisions as to when they should start dating. But this RP isn't only focused on those two, it also is about Sirius, Lupin and Peter and even Snape. Seeing as we don't know many of the students who would have attended at that time, we will have a bunch of made ups to play those characters. You guys can basically make up any relationships, except for the one we know, James and Lily, but by all means, either of them could date other students before they start dating each other. So have fun and let's try and make this a great RP, please only ask for characters if you will be committed. Also, a huge pet peeve of mine is ONE SENTENCE POSTS, so please don't do that, try to go into some detail, have something intersting to say to move the plot along, hehe. Happy writing. Her parents divorced three years after she was born, so she doesn’t really remember anything about her father. After her parents parted, her father never really bothered to come back and visit. She isn’t very trusting when she first meets people, but once she is sure they aren’t out to stab her in the back, she opens up and makes friends rather quickly. She loves to listen to rock music (both muggle and wizard genres), she loves to paint, and also she has been doing ballet since she was three years old. However, she doesn’t disclose that bit of information to too many people. Being the youngest in her family, Sloane strives to be independent and an individual. Her mother’s overprotected nature has caused her to be a bit rebellious when it comes to following rules or being the model child. She is far from being perfect and she doesn’t mind it at all. |

Lily Evans said her final goodbyes to her family and headed through the barrier at platform 9 3/4. Her mother as per usual was teary eyed, her father busy conforting her, and of course, Petunia stood there looking indifferent with a most unpleasant look on her face. Lily shook her family from her mind as she stepped through the barrier. Her stomache always fluttered slightly as she passed through it, as if in worry that this could all be an amazing dream that she suddenly had to awaken from. She sighed with relief as she passed though the solid looking barrier, and stepped out on the other side into the hustle and bustle of all the Hogwarts students rushing around to get on the train. Her stomache gave a small flutter with excitement at the thought of returning to Hogwarts. She tossed her long red hair back over her shoulder and headed on to the train, her trunk dragging behind her. With a flick of her wand, she levitated her trunk the rest of the way down the corridor, finally stopping near the back of the train where there was an empty compartment reserved for the prefects and their belongings. She quickly changed into her robes, carefully pinning on her Prefect badge. She headed back up the corridor,searching for some of her friends but couldn't find any of them, she assumed they hadn't arrived yet. She quickly headed back out onto the platform to assist some tiny first years on to the train.... |
Ally tucked a lock of auburn hair behind her ear repeadly as she moved down the platform. She pulled her trunk with great difficulty, her strength wasn't that great even though her mind was. She was ready to be at Hogwarts already. Actually, she was ready to be at the library already. So many books, so little time. No one had shared her appretiation, but Lily Evans was the closest one who did. She and Ally had studied together many times. Speaking of Lily, she was assisting first years. Ally picked up her pace and now walked beside her best friend. "Hey," she said with a wide grin. "Have a good summer?" |
Severus Snape walked onto the train after being practically abandoned there by his furious mother. He scowled openly at the happy people surrounding him as he tried to find a compartment. A dull blotchy flush painted his face as Serverus caught sight of a certain red-haired individual. Oh, no, he thought as he rushed past Lily and into the nearest compartment he could find. |
A raven haired girl could be seen walking along side the train. Her hair wasn’t the neatest but surprisingly she looked quite stylish with her messy locks. Sloane pulled her massive trunk behind her as she struggled to get to the train. The departure from her mother and sisters had been the same as the previous years. Rules and regulations were discussed and then the waterworks began. Sloane never cried when it came time to leave, simply because she was going off to school; not dying. But her mother never failed to shed a few tears. Finally putting away her trunk Sloane entered the train. Walking down the narrow corridors she made sure to not bump into anyone. As she passed a compartment she noticed Severus Snape sitting alone. Giving him a curious glance she quickly made her way into an empty compartment that wasn’t being occupied. Always alone… she thought to herself. Still after all this time of going to school with him she never understood why he was such a loner. Looking out the window she wondered what the coming year held in store for her and her school mates. |
Severus was just regaining his composure when he looked up and saw someone looking at him. It was a fleeting glance, but the girl was looking at him. No one ever looked at Severus, unless it was to yell something nasty or unkind to him. Yet the girl said nothing. How odd. Snape pushed the matter from his mind and refocused on removing the pink flush from his cheeks. |
Lily turned quickly to help a first year who almost toppled over from the weight of her trunk, and out of the corner of her eye saw Severus hustle past her. She didn't really have time to think about it, or even bother to scowl at him for all the nasty names he usually called her. After helping the first year onto the train, she turned to see her best friend coming towards her. "Ally!" she said giving her a quick hug. "You look gorgeous as always, how was your last few weeks of summer?" Lily said happily. She had seen Ally a few weeks prior but compared to living with her every day at Hogwarts, a few weeks felt like eternity. |

Remus smiled smugly as he glanced up at the scarlet red train that waited for him and the others to take them to Hogwarts. Ahh.. Hogwarts. A sarcred second home that was like a much needed vacation everytime he went. He stood in one spot a moment, looking out for the others. It would not be hard to find them after all... |
