"Eh, you'd theenk I proposed to her," he echoed to a smirking friend from across the table, reminding himself to perhaps write her an owl of apology----wait, if this is what she just did to him, sending a poor innocent owl into the line of fire was just cruelty. The vampire rolled his baby blue eyes and winked half-heartedly in the direction of a beaming red-head. Why must she embed so hard on him? Nothing like that has ever happened since...no...no...shut up Nich. Bringing her up is just....pointless. He sighed, leaning forward and watching the odd girl with a samurai flare leave. She even looked like her....

He felt bad. He honestly did. Who was this kind of Nich anyway? An alter-ego denied air?

Watching her attack her breakfast, Draco placed a hand gently over hers, stilling her movements. 'You know Serena, it's something we're going to have to live with for a long time yet. Although, it won't be too bad. I've got you by my side, am I correct?' He asked, imploring her.

Feeling his hand on her's, she looked at him slowly. "Of course you do." She promised him. "We can get through everything our families throw at us." She said, more to herself than to Draco. Making eye contact with him, she smiled gently.

Serena loved this side of Draco. The side where he was capable of showing friendship. She wished more people could see it but was sort of glad, she was one of the few that got to see this more intimate side of him.

'Ooh, someone's woken on the wrong side of bed, have they?' Draco teased, his eyes alight, a crooked smirk edging over his mouth. 'I do like 'em feisty,' he murmured seriously, nodding his head in mock approval. Lifting his glass of pumpkin juice in his long fingers, he examined it absently, before taking a long sip, then holding it in front of him, his steel grey eyes all the while watching Serena from over the rim of the glass.
Listening to his comment, she smiled to herself. "I'm sure you do." She retorted, commenting on his last relationship with Pansy Parkinson. Shaking her head, she was still confused as to what he had seen in her, she observed the students sitting at their own table. Looking them over, she noticed a Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw sitting with some of his Slytherin friends. Raising an eyebrow at this interhouse friendship, she shook her head. Next thing you know, there would be Gryffindors at their table next.

Though he was not so arrogant to jump to conclusions but he couldn't help himself but smile slightly at the though she was blushing because of him but when he heard Harry's question he pulled himself together.

He had already thought about what he was gonna say if they asked about his past and such, so he was quite ready for this.

"You might've guessed from my name but I'm from France and used to live there."He said, this was the truth ofcourse but he didn't mention that this was actually over a century ago.
"But I didn't go to Beauxbatons or any other school for that matter, I was homeschooled at a military base my dad used to work."He pulled his hand trough his hair before he continued his story.

"Well that was until my dad passed away and my mother died while giving birth to me."He faked getting a bit emotional, and cleared his troath once before he continued once again."After that I didn't really feel like staying at the base anymore and somehow I ended up here because of British relatives."

"I'm so sorry."Harry said, he thought he could identify with him a bit seeing as they were both orphans.
But there sure are a lot of new students lately."He said trying to change the subject.

Hermione looked at him in horror, wanting to give him a hug. She felt quite awkward standing next to these two who had such horrible family experiences while she had a loving mother and father at home. "I'm sorry." She murmured to him. She couldn't even think of not having her parents with her. Sure, she was at Hogwarts alone without them but they had been with her for most of her life.

Glad that Harry was changing the subject, she had really no idea what to say to Lelouch, she commented on the extra students too. "I've never seen so many of them at once." She said as they walked into the Great Hall. Choosing a seat, she looked at the Cullen's who were sitting near her. "Their all so perfect too. It's like they all stepped out of a movie."

Silverstone 03-25-2008 01:19 AM

Lelouch took a seat next to Hermione while Harry sat across him.

"You shouldn't judge people by appearance, I doubt those people are as perfect as you think they are."Lelouch said as he looked around, he noticed there were quite a few vampires in the room and that they were probably those that looked as if they stepped out of a movie.
He wondered how she would think about them if she knew what they were but on the other hand how would she think about him if she knew what he really was.

Harry remained quiet for the moment since he was busy filling his plate with breakfast before he started eating while looking around the great hall.
"They do have something odd to them you know, they all have this air about them and their quite pale, could they all be related or some...."Harry stopped talking when his eyes set upon Lelouch and realized that Lelouch was exactly like those other people.
"Ahem, so Hermione what class do we have later?"

Bella looked at Edward as she sat down, shaking her head. 'Edward,' she moaned, before her stomach rumbled softly. Blushing, she looked at the food, grabbing some toast. 'Sorry,' she muttered before taking a bite. 'I didn't realise how hungry I was.'

The blush was spreading, and she felt mortified at herself. Looking away from Edward, she allowed her hair to form a curtain between them, to hide her cheeks.
Edward smiled. "Of course you didn't," he said, kissing her forehead as he pretended to be occupied with a random drink.

Seth looked up, confused. 'What's wrong with being a Hufflepuff? I really don't get the differences between all these houses. I mean, do they even really matter?'
Embry shrugged. "I dunno," he said. "But when you're in a different house then the others, it makes things difficult," he smiled.

Quote:

Quill grinned at his friend, while shoveling a whole piece of toast in his mouth at the same time. The word Hufflepuff sounded ridiculous. Actually all the house names sounded ridiculous. "Being a Ravenclaw isn't much better. Everyone in that house is genius. Slightly nerdy too." Quill told Embry, selecting a corn muffin and buttering it. "Just watching everyone in that common room read and do homework is giving my brain a headache." He complained.
"What does that mean you are?" Embry laughed. "Nerd," he said, shoving something he didn't quite know in his mouth.

Quote:

"Hi Embry" Jacob said, realising just know, that Embry was in the Slytherin table as well. Embry seemed happy too. Well, at least somebody was.

After hearing his comment, Jacob looked back at him. He would much rather be the only one in Hufflepuff. That way he wouldn't have to deal with Leah and the smell of the two bloodsuckers in the common room.
Embry smiled. "Good morning, Jake," he said. He felt the bad vibes radiating from his friend. He sighed, shoving another peice of who-knows-what in his mouth.

Ron tucked his wand away be for putting one his shoes. He hurried from the boys dorm to the common room. Expecting to find Hermione scowling at him for sleieping in so late.

He wrapped a bandage over a students arm and patted it. "Off you go, don't miss class." he joked to the young first year.

He found the whole school regime laughable. Even back in Forks. Argus Filch was also a surprisingly 'painful' experience to deal with. It seemed as Emmett's size didn't grant him any favors when he was trying to set off a stink bomb of suspend a Slytherin from the ceiling, pledging allegiance to the various hues of knickers. Needless to say Rosalie was disapproving of the long-lost teen behavior Emmett just couldn't relinquish. Needless to say, the crowd of giggling girls who took a mysterious fancy to him weren't helping the relationship. Must he get a badge with Rosalie's face on it? It's not like he wouldn't.
So, he got his fix for today by stealing THE cat. Mrs. Norris was properly sedated with the force of a dead rat inside this trivial backpack. Crunching of bones clacked a rhythm to which Emmett hummed rather obnoxiously. Now, what to do with the insufferable moggy?

[COLOR="SeaGreen"]Alice having grown tired of watching the students forcing food into their mouths had wandered out of the great hall and now was dawdling around the castle, having nothing to do at all. As she walked past a group of students, she heard them talking at a fast pace about the the three new "amazingly beautiful" Guys in seventh year. Of course she knew who they were on about instantly. The girls watched her as she walked past before starting their conversation again. After cooling off down at the lake Carly Jones started to make her way to her first class of the day: Charms. It wasn't a boring class but it wasn't exactly fascinating. But of course nothing was fascinating to Carly. However she managed to pass it by getting an A in it. She'd def. gotten her father's brains.

As Carly meandered down the hallway, she cursed silently as her book bag split open at the seam. Scraps of parchment, quills, ink and books rolled down the hallway. And to Carly's horror a happy picture of her, Maura and her parents fluttered out too.

Lelouch was slightly amused by Harry's reaction but he somehow got the impression that it wouldn't take long for Harry or Hermione till they found out that he and the other kids were vampires, the two seemed to be very curious or something and besides it wasn't much of a puzzler.
Probably the only reason they didn't realise rightaway that they were vampires was because they didn't expect vampires to be at the school.

But very well for now his secret was safe and so he could try having a normal life for once.

"So transfiguration and charms..."Lelouch repeated, he wasn't sure what to say seeing as there was some obvious discomfort after Harry's words.
But luckily someone arrived at the table and he hoped this would make the rest forget about the link between him and the other new students.

"Goodmorning Ron."Harry said."I saved a seat for you."He gestured to the empty seat next to him.
"Oh this is Lelouch, one of the new students."

Lelouch stood up to extend a hand towards the redheaded boy.
"Lelouch Lamperouge, nice to meet you."

He wanted a quiet place to laugh his brains out while desiring nothing more or less than to apologize for hurting a woman so. Who was he when he spoke so irrationally? Hopefully this disease of egotism was incommunicable.

Speak of the devil. She passed him, her bag splitting open with a terrfic crash that sent midnight black ink splattering a collage against the crisply pressed hem of his trousers. Nich bit his tongue to refrain from swearing. She looked...helpless. Sighing, he obliged his feet to wander over.

"I need to apologize for that little performance back there," he began in a softer, shyer tone than before while his hands effortlessly scooped up the splayed parchment. Nevermind the photos. He didn't pay attention to such silly memorandums of the past. "So, I am sorry." Nich hushed himself, prepared for the bombs this time. This task was from merely the kindness of his heart. Maybe it would assuage her enough to actually speak a few words of casual conversation. Which was just what he ardently hoped for.

"Yeah," Embry said casually. Something clicked in his mind moments later. Classes. "Oh, shouldn't we be leaving?" he laughed, getting his bag. "What's Ravenclaws got first?" he asked his friend.

Embry groaned. Stupid classes. Not like he even tried nor payed attention in them anyways.. but still they were annoying.

He grabbed a torn and ripped schedule from his pants pocket and scanned it. "Charms." He announced disdainfully. "What about you Hufflepuffs? Maybe I'll just ditch mine and go with you to yours." Quill stated, grinning.

Carly bent down and quickly tried to grab all of her stuff at once. Her cheeks were burning a faint pink - even though no one else was around to witness that embarrasing scene. Or so she had thought.

Carly's dark eyes flew up at the sound of that familiar voice. Was he seriously apologizing? And helping her? Carly bit her lip back, trying to restrain herself from making a catty, sarcastic retort. After all she was already half-way through her seventh year and would most likely never seen him again after school ended. But it wasn't like Carly was ready to get all buddy-buddy with him. A few polite words here and there was sufficient. The end. Good-bye.

"Thanks." She said simply, taking her parchment and other assorted junk from him before realizing she no longer had a bag to put anything in.

Embry took the schedule from his back pocket, balancing it on his palm. "Same here," he said. "Don't worry about skipping," he laughed, shoving it in his pocket again. "You'd probably get in too much trouble, but who cares?" he grinned, fishing out his Charms book and throwing his bag around his shoulder. "Charms will probably be the only class Huffies have with Ravenclaws," he added sadly. "I've got a free period after that, though."

He looked at the floor as they began to turn to the Charms corridor. He thought about Claire for some reason. Claire, Emily, and Kim. He wondered what they were doing. He bet Quil, Sam, and Jared were feeling really weird to be without them. He laughed, wondering how that came up.

"Welcome," he replied amicably, but warily yet, unable to take his eyes from what her hands were doing. He couldn't smirk or smile, like he was having a paralysis from a stroke. She smelled delicious...who knew that blood could portray the smell of roses as well as its singular seductive aroma. Nich's throat closed and his eyes hurriedly slipped to the stone vertigo of the floor. Disadainful cracks and vagabond specks of dust. No blood. No blood at all. However, a monster named Clammy broke a levy of cold beads of sweat collecting at his temples. His fangs roared like racecars, hungry to devour the track.

"Here...are...the rest of your things," he stammered distantly before muttering a quick incantation so the seam in her bag stayed put. "Um, sorry once more and I must be off." Nich was painfully aware of how dark his irises turned suddenly. That lucid scent! Maddening! "See ya around," he coughed, stumbling nimbly to his feet and striding down the length of the corridor. For one split second, it appeared as though his broad shoulders turned back and his Tahoe blue orbs met her in cordiality. It could have been a descriptive mirage that Nich Sergienov gave Carly Jones an honest, highly contrite grin.
