Tonks was glad George was happy again. For a while back in NY he seemed to have fallen into some sort of distanced mood. She had fully lapsed back into her true appearance as she was kissed once again by George who seemed reluctant to release her , despite his suggestion that they put Dani's presents away. "Yeah and we don't know when they'll be back up here, either. What would Professor Sinistra think if she saw us up here?" |
Harry smiled down at Ginny. He pulled her closer so that her head was leaning on his shoulder. He wanted to be as close to her as he could. He kissed her forehead and played with her hair between his fingers. |
Ginny snuggled against Harry and twined her legs with his. "I'm glad we waited, Harry, and I'm glad that I could help satisfy one of your fantasies. I hope you have more of those for us to work on." She kissed him soundly before shivering. "I'm getting cold." She looked up at the blue sky, feeling the late afternoon air nip at her bare skin. "I don't care what she thinks," George grinned crookedly and continued to hold her close. "If I let you go, how do I know that you'll ever let me kiss you again?" He moved the hand from her face to stroke her silky dark hair. It was lovely and looked right on her. |
Harry nodded and sat up. Their clothes were laying around them. He gethered them up and pulled on his boxers before helping Ginny get dressed. When she had her nice underwear set on, he slipped her blue tank tp over her head and then the brown sweater. He handed her her pants and pulled on his own clothes. He ran his hand through his hair and walked over to the fully dressed Ginny. "My beautiful Weasley..." He gave her a kiss on the forehead and took her hand in his. |
Ginny pulled up Harry's shirt and ran her fingers along his stomach. "Soon enough I'll be your beautiful Potter. Where to next, Mr. Potter? Think you can find something to top the Quidditch fantasy? What would you say if I told you I'm going to tell my brothers that I'm sharing a bed with you from now on?" |
"Nothing could top the quidditch fantasy. Especially seeing as how it was played out so wonderfully." Harry stopped and stared at Ginny. "Tell your brothers?" He asked, his voice getting a little high and nervous. "You aren't going to do that, are you? I truly fear for my life, Gin." |
"You can't hold onto me forever so, I guess that's just a chance you're going to have to take," she smiled before leaning her head on his shoulder, enjoying the feel of his fingers in her hair. |
"Its the next best thing to being your wife, Harry. You can't think that they'll hurt you, and they can't expect me to be a child forever. I'd like to be able to share a bed with you and it would be better to do it openly than sneak around. But... we don't have to. It was silly." George grinned again and placed a kiss on Tonks' forehead before letting her go. "Okay, let's give Dani her gifts and get out of here." He pulled the house from his pocket and regrew it in the corner of Dani's room. The stuffed animals were thrown on her bed and George stepped back to admire their work. |
"No... you're right," Harry said, running a hand through his hair, messing it up. "It's not silly. I agree that we should do it. But, honestly... your brothers scare me when it comes to you." |
"It looks good to me. She's going to be so surprised... I hope she enjoys them and that Professor Sinistra doesn't kill us for spoiling her child," Tonks added, laughing. She hooked her arm through George's. "Let's go." |
"Okay, so we won't tell my brothers right now. We'll tell them when you feel ready for it. But... do you feel ready for me to share a bed with you? I don't want to rush you, but... I want to be with you." "She won't know who did it, so she can't be too angry at anyone in particular. Let's go out the front door this time," George led her to the main door of the room and opened it, unsurprised to find himself at the landing leading into the classroom. "I knew this wall was hiding something. It should have opened for me." |
"Of course I want to share a bed with you. I'm completely sure with that. But, if we're doing that, we should tell your brothers. If they happened to see without us telling them, well, that would be even worse than telling them and seeing their immediate reactions." |
Ginny smiled wanly and dropped Harry's hand, moving ahead of him. "Its still all so complicated, isn't it, Harry? I love you and want to be with you, and it seems like the same is true for you. It should be that simple. But... it isn't. Its all so mixed up. So many people making us act a certain way and believe certain things are okay or not okay." |
Harry nodded. "That's why it would be ideal if we could just run away and live on some secluded, deserted island. But... if the people who care about this stuff really care about us, then... they will let us be." |

Ginny turned and walked backwards. "So... what do you want to do? You decide. They already know we're in love." George considered his options as they stopped by a window overlooking the grounds. "Well, considering that we just did all the things I wanted... you can choose. Anything in particular you've been missing at Hogwarts?" |
"What do you think? We can't just walk up to Fred and George... and Ron, and say 'We'll be sleeping together, because we're in love, so don't get too weirded out by it.' It has to sound... professional-like." |
Ginny nodded. "Yes, that's a good point. We should just wait until we figure out where we're staying the night. I suppose if they stick us in the dormitory its a moot point, but if we head on somewhere else... we'll just tell them that we prefer to room together because we're going to be married anyway." |
"Oh, I miss taking my broom around the stadium," Tonks said, her eyes lighting up at the prospect of flying around the stands. |
"Okay," George nodded his head and pulled Tonks toward the stairs. "Let's go break into the Quidditch shed and take a few laps. I haven't flown in a while, but I bet I've still got it. Maybe I can teach you a few things." He wiggled his eyebrows at her. |
"Maybe but, despite what you'd think, I'm not a bad flyer myself... At least I wasn't bad when I was in school," Tonks said, smiling at his wiggling eyebrows and skipping with him down the corridor- she was just asking for a disaster. |
George was flying down the corridors with Tonks when she hit a crack in the floor and started to fall. George swung her and kept her from falling, but he nearly fell himself. "Tonks... we aren't going to make it outside at this rate. We're going to have to do this the safest way possible." He tossed her over his shoulder and took off at breakneck speed again. |
She squealled as he zoomed down the corridors and stairs and out the door. "You are going to kill me one of these days, George," she scolded, kicking her feet to be let down. |
George managed to make it all the way outside with Tonks without falling. Once on the grounds, however, he set her gently on her feet. "Before we go flying, I really need to do an emergency test. Are you game?" |
"Okay..." Harry thought that over. Last time he was sleeping in the same bed because he was going to get married anyway, Ginny came along. "But, Gin, you have to promise me that you won't let me fall in love with some other gorgeous redhead, because that kind of ruined my last relationship. Even though the new one is really... love." |
