Burton Cottage Zhenya Burton was coming home for the summer, but not just alone. She was planning on having visits from her two good friends Raven and Desiree. It was a two storey home which had a lovely 'homey' feeling. There are 7 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, 1 kitchen, and two living areas. Scene 1 - Zhenya awaited the arrival of her friends by decorating two spare bedrooms with fresh green towels and bedding, and putting up lanterns. Scene 2 - As Zhenya and her friends go back to Hogwarts, Lisabel finds herself once again in a lonely house with her husband, Alexander. But not for long - their Son, Dimitri, has returned from holiday. Scene 3 - Archer has come to Burton Cottage, and the twins are being born. When Zhenya got home to her cottage she ran through the front door and up stairs. She went to her room, which was the first door on the Right at the top of the stairs. Her light green bed spread looked so comfortable right now and she took a running jump to sprawl on it for a while. When she got up she decided it was time to fix the spare bedrooms. They were both across the hall from each other, and they were next to Zhenya's bedroom. She put new green covers on the bed and pillows, and fresh towels in their bathrooms. Then she got out some decorative lanterns and, with help from her mother, had them suspended around the ceiling in no time. It was lovely! She opened the curtains and tucked them into their holders, and opened the windows. Then she skipped down the stairs to help her mum bake some cookies for everyone!! |
an Eagle owl came to the Burton Cottage in Godric's Hollow. It had a very long journey from Essex so that's why the owl looked tired. No one noticed that in his leg, there was a roll of parchment. Desiree stumbled a little upon landing, her mum swirling into place lightly beside her. "Well come along Kiana." she said and started off in a brisk walk towards the door. Desiree didn't know about her mum, but she felt like she was going to.. well, lose her breakfast. Got to love apparition. Shaking it off she started to pull along her luggage, all of it. "Mum, a little help here?" she asked struggling. She turned around, "Oh I'm sorry hunny, here" she swished her wand and all the luggage rose into the air. Much better. She hadn't wanted to forget anything so she just brought.. everything. Literally. She had spent all day yesterday packing, plus it didn't help that her mum kept fussing, making her add more.. Did you pack that? Well what about that? Do you think you'll need this? Her mum worried too much, but this was the first time she had ever let Desiree go and stay at a friend's house. She just prayed that she approved. They stopped at the door and Desiree took a good look around for the first time. She admired the home and the quaint little garden. Looking around the rest of the neighborhood, she saw similar houses all along the road. She was definitely going to like it here, well of course she would, she was going to be with Zhenya and Raven! Suddenly excited she knocked on the wooden door eagerly awaiting her friend, her mom looking less than enthusiastic about the whole thing. |
Zhenya was sitting at the kitchen table licking the bowl used to mix the cookie dough. It was great! Then she heard a faint flapping noise and looked up at the window just in time to see an owl fly through. She frowned and her mother got the letter from the owl's foot and offered it something to drink and a few owl treats. "It's for you," she said giving her the letter. Zhenya opened it and read it twice. She put it on the table and heard a knock. Looking up at her mum she jumped off the chair and ran to the door. She had brushed her straight brown hair and clipped it back, and was wearing a pair of light blue tight jeans and a sheer black blouse with a black singlet underneath. She jumped up to peep through the hole and saw an unfamiliar woman and... Desiree!! She opened the door with a large smile and hugged Desiree. "Hi Desiree, this is my mum Lisabel," she said introducing her. Her mother smiled and greeted, "Hello Desiree, and this must be your mother, I'm Lisabel," she said holding a hand out to her mother. Lisabel was wearing her very conservative and well-groomed teaching clothing that she wore to school. It was a pinstripe black pinafore with a black cardigan and a pair of black heels. "I'm not sure if Raven will be coming... she's at a family mansion and doesn't think they will let her come," she said. She was quite upset, she was looking forward to a lovely Summer with her two best friends. She knew she would have a great time with Desiree though, but the complete gang would have been great. |
A twelve year old girl walked to the Godric's Hollow. She was accompanied by a man beside her. They walked in silence, no conversation was held while they journey to Godric's Hollow until the man opened his mouth. The man decided to start to talk with his sister. "Raven, listened to me please. Are you sure you wanna do this?" asked the man to the girl. "I don't have any idea, Adler. I was very upset with our family now. I want to spend my summer with my besties, forget all of problems at home, eh I mean at mansion. It was not my home now!" said the young girl flat. "I know you were very angry, but this IS not the way to solve the problem!" said Adler bold. "I know that is very hard to tell you the truth, and I also don't know about it. I think you must talk with our parents" he continued the conversation. Raven thought hard. She raised her glasses and took a very deep breath. "I'm not ready for that, Adler." Then both of them arrive to a house. "By the way, I just doubt why you decided to change your appearance? You wanted to undercover?" asked Adler. Raven just nodded to him. "Okay, I think you only need to deliver me until here. I will try to meet Mom and Dad later before school term. Just say to them that I just spend my summer with with my friend and don't say that I am here. Okay? I will miss you, and good luck in Russia." she kissed Adler's cheek, then Adler left her. Raven knocked the door and wait until anyone will open it. Hopefully Zhenya knew her. |
Zhenya opened the door. She was still hoping Raven would come over, but couldn't be sure. "Hello? Can I help you?" she asked the girl at the door. Her heart sank a little, she was just hoping it was Raven. She had never seen this girl before. She was too young to be there for anyone but her. Perhaps Desiree knew her. "Desiree, can you come here?" she yelled behind her. |

Zhenya frowned slightly and bend her head to the side. "Raven...?" she asked quietly, looking the girl over. She looked like a stranger, but spoke like her friend. She knew Raven's voice! She smiled widely and swung her arms around Raven's neck and hugged her. "Come in, come in!!" she said. "Desiree and her mum are here too, MUM It's Raven! She came," Zhenya yelled out. |
Raven smiled and received Zhenya's hug. Finally Zhenya knew who she was. "I knew that at first you didn't recognize me!"said her glad. She was very glad to meet her besties. Raven brought all of her belongings and entered Zhenya's house. She saw Desiree too and an older woman, maybe it was Desiree's mom. "Hey DESIREE!!!" said her gladly. |
The door swung open and Desiree was immediately pulled into a hug by her friend. "Hi Zhenya!" she greeted her smiling before turning to the other women, Zhenya's mom. "It's nice to meet you mam" she said politely. "Pleasure to meet you Isabel, I'm Lucille." she returned the handshake, even forming something close to a genuine smile."And it's nice to finally meet you Zhenya, Kiana has told me lots of things about you." she said warmly but added an extra emphasis on the Kiana. Desiree let out a sigh. "And I'm sure Kiana is going to have a lovely time at your house.." she said trailing off at the end and looking around. As her mom eyed the place, probably judging whether or not it was a good enough place for her daughter to stay. *eye roll* Desiree brought her luggage inside the house and suddenly the smell of cookies met her nose."Are you guys cooking?" she asked curiously, walking a little farther into the house. She stopped when she heard Zhenya call her over. Walking back over to the door she saw a girl standing there, she looked around their age.. but Desiree had definitely never seen her before. Right before she was going to ask if Zhenya invited someone else the girl called out to her. “Uh, Hi..” she said confused to how the girl knew her name. But that voice.. it sounded like, but no it couldn’t be.. “Raven?” she asked a little unsure. But realizing it really was her friend she pulled her into a hug. “It’s so good to see you!” Even if she didn’t look like herself.. did she use polyjuice potion or something? and if so.. why? |
See? Neither Zhenya nor Desiree knew her that she WAS their friend. Hello, I'm still Raven Avicenna Charlotte! Your friend! she thought. Raven was totally different from her style in first year. She decided to dyed her hair became dark brown and wearing glasses. "Hello! What's wrong, huh? Did I totally change, so none of them didn't know me as Raven Avicenna Charlotte?" she asked with giggle. None of them knew why she decided to change her style. |
Zhenya smiled at Desiree's mother, who had heard about her. She really hoped she liked their home. "Yes we made cookies! They are delicious, my mother has a secret ingredient which she doesn't tell me," she said. She giggled at Raven. "Oh you know, you just changed a little bit," she said rolling her eyes in a friendly way. "Well come in I'll show you both to your rooms," she said, taking a bag from each of them and leading the way up the stairs. "That's my room," she said indicating the first room on the landing, and indicating the room right across from her she said "That's my brother's room, and these two here are yours," she said pointing to the two bedrooms next to hers and her brother's. "There's fresh towels and sheets and everything." |
Raven followed Zhenya reached the upstairs with her belongings. Zhenya's house was not as large as Charlotte's mansion, but Raven felt 'the home atmosphere' here. Zhenya was very enthusiast to show the room where Desiree and her will stay there. Raven was very glad to be in Burton cottage, she felt very comfortable. It was different when she still stayed at Charlotte's mansion, it was quiet, horrible, old, and the house elves were very annoying! Hey, did Zhenya have house elf? Raven didn't see that silly ugly and DISGUSTING creature. Then, they arrived at the guest bedroom. It looked similar with her old bedroom in Liverpool Man, I miss Liverpool VERY MUCH she thought. "Wow, the bedroom is very nice! I like it." said her. "Thanks!" She put all of her belongings in the room. "By the way, Zhenya." she asked. "You don't have house elf, right?" |
Zhenya was standing in the room where Raven would be staying and was dazing up at the lanterns in the room. Raven scared her a little when she spoke. House elf? What's a house elf? She frowned slightly at Raven trying to comprehend the question - still in her daydream, then suddenly understood. "OHHHHHH," she let out from understanding. "No, not any more. We had one that was with us since before I was born but she died a few years ago. So we got a cat. She was lovely though. We rarely saw her, she did everything at night pretty much. But mother refuses to get another one. How come?" she asked. |
just want to tell you, Raven's bday is on August ^__^ "that's GOOD. All of the house elves in the Mansion were very irritating. I hate them." said her flat. She didn't very understand with her grandma who had five house elves in the mansion. FIVE??!! What's on Lucia's brain to have many house elves in the house? Gah, she never understood about her grandma. Then she reached the small bed. It was not as large as her bed in her house, but it was fluffy and comfortable. Suddenly she wanted to see Zhenya's bedroom. "I wonder what your bedroom looks like." she smiled. |
Zhenya nodded her head understanding that it really depend on what temperament the Elves were as to whether humans started liking them or not. Raven must have had some pretty bad elves if she hated them. "Oh, well come this way," she said walking to her room. She opened the door to a large room. There was a joint bathroom between her and the next door bedroom. There was a large King Sized bed with light green covers. It was a cotton material and the quilt was so fluffy and thick that when she jumped to sit on it, it puffed around her. "It's like a cloud," she said, beckoning Raven to jump too. The bed was four poster with a mesh material coming down. "It's a mosquito net," she said smiling. Of course there were no mosquitos here but she had been given it as a child and she loved falling asleep with it closed around her. There was white fluffy carpet in the room, and she had a mahogany, old fashioned dresser with a mirror. There was another door, which was white. Inside was her walk in robe. It was rather large, but she didn't need it. She kept growing out of her clothes which were taken to the charity bin constantly. But her mother had insisted when they built the house. There was also a desk with a huge assortment of stationary and papers, and her bedroom door itself was sandwiched between two floor to ceiling bookcases which were full of books. Zhenya looked around and had a feeling of comfort wash over her. "I really miss it here when I'm at Hogwarts. Although now that I'm here, I miss Hogwarts! Hey - it's your birthday! Mum and I wanted to throw you a party. What do you say? She has already cooked everything though, so you can't really say no," she said and giggled. |
Zhenya showed her own bedroom, it looked bery nice and cozy place for her. Her bedroom was so neat, with a fluffy king-size bed, an old fashion wardrobe, and she has sooo many books! She saw Zhenya jumped to her bed and she wanted too. So Raven jumped too and they lied on there, staring on the ceiling. "You have your private library, right? Hahaha!" she said. Then she awake and saw Zhenya's books collections. Most of them were about Magical Theory. blah, BORING! Raven also had some books in her own bedroom, but most of them were muggle fictional books. She loved read them and her favorite was Sherlock Holmes and the Picture of Dorian Gray. Suddenly Zhenya asked her to go out and.. WHAT? Zhenya and her mom had prepared food for her birthday party? Wow, actually she almost forgot that she will reach twelve years old this month. "Are you... kidding? Really?" Raven felt very surprised, and glad too. |
"No we are not kidding," Lisabel said with a smile. "Zhenya and I cooked everything today and last night, ready for a party!" Zhenya was beaming at her mum, so happy to be having a party! Especially one for her friend. "Now we haven't invited any of Zhenya's friends from Hogwarts, but if you wanted anyone to come you can send them an Owl. Invite whoever you want," Lisabel said, still smiling kindly. She turned and they heard her walking down the stairs. "So, anyone you want to invite?" she asked Raven. |

OOC: WHAT!? I didn't even know they had the train up! Umm we can continue :) something else to do, right? "Russia? Wow! You noticed my mother's accent didn't you? I'm quite glad you understood her! Some of her students don't understand her..." she said, trying not to laugh at her mother's strong Russian accent. She sometimes tried to make it less strong, by speaking with a British accent. "Well food will be ready tonight for dinner!" she said. |

Once the kids had gone back to Hogwarts for the Summer, Lisabel began cleaning up the rooms, making sure everything was in its proper place and nothing was out of place. She spend a week cleaning the house, after that Zhenya had messed it all up again. All the stickiness in the kitchen, not washing her hands after she ate chocolate, and the soap and toothpaste spills in the bathroom... |

Dimitri just back from his long period travelling. He had left this house for a long time. Two years, maybe? He forgot it. He left England when he had graduated from Hogwarts and his sister, Zhenya just started her new life in Hogwarts. He really missed his sister although sometimes she was soooooo.... annoying. He walked to his house in Godrics Hollow. Well.. Seemed there was nothing different from the last time he stepped his foot here. He also noticed that there was nothing different too. Hmmm... Dimitri still wore his sunglasses and knocked the door *knock knock knock* |
