A hufflepuff boy, and a ravenclaw girl with a bucket list. There are arguments, and some 'agree to disagree' moments. Awkward, confused monologues and arrangements. And amongst it all is a friendship. These are the ventures of Noel Wallace and Maddison Cooper

Scene one:
Two students can be seen chatting in front of the student bulletin board on the ground floor, the taller boy busy toying with what looks like a poster. One which advertises the band he hopes to put together. Somehow he's convinced the shorter girl next to him to help with this mission, given it was on his bucket list and all. Hopefully they make it through the task without many arguments.

She did see. Couldn't help but see because Maddie couldn't produce a patronus and seeing someone else attempt it always grabbed her attention. It stung a bit that he could and she couldn't but the look on his face made her feel something other than annoyance. She was happy for him, that was what this feeling was. Happy for him but still upset so she didn't comment. Maddie simply nodded her head in acknowledgement and then stood up and faced the practice dummy, wand held out in front of her.
"Diminuendo." Eyes trained on the target, Maddie watched as the practice dummy shrunk before her eyes.

Noel watched as the Stag slowly disappeared and Maddie didn't do much of anything. It shouldn't really bother him and he was telling himself that it didn't because that was them now, right?
But then it didn't explain, why he went forward and pointed his wand toward the dummy she was working with and said the counter spell, letting the dummy return to it's normal size. They couldn't talk but do this, he supposed.

Maddie watched as the practice dummy returned to normal size and then brown eyes settled on the Hufflepuff. "Thanks, I guess." Only she hadn't asked for his help and now that he'd come over, she wasn't exactly sure what she was meant to say. He was the one that had gotten upset in the first place so it wasn't her job to say anything, she supposed. And so she didn't.
Eyeing the practice dummy again, the fourth year took a deep breath and then uttered a, "Flipendo." The dummy was knocked backward and the brunette smiled slightly, amused. It quickly disappeared, though, when she remembered she had company.
