| | | Anesthetic Delirium It starts with the flickering of light from a dying torch. An unseen wind whistles through the damp, dark corridor, threatening to get rid of the only source of light there is. There is a window, but there is stone behind it. Only at mid-day can even a sliver of light be seen and it only terrorizes the senses.
A door's nowhere to be found. Search along the stones and bricks to look for a hidden passage and you'll find none. Magic works inside to an extent, but not a single wand is handy.
A collection of lifeless shapes are assembled in the corridor. Puppets? Toys? No. Bodies, ranging from human to creatures of the dark. Are they dead? No, simply knocked unconscious by a simple intake of a dainty flower, and when they wake, they'll remember nothing, not even their names or the face of their enemy. The only thing to differentiate them from one another, aside from their appearances, are numbers engraved on their left hands. Their meaning? Not a chance they'll figure it out.
When they wake up, it'll be up to them to figure out how to get out of the room and survive. After all, there are more things to account for than are let on. Shadows have a mind of their own in this chamber, and nonsense is sometimes the only thing that makes sense.
- - - - - - - - - Hooray for weird RP beginnings that don't make any sense! The plot's still unfolding in my mind, but that's how it works! ;] Instead of having a plot where the players figure things out, this will be going a little differently. The Twist: We will all be playing our own characters, but to lead things along, I'll be throwing in little quirks. Like a narrator, if you will. It won't be anything too dramatic, just to get things going where they should be. So if your character is grabbed by a vine from the wall, go with it. ;] Firstly: Pick a character, any character. Muggle. Witch. Centaur. Anything. Just be sure it has speaking abilities. Work out a description or cheat and find a pretty picture. Yes, you can post names, that might be key later, but as for history and background, there's no need! Oh the perks of memory loss. Secondly: Do me a grand favor and write out an RP sample. Yes, even you Ashlie, despite having RPed with you for four years. It doesn't matter the type or with what character. It can be from a different RP you're in the process of playing. Any sample will make me happy. Thirdly: Read the rules please! I'm picky because it's who I am. Also, the rules make the RP run smoothly and can offer bumps and curves that every RP needs.
- - - - - - - - - RULES No Sues and Stus. Duh.
No God-Modding! Play your own character.
If you cannot post for more than a week straight and have not PMed anyone to inform them, your character will be killed off. We don't like dead weight, sorry!
No one-liners. There will ALWAYS be something more to say. Four lines minimum. Even if you want to leave the RP and want to kill off your charrie, make it worthwhile!
- - - - - - - - - If you have any questions, silly or blunt, please PM me! I know this already sounds confusing and I'd like to clear up as much as possible to make this RP, well ... possible. |

She covered her mouth in fear. She really had no idea what was going on but the hushed whisper of a conversation and the whimpers and apologies were easy enough to figure out. "Really now." She said, not knowing why she was getting herself involved. Obviously the smarter thing to do was to keep her mouth shut and try to find a way out. "Shouldn't we all be working together to get out of her?" She murmured, trying to see if there were other people still unconcious in the darkness.

Crystal saw and heard the girl who looked as bewildered as she was. She started to make her way through the pile of unconscious bodies, carefully. She knew they couldn't feel her stepping on them, but she'd feel guilty if she did. A cold breeze swept across her arm, making her shudder, and causing small goosebumps to emerge on her bare skin.
But where was this coming from ? There were no windows to be seen, no cracks in the wall, no source of wind.
The girl hadn't noticed Crystal walking towards her. She just kept looking around, clearly not understanding a thing that was happening.
Not to startle the girl (who, by the way, looked fairly normal), she tapped her shoulder lightly. Noticing the newcomer for the first time, she turned around and looked at Crystal expectantly. There was almost no space where they were standing, just a little patch of not unconscious-body-filled cold, wet stone.
'You know, I don't think there is a way out.' Crystal said to her and looked around, as if scanning the walls for a hidden doorway with her eyes.
'Hey, there. You look nicer than those guys.' She said when the girl didn't respond and pointed over her shoulder, to the couple she just 'talked' to, who were still bickering.
'I'm...'
She's what ? She couldn't remember her own name...
'I can't even remember my name !?' She thought and panicked quietly inside her apparently empty mind. She racked her brain for any sliver of information of a letter in her name, her mom's name, her father's name, her age, her home... anything, but there was nothing like that in there.
Just Emptiness.
'I'm sorry, this may sound like a weird question, but do you, by any chance remember your name ?'
She asked like a crazy person, to determine if she was the only one with the sudden amnesia.

A slight smirk placed on his lips, he snorted disgustedly. He could see the fairy, cowering in the corner, shaking. "Like I said. I'm ethically against eating anything with speaking abilities." he replied to her, a slightly condescending tone in his voice, almost undetectable in the context.
"Secondly. I'd rather not be treated like a machine." he continued, his eyes narrowed, looking actually frightful even with the kind butter-gold eyes. "And as for the nose thing... Do you see one? If so, yes. If not, screw it. Agreed?" He asked, tones of malice lacing his voice, his eyes still narrowed as he scanned her - no tones of sarcasm in her. Just fear. Good. Clio shivered like a dried, wilted leaf, cowering in the corner that was nowhere near as nice as the hugs and love she expected. Evan wouldn't be able to provide that anyway. Vampiric as he was. The silver light contoured his lanky frame; his bared teeth did a shadow puppet play across her palid face. The saucer-liked black orbs were at one with his crimson. There was no looking away; fear entraced you, paralyzed you, like good fear should. The faerie slowly cast her chin down, down, shoulders hunching into a turtle-like ignorance of the world. She snuggled back toward the wall, stiffening, expecting his predatory clutch to suck the life out of her at any moment. Her eyelids pressed shut. So much for this. I die just after my birth.
It didn't come. Clio relaxed and convulsed again. Nothing but still air and Evan's intense breathing. Shiftily, she cracked an eyelid. He spoke. Clio perked and diligently listened, cocking her head toward him in loyalty. "No lie?" Relief came thickly in her words; Clio hadn't the finesse to hide such vociferous emotions--like fear. "Thanks." Her bony shoulders unhunched and she sat spread-eagle on the ground. Clio was child-like. All that was missing from the picturesque-gone-wrong scene was the toy. Between the black and the crimson; it was a macabre horror movie.
"Fine." He laid the ordinances here. Clio didn't heed him as much as he'd have liked. She was too busy watching his eyes gradient back to that enchanting champagne yellow. Preeeeettyyyyyy, her mind moaned. A giggling conscience urged her to rise and poke them. If he was so rock solid everywhere; then wouldn't his eyes be diamonds? Heeeaaavenly canary diamonds, the mischief purred. They glittered ominously. Precious jewels in adventure movies that set off booby traps if you touched them. "Yes. I see a nose," she sighed meekly and testily, toying with her hemline. Out of his mouth, it sounded criminally stupid. "Agreed." Clio was up on her feet and rounded on him with an extended wrist. "Shake it. I'd like to treat such agreements with something of honor and sacredness." She nodded singly down at the baby-like fingers, one that was swollen from that unfortunate poke, all encrusted with a set of dainty almond-shaped nails.
He'd crush it like a Coca-Cola can.

Stiffening slightly as the contact made by this total stranger, the girl turned to face her, trying to make out her features in the dark. Finally able to put an image of her face to the voice that was talking to her, she finally paid attention to what she was saying, catching the last few sentences. "Name?" She said confused. "My name..." Trailing off, she racked her seemingly empty brain for someone that people used to call her. Actually, she wasn't all too sure that was what the girl was looking for. "I-I can't remember." She stuttered, looking at her with wide blue eyes. "I have no idea." Clutching her head, she sat back down onto the hard ground.

It couldn't have been...
Was that a question that had come out of the person's mouth beside her? Yes it was. "I don't know." She said quietly. "How did we get here?" She said quite calmly, hoping that she wouldn't have a panic attack. The blonde could not be left in the dark. Never. And here she was. Trying to observe her surroundings a bit better, her eyes had finally adjusted to the darkness and she could see that there were many other dark figures in the room. "Oh god." She uttered as her head turned this way and that. Where was the light!? A set of eyes flashed towards the girl as she finally spoke. As he had thought, she held no answers. How did they all end up in this room? Who were they all? How...His thoughts trailed off as another recognition flared. Who was he? Hand slowly releasing the girl, he brought his hands closer together before clapsing them into a ball.
Voices were speaking around him, though he tuned them out, intent on this new revelation. Quote:

He'd crush it like a Coca-Cola can. Evan watched the girl intensely, trying to figure her out - First, she cowered. Then, she began to act like a turtle and cower. Then, she looked up with this hopeful expression, following to a spread-eagled position and now, getting up and asking to shake his hand. Other than the one swelled from the thing jabbing his abdomen, they were all long, skinny and had perfect nails. His were basically the same - long skinny fingers, extremely pale and stone cold. He extended his hand back towards her and shook it lightly, carefully before taking his hand back.
He looked around - a male, staring at him curiously. Interest sparked, he sniffed the air carefully, twice. Another vampire... How odd. His eyes flashed golden ochre, registering the fact he was vegetarian.

The swollen finger pulsed a moan of relief when the ice cream flesh made contact with the angry puffiness. A small, pleasured smile creased Clio's mouth upward. "Fine, fine," she crowed. "Agreed. I'll hold the more stupid comments back if you don't eat me...or the people." Several were now patting, smacking, screaming, all but standing on their heads to recollect. Nodding in satisfaction and holding his--rather intense--stare for a questioning moment longer, Clio's hand inexplicitly dropped to its side, a odd feeling taking control of her. After being around something with such hulk strength; all her appendages felt like noodles. "So what'd you propose now?" she demanded formally, allowing him to take control of the wheel. No plan to leave the darkness would slip through her fingers. Hope had the structural integrity of a wet seal.
She observed him in a militant stance, feet spread slightly apart, hands clasped into a ball behind her back. He'd found another of his race, it appeared, hopefully just as an amenable creature. Subconsciously, she formed a small worry, blasphemeously sheltered it, despite her impulsive nature that spun around no regrets. What if her behavior affected that vampire? What if he found her unworthy with all her causes and actions. It wouldn't do! What if he looked to her for food first? Her offering was a small, pleading smile. Don't kill me! I've got things to do! Work! Plan! Pester! Tuning in to his smooth drawl, Clio's face fell, even though she deduced the situation quite well already. "Well, that settles it, we're all blank slates," she moaned, eagerly watching the bleeding watercolor of white light against its black background. Grow! Grow already!
It formed there. Apparently, she was afraid of the dark.

Taking note that the other vampire apparently caught to his curious gaze, Garrett simply watched his actions, remaining as still as a stone; which was rather fitting for the very texture of his skin was like that of cold, marble stone.
As the male vampire turned his gaze towards Garrett, he nodded slightly, as if in recognition, though he did not let the surprise at seeing the golden eyes register on his face. A vegetarian...That would do. No worries about saving the others in the room from a rapid vampire who couldn't control the urge to feed. Though...he supposed he should watch himself as well.
His gaze flickered towards the girl whom the other vampire had been speaking to. He studied her carefully, gaze alighting on the sudden small smile she presented in his direction. He didn't know exactly what to make of it and simply nodded once in her direction. Whatever her concerns, he wouldn't have a part in it; at least not at present time.
"Blank slates..." He whispered. Blank...a very vulnerable word. "Does anyone remember anything at all? Anything before this? Even if it was hours or days or years before this?" He spoke again, not addressing anyone in particular. And while he posed these questions, he tried his best to answer them. He failed; miserably. It was as though his life had begun in this room, waking up to strangers. But that was not possible.

Hogwarts RPG Name: Isabelle Dubois Fourth Year | The dark was doing her head in, and fear was taking a hold of Tári. She had tried so hard to remember even the tiniest bit of her life, or who she was, but had failed miserably. It's not like she wasn't the only one though, because apparently none of them knew who they were, or where they had come from. It was as though amnesia had run through them all, sucking out every last memory.
Then Tári heard the little fairy speak. Blank slates? She asked herself. A darkness sheltered her making her cringe. It was as though they had been born again, as though if anything that had gone wrong previously in their life, they could erase, a new beginning. "But if only I could remember that life," she muttered, surprising herself with the sound of her own voice; she had meant to think it, not say it. "I don't," Tári replied to a voice, a shiver running up her spine. She turned to the boy, wondering, were they fangs in his mouth? Was he a vampire? She racked her brains, trying to think if she had ever met one before, but came up with nothing. Nothing at all. "I don't remember being born, I don't remember my very existence," she said in her light, pretty voice, if a voice could be considered "pretty". Why had they been the ones to go through this? Had they all done something to spite a certain person? But why would they do this to them? I'm being silly, she thought. trying to reassure herself. But this it was too odd, no words could explain how much confusion was running through her mind, how many questions she was asking herself, but ending up with no answers. |

Crystal said with a sigh and sat down beside the girl. 'Can't seem to remember mine either.' She added, in explanation. 'Feels like a C-- A or something, but I can't be sure...' With sudden inspiration, she kept searching every corner of her mind for a name with a C or an A. But there were endless possibilities...
Carol?
Corinna?
Caroline?
Carmen?
Candy, maybe ?
But none rung a bell.
' C.. Cr?'
'Ugh, this is hopeless...' She said with an 'I give up' tone to her voice... 'Wait.. I can feel it coming... it's definitely something with a C!'
' Aaand ?' She heard herself thinking, she might have been expecting more. ' Hey ! At least that's progress !' The other half of her mind fought back.
'Wait... Chris...' She thought and got a tingly feeling in her tummy. 'That rings a bell... but it's a boys' name...'
'Well, I guess we're gonna have to go with Chris. And yes, I know it's a boys' name, and yes, I know I'm not a boy. It just seems familiar.' Crystal said, giving up on finding a better name.
'So... Hi, I'm.. Chris.' She said, reaching out her hand and smiling like a lunatic, but still trying to convince the nameless girl that she wasn't one.
