In a new interview, Tom Felton explained how in-the-dark he and his costars are about the Deathly Hallows split point, how glad he was that the final book was broken into two films, and the way he used Draco Malfoy as a means of catharsis. Quote:
"We don't know where the cut's going to be. Everyone keeps asking us 'where is the cut?' but they've shot it kind of all as one and I think they're going to wait and see whatever feels right," he explained.
He added: "I'm very excited to see what comes out of it!"
On the decision to make two Deathly Hallows installments: Quote:
"It was nothing but a sigh of relief for us as there was so much in the book we thought 'oh my God, they're going to cut characters out, they'll leave bits out'.
"It's the most important chapter of the whole story really so it was important to go into it in as much detail as possible so we were all thrilled about it," he said.
Tom saw playing Draco Malfoy as a means of therapy: Quote:
"I kind of use him as therapy in a way. I get to build up these angers and frustrations and then vent it through this evil little Hitler child. Without it I may have to go to therapy - maybe it's time to vent that way!" he laughed.
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows will be out November 19, 2010 and July 15, 2011.  | |

That sounds great and fantastic! Can't wait to see the 1st part and how they made the cut. It also feels very relieving to know that they really stick into the details of the book. I can now imagine myself watching the movie as though I'm expecting and already predicting what will absolutely happen next in every scene, 'cause everything was just there! 
Tom was a very nice guy, and it's fun and gracious to think that he really benefits a lot from playing Draco for about a decade. I know that he'll be more famous in the coming years, such a talented actor. That's why I'm giving him a big thumbs up for a great well done job.

Tom is such an amazing actor. He's really talented, and you wouldn't have thought that he'd use Draco as therapy. That's a really good interview though.

If the split actually happened at Malfoy Manor, it'd be a weird place to leave off, right in the middle of the climax. The shell cottage scene immediately after is a very sad and reflective moment for the trio. I suppose the split could come before the Malfoy Manor scene as well, right as they get captured. It'd add to the suspense for the next movie, but still not really a great place to end it in terms of plot.
