| | |  Third day of Pottermore's Magical Quill Challenge on Prisoner of Azkaban now closed
Pottermore.com’s Magical Quill Scavenger Hunt has launched the third round of registrations, giving fans worldwide the opportunity to have early access by answering a question from the third book, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban.

For those who have found the question and managed to register, you may discuss the question/answer in this thread but please put your comments in a spoiler tag to avoid spoiling other fans. [*spoiler=Pottermore Magical Quill Day Three]Answer text[*/spoiler] – but remove the asterisks (*)
Do NOT post the link of the page the Magical Quill challenge directs to! Also: make sure your adblock is disabled, or you won't be able to see the quill.
Once registered, you may also insert your Pottermore name into your SnitchSeeker profile, if you would like to, by following this link and completing the field titled "Pottermore Username".  
SnitchSeeker will continuously update with news on Pottermore every day of this week, including when the new clues are released. Wednesday’s question will revolve around the fourth book, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, so it may be worth refreshing your knowledge of Durmstrang and Beauxbatons (for who knows what the question will be). Note: If you've answered the clue and been able to register and validate your account, you are done with this stage of the Pottermore experience. You do not need to register again; the next part is to await the Welcome Email for the Pottermore beta site, which will be sent anytime between August 7 to September 30, 2011. UPDATE: The Third Day of registrations are now closed. Be sure to check tomorrow for another chance to sign up to Pottermore.com! UPDATE 2: The Pottermore Insider blog has been updated, answering some more commonly asked questions and also giving a hint on when tomorrow's Clue will be revealed. I have seen people offering to register early access accounts for others. Is it safe to give my personal details to someone who is offering this service?
Absolutely not. You should never share personal details online unless you are certain how they will be used and protected. Also, please note that the transfer of Pottermore accounts is expressly prohibited in The Magical Quill promotion Terms & Conditions.
Is there any update on the Yahoo! Mail issue?
This has now been resolved and everyone who registered with a Yahoo! Mail account on Sunday or Monday should now have received their validation email.

I got in on the first day but have been finding the magical quill everyday just for the fun of it (don't worry, I only registered once).
Yesterday my brother did it using my Dad's email address (I used my Mum's) but he still hasn't recieved his registration email.
I can't wait until August 7th when they start sending out Welcome Emails!
Also, I'm disgusted that some people are selling early access accounts on ebay. It's not fair that real HP fans somewhere are being denied early acces because of this.

^^I KNOW!mim mad they keep selling them too! i read that they are going for up to $500! its outrageous! its totally unfair to people that have worked for it and know everything. and a person made a good point about them: if you do buy this account theres no gaurantee(?) you are going to get all the emails and if it is a legit account. you might as well just find the quill yourself and not take any chances! | |

Hey everybody,
I live in the USA and I am 7 hours behind England, so it makes it near impossible for me to get up. Normally, I'd just stay up all night, but I work for the prosecutor and I can't be tired or I'll fall asleep in court. Despite that, I woke up at 5 today to try to register. Looks like I was about three minutes late. Could any of you help me out and make one for me when the next clue comes out? I am worried that I won't be able to make one during the early entry period | |

I live in Cali and I woke up at around 2:30 a.m for the 2nd challenge and it had just come on, and I had to wake up at 5:45 a.m. for work. I don't know what time the 3rd challenge was released, but you could try going to bed early and then waking up around that time, or try on Saturday, which will be the last day of the challenge, if you're not working then. I wish that I could help you register but it asks for an email address and from what I was reading on here and elsewhere, they are now checking the IP addressess of those who register. So if someone was to register for you, they and you could be expelled for "cheating".

I am thinking of waking up tomorrow, but from what ive read there is no guarentee of what time it will pop up.

About the Hogwarts letter - it's cool that it's personalized and looks so real...but I bet you could make your own. It's a bit pricey (for me) for me to justify buying it when I could buy a piece of parchment and design a similar one. However, I would totally consider buying it for a friend or younger cousin, especially nearing their 11th birthdays. Quote:
