The premise for the Simpsons episode to air after Sunday's Superbowl is somewhat outlandish, to be sure.

Homer Simpson is put in charge of the half-time show. When Homer needs help, however, he turns to Ned Flanders, neighbour, religious zealot, and all-around "nice" guy.

Frazier Moore of the Associated Press, in Thursday's Ottawa Citizen, describes Marge Simpson's concern and Ned Flanders' retort:

Homer's wife, Marge, is troubled by Ned's Passion of the Christ-inspired antics. "There's more to the Bible than blood and gore," she says.

But Ned (voiced by Harry Shearer) sneers in response, "I guess you'd rather see a film about a liberal European wizard school."

umm... i saw one episode where Harry was in the classroom... that might have been where he was chewing gum but it was pretty short...

pity... i don't have Fox8... oh well

That's 'Whizz Kidz' the ToH segment we are discussing. The entire thing was a Harry Potter spoof because Fox had to get WB to agree to allow them make it. Lol, I wonder if JK gave them the nod because she is a self confessed Simpsons addict.

You know, I still haven't seen that one, not fully anyways. Whenever it's on, all I manage to catch is snippets. Did Jo actually voice the part? It'd be so cool if she actually did that one day.

Yep she did. I read an interview with Al Jean who is one of the producers for the show and he was talking about the voice actors and mentioned that JKR did her part in a London recording studio even though the director was in America.

I'm sorry, but it ain't (i'm not a frickin' hillbilly) really that funny. It's actually kinda queer if you ask me, but I doubt anyone is asking me. But I guess if I actually saw it on TV, it might be a little funnier. But yeah, its not that great.
