| | |  Scholastic prepare for readathon & announce special guests
 Last week we told you that Scholastic were planning to hold an epic readathon to celebrate the release of the tenth anniversary edition of Sorcerer's Stone. The event in New York City will take place on September 23rd and will involve fans from all over reading the first Harry Potter story aloud whilst sat on the chair which J.K. Rowling used at Carnegie Hall. It will also be live online as a webcast.
Beginning at 8am, those taking part will receive a 'commemorative anniversary souvenir' and the first hundred get free copies of the book. It will take place at Scholastic Headquarters at 557 Broadway in Soho, New York - all those who are under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. 
A video showing their preparations is now online and can be seen below.
And an announcement about special guests has emerged. Quote:
Stop by and you might see KayCee Stroh from High School Musical 3, the academy award winner Marcia Gay Harden, Kurt Loder from MTV as well as Jill Zarin from Real Housewives of New York on Bravo. How cool is that!!

HSM was hugely successful. Marcia Gay Harden, well, she is a real actress. Kurt Loder, well known long time MTV personality. But a reality show, uh, person? Please....
