| | |  Rupert Grint to star in Cherrybomb (UPDATED)
Rupert Grint has signed up to star in a new film entitled Cherrybomb. The story, set in Belfast, Ireland, is 'a gritty thriller about two teenagers who get into trouble when they both fall for a beautiful new girl in town.'
The film is currently in production and will finish shooting in early August. The movie is scheduled to be released sometime in 2009. UPDATE: We now know that Rupert's co-stars will be Kimberley Nixon ( Cranford, Wild Child, Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging) and Robert Sheehan ( The Tudors, Rock Rivals).
According to Variety and Northern Ireland Screen; Quote:
"The film follows teenagers Luke, Malachy and Michelle as they embark on a wild weekend of drink, drugs, shop-lifting and stealing cars. But what starts out as a game turns deadly serious when the three discover that they can’t get off the wild ride they’ve set in motion."

I think Rupert is one of the most talented of the trio, never saw Emma in other roles and Daniel.. well, in my opinion, I think he needs a bit more work. Rupert, on the other hand, does very well the comic parts (Harry Potter and Thunderpants) and surprised me with his talent to the drama (Driving Lessons). I sure would like to see him more outside the HP world.
