The BBC are reporting that Rupert Grint's publicist has confirmed that the actor is recovering from a mild bout of swine flu. Rupert reportedly took a few days off filming Deathly Hallows but is well enough to attend the Half-Blood Prince premiere on Tuesday. Quote:
"He has now recovered and is looking forward to joining his fellow cast members," his publicist said.
Quote:
"Other scenes were shot in his absence which did not require his involvement and thus filming was not disrupted," she added.
UPDATE: At a press conference held today in London, Rupert commented on his illness; Quote:
"It was quite scary when I first found out I had swine flu," he said at a press conference with other Potter actors including Emma Watson in London.
"I thought 'Am I going to die?' But it was just like any other flu really."
"I had a sore throat and I went to bed for a few days."

If someone dies from the regular flu, which thousands and thousands do every year, it's not news. Also, to everyone who gets sick for a few days and says they think they had swine flu, you probably didn't. Most likely you had a cold or the regular flu. Only medical testing will tell you whether you have it or not. I've noticed that after the media hype everyone who gets the sniffles goes around saying they had swine flu so they feel important.
So whether Rupert had swine flu or regular flu or a cold or whatever, I'd still wish him and anybody else a healthy recovery because it's not fun to get sick no matter what you have.
