That's awesome. I know some authors (like Anne Rice) don't like people writing fan fic of their stories, although I really don't see why not. I love writing fan fic, so I'm glad that I have JK's "seal of approval."

If you read the article it is hinted that she only approves of suitable fanfics - someone in there commented that the audience is still primarily composed of teens and young people.

Yay fanfics r fun! :sorcerer: Im also maken a story except its not really fic. its about tomboys/girls who meet aleins and stop em from taken over da town its called "A Walk Down Alein Lane" but im thinking of a story i already got a couple of good ones (ideas/stuff) im working on it its called "The Power is Rising" and its sorta like Lord of da rings  . Yeah me too, I'm pleased we can do it, I love writing my fanfic it's a great form of escapism and it's easier than starting your own story from scratch because the characters are already established.
For me its great practise in writing creative literature, and I thank JK Rowling for allowing me to do that! :flowersmile:
