Quote of the Week - Stephen King Renowned American author Stephen King discussed his opinions on contemporary writers recently, praising Harry Potter creator J.K. Rowling for her literary work. When asked if his success helped pave the way for other highly successful authors like Jo and Stephenie Meyer (of the Twilight series), Stephen stated he knew that Jo read his stories when she was younger and he believed it influenced her as a writer. I was honestly surprised that she had a degree in english (or whatever it was that she has...) uh, wow....that hurt. seriously, in Stephen King's Dark Tower series, he makes reference to JK herself, Harry Potter, sneetches, Slytherin and house elves!!!! i almost choked when i came across it while reading this 7 book series.....! |
