All the rumours on Hobbit Movie News and Information - TheOneRing.net - Forged by the Fans of J.R.R. Tolkien lead you to believe that Dan Radcliffe and James McAvoy and David Tennant are all neck and neck in starring in the Hobbit. Mr. Tennant has stated that he is a "no." And now, for the record, Dan has stated the same. So who, i wonder, will portray Bilbo? |
What I understood was that he's tired of making fantasy, which admittedly, is rather understandable considering that he's beeng doing it for an entire decade. ^_^ But YAY for James McAvoy. I like him. =) |

I think Dan doesnt want the role of Bilbo Baggins, if it were offered to him, because he doesnt want to be typecast AND he wants to expand his acting repertoire in a variety of directions (i.e., Equus anyone?). Also, James McAvoy, from what I can tell, has not been offered the role as of right this very moment. His name was simply one of three being tossed around as good for the part.... |

I have to say I’m glad it’s not Dan I don’t see him in that role. James would be good though I think, but I’m not sure if that's who they will go for. |
James would be good! He was great in The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe and in Penelope (those are the only movies i've seen with him in it). He would be great as Bilbo in The Hobbit! I agree with Dan! |
the only reason he's been connected to this project at all is cause of his height and because he looks quite like elijah wood. Go Dan! |
