| | | Potter in 'Pearls' comic
Rat, the most evil character in the popular 'Pearls Before Swine' comic strip, dismisses an employee in a book store teling him to 'go back to setting up [his] useless 'Harry Potter' displays', taking a stab at bookstores that set up their Potter advertising five months in advance.
The comic can be seen here.

I guess the people on here doesnt get the humor in it. Or they're taking the "Useless harry potter displays" a bit too personally. I only read it when I can find the section in the breakroom at work, so I missed it today Oh well, I'll live. Thanks for sharing it though, always good for a chuckle hehehe

I read that today! It was Rat and he was telling this book guy to set up his "useless" HP book stands or something like that

I found it quite funny. It is stupid how publicity is set up months in advance for something which doesn't even need publicity. Harry Potter could sell itself.

I guess I found it funny because I think Rat's so mean. All the previous Pearls cartoons (especially the ones with the cockroach who tied and duck taped people who said stupid things or something) I thought were hilarious! Rat's evil... |

And I work in a bookstore, so I found it doubly funny... I've fought and wrestled with these abo****ely useless cardboard displays that have slots and tabs and that won't stand up.
And yes. HP doesn't need to be treated like a cash cow! (By the way, 30,000+ posts?! OMG!)
