Oldman and Thewlis roles in OotP confirmed
 

Warner Brothers has just confirmed that Gary Oldman [Sirius Black] and David Thewlis [Remus Lupin] are both in negotiations to return in their roles for 'Order of the Phoenix'.

YAY! SO happy! Those two are so perfect for the parts! :woot: :woot: :woot: :woot: :woot: :woot: :woot: :woot:

I think one of the coolest things about the movies is how they have been able to keep actors in the same roles for so long. It's amazing and it helps to make the movies better I think.

I love those guys. They were great. I'll admit I wasn't sure at first about Oldman's casting but he did such a wonderful job that he may have become a minor pinup in my room. As for Lupin, never had any doubts, never regretted that.

Yeeeeeessss ! I love this..it's really great news to my! I was mad about Gary not being in the GoF movie like his character was in the book..but this'll make up for it. I forgive them and they won't have to feel my wrath. I'm also happy becasue of Thewlis' return...who else could be Lupin? he does it so well....
So far,casting for OoTP is going good.

The movie just wouldnt be right without Gary Oldman as Sirius Black.He plays a pivotal role in OotP.

Hopefully Warner Brothers and Gary will soon be talking and the contract will be taken care of quickly. I don't think it is Gary not wanting to come back I think someone at WB goofed or sad to say it could be a money issue. Oldman's salary request could be more than WB wants to pay.

Just a gentle point your sexier Sirius has a huge strike against him. He isn't from the British Isles. One constant thing in every HP movies is all the actors and actress are from Ireland, Scotland, Wales or England. Depp is American, having been born in the Commonwealth of Kentucky. Another issue is Sirius has just spend roughly 12 years in Azkaban, which I don't think would have done his looks much help.
