No Gaunts? I'm losing interest in this movie. |
I always thought that the HAD to keep the Gaunts and Hepzibah in. I wonder how they'll do the Horcruxes now ... |
Oh ok....nothing we can do bout it...... |
How can they not put in the Gaunts? Doesn't that throw off the whole plot? Gah!!! How disappointing. :( |
No Gaunts? Nope. Not gonna work. With David Yates, he always cuts out the interesting, informative and somewhat essential subplots. |
No Gaunts or Smith, Thats a disgrace it really is and i cant understand why JK have agreed to this as they both have a very importent roles in the movie. Like why bring Cho back when she is not even a big role in the book. They seem to do stuff back word's ie. bring back small character and leave out big ones. There going to slaughter the book cutting it down. Just imagine the 7th flim the whloe book will be cut out. |
No Gaunts?! It was a very importent part in the book! I can't believe they're cutting it. |

Seriously, no Gaunts? But praise the heavens, Cho Chang is in! I don't know how I would've survived without seeing her in HBP. This probably is the HP movie I'm least looking forward to. |
what??!!! YOUR KIDDING ME!!! I had already imagined in my head what they would look like...god...i was looking forward to them so bad.. |
WHOA! I mean, I could understand the Prime Minister because he's not so important to the plot. But no Gaunts or Hepzibah Smith? How are they going to explain Voldemort's family history then? Where is he going to get the Gaunt's ring from? And what about Hepzibah? Where's he going to get the cup and locket? They're really messing this up already! I'm so frustrated with this. >_< The Gaunts and Smith especially showed how evil Voldemort was in his adolescence as well...taking them away will ruin the plot. I'm upset. |
This is not fair...The GAUNTS are out. How??? they are so important as through them we can see Voldemort's family?? I don't agree..May be for Prime Minister and Smith, I can go with it but for Gaunts:( |
How they gonna start the film then if the prime minister isnt in it and the gaunts a vital bit to the plot so thats just stupid x |
^ I think Spinner\'s End is a better starting point anyway. The two ministers would be a boring way to open a film. |
Aww, no Gaunts? But they were pretty important, weren\'t they? |
What about the twins? are they gonna be in it? |
Nooooooo! That\'s horrible  |
I understand the Prime Minister and Hepzibah being absent. If anything, Hepzibah can be simply mentioned, and the Prime Minister bit, as interesting as that chapter was, is not that important. THE GAUNTS are missing? That upsets me. Is the orphanage the only scene we\'re going to see of Voldemort\'s past. I wouldn\'t put it past them to cut Slughorn\'s memory and Voldemort returning to Hogwarts. I\'m upset. I don\'t know how they justify it, to be honest. Shannon :hello: |
Ok somebody at WB needs to be slapped! OBVIOUSLY somebody in their little writers department never read the book! I mean come on how can you tell the story of Voldemort\'s life, his early childhood and how he became a Parselmouth without the Gaunts! You can\'t tell the story without Voldemort\'s mummy! You just cant! And how the h-e-double hockeysticks are they going to do the whole Horcrux thing without them and Ms. Smith anyway???? I swear WB needs to be slapped! I\'ll be glad when in the future someone decides to do a remake and tells the story right! |

I just cannot believe they\'re taking out these characters. If this keeps on, then soon enough they\'ll cut out Voldemort\'s story from the plot! *snorts* Or even find a way to not include the Horcruxes >_< |
I can\'t see how it can work without the Gaunts. Hepzibah is relatively important, but I can see how they can get around that, they shouldn\'t have cut the Gaunts though. |
Thats a shame. I so thought that they would need the Gaunts to be in it. |
how can the gaunts and hephzibah smith not be in this movie? they are important coz of the things. omg!!! |
I\'d say we start a petition, but those of us who signed the "Cast Jason Carter as Sirius Black" petition know how well THAT went. This quote I found online sums it all up for me personally: They better do a tremendous job of fixing their little tinkering here or I\'m going to be royally ticked with Rowling too for letting them turn this film into a "rom com" when it seriously is NOT. After DH, it\'s the darkest in the series and has some of the most important and substantial themes, and making it all fall into place just for the Trio\'s skipping along merrily love moments is not the way to go. And sorry to that one guy who was reporting this already. It seemed like such a far-fetched thing. But now hats off to him for reporting it early and being just as peeved as we are now that it\'s official. Uggghhh!!! What are they thinking?!! It better be really long and make up for it with other roles. If Snape has only six scenes and a total of twelves minutes and it\'s all boiled down, I might shoot someone at WB. Couldn\'t have put it better myself. And I agree with everyone who has made comments about CHO being back, but not these fairly essential characters, and I agree with whizzybubbles for what she said about David Yates, AND I especially agree with Dan when he said he\'ll miss being broody. It seems the audience will have to miss it too. |
