| | |  Muggles playing Quidditch? Yes, it's true!
The Sioux Falls Quidditch League - it sounds like a team you might hear out of the novels, right? Well think again - this is a purely Muggle sport, as created by teenager Eric Larsen.
Though the game is played by running around on regular fields, Daniel Parrott lets everyone know that they still keep things cannon.
Quote:
"If you don't have a broom between your legs, then you cannot fly and obviously cannot participate in the flying game of quidditch."
In each game, there are two teams of eight people. Why the extra person, you may ask ... It's because the Seeker is supposed to be chasing a flying golden ball. Since, obviously, they do not have balls that fly, they've made their own alternative.

"We don't have flying gold balls, so we get a track runner and we get a ball and hang it from him with a tube sock on their back and the seekers try to catch him. "
Also, just like the game, there's a Quaffle - while this one is yellow, it still does the same thing. If you make it into the hula hoop that's duct taped to the folding chair, you recieve 10 points. The beaters ("defenders") try to stop that by sending white balls - the bludgers - their way.
And while it may sound fun and silly, Larsen says the sport is a bit dangerous.
