A new Daily Mail article has surfaced with new interviews from several cast members concerning the new three girls via for Harry's attention and the teenage wizard's first kiss. Order of the Phoenix director David Yates related the lengths at which the director went to easy the awkwardness of the moment for the two teenagers. But it isn't his friend Hermione Granger, who has been the starring female character since the films began, who shares Harry's first kiss. Instead, it is Cho Chang, portrayed by the beautiful Scottish Katie Leung. Quote:
Cho isn't the only new girl on the block giving Hermione competition in the glamour stakes. This time, the Hogwarts halls are filled not just with malicious Malfoys and their hangerson but with a group of girls who are clearly going to become the new Potter totty.
Wright had this to say about her role in the fifth film: Quote:
"At first, Ginny was the little sister of the Weasley family, but in the later books, she comes through more on her own. It's been more fun doing this film as Ginny's character's developed," explains Bonnie. "Ginny's a bit more confident - I have definitely enjoyed that."
"Of course we were jealous of Cho - it's hard not to be because she gets the first kiss and is a strong character. But I have to act the role of Ginny as if I don't know what's going to happen between her and Harry in the future, about the kiss Ginny gets to have with Harry. "
"When I read about the kiss I have with Dan later in the series, I wasn't expecting it. But I suppose I'll get a feel of what's to come when I see Katie and Dan's kiss in this film. It was a closed set so we couldn't watch."

It's kinds funny the way they try to put Hermione in as if she was a possible love interest. Haven't they realized that Hermione and Harry have never been an item? Besides, Hermione had her romantic first long before Cho and Harry kissed, and we all know she kissed Krum even if it wasn't on screen! Hermione doesn't have to move over for anyone!!!! Should she get the opportunity to kiss Ron later on screen, that would just be icing on the cake! Lol!

Even if Hermione isn't the only girl that the series focus on she is the strongest female character. Ginny and Cho are strong characters, but as the series goes on Cho becomes a shadow of what she was while Ginny is more and more strong

I don't think Ginny's kiss will be so awkward, since it's much more spontaneous, and with both of them happy, instead of one crying and the other not knowing what to do.
