| | | Lord Voldemort To Play Hamlet - Lord Voldemort To Play Hamlet Summary:
Lord Voldemort actor Ralph Fiennes to play Hamlet. Article:
Article from Wizard News.
British actor Ralph Fiennes is set to play Hamlet on the London stage for the second time in a decade.
The English Patient star, 41, plans to perform William Shakespeare's tragedy at an off-West End venue next autumn after he has completed acting duties on a number of films, including Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.
Fiennes first took to the stage as the Danish Prince in 1995 to critical acclaim.
Theatre producer Thelma Holt says, "Ralph simply wants to do it again. He wants to do it in a way that makes people listen to the play.
"All the people who have played Hamlet feel as if they haven't got it as exactly as they want it to be. The better the actor, the more dissatisfied he is."

He's playing Hamlet on stage actually. And it happens a lot. Do you think an actor or actress shoulder always play either goodies or baddies? Where's the challenge in that?

| No offense, but i always find shakespeare very depressing. I feel that it is one of those things that your english teacher forces you to do at school. Its also very confusing cause i can never understand a word of the plays. I was once given Romeo & Juliet to read after completing my work. I tried read the first page and then i just flicked through it pretenting i was reading it. As you can tell i wasnt impressed. Maybe if Ralph Fiennes does it, it will make it more interresting. |

Well i guess if an actor is good at acting as a good guy or a bad one, well then we can say he is a good actor. But there are great actors which only act as either one meaning there either afraid it might hurt thier carear or just dont want to make that transition.

I got to see Ralph Fiennes play Hamlet a few years ago in New York City. He was absolutely amazing. Some of the things that made him a great Hamlet will make him a great Voldemort. His mesmerizing eyes, his coldness, his intensity in purpose and his depth of character. It looks like I'll have to make a trip to the UK next year!

Ahhhh.. it's good to see Voldemort expanding his horizons. Given the choice between Shakespeare and torture, I'd go with the former. Good on you, Voldie. I see those anger management classes are paying off. |
