| | |  JKR updates diary: Evanna is "perfect"
JK Rowling, author of the Harry Potter series, has updated her online diary (fondly referred to as her 'blog' by many fans). While this update does not reveal any new information about book seven or any news about the 'wombat' tests, she does make reference to the Order of the Pheonix movie. While in London for the British book awards she was able to visit the set. She writes, Quote:
Apart from the pleasure of seeing Tom Felton, Devon Murray, Alfred Enoch, Sitara Shah (and waving through the door at Bonnie Wright, who was busy being tutored), I had a great time talking to Dan and Matthew about books, Rupert about how his sisters never wind him up, Oliver and James about how difficult they find it to wind each other up, and Emma about Hermione's love life. Also met, and had a long chat, with Evanna Lynch (Luna), about whom there is only one possible thing to say: perfect.
There is also a cute rant about the troubles of finding paper to write on while in the middle of town. Also, in the rumours section, Jo comments about the brief marriage between Emerson Spartz ( Mugglenet) and Melissa Anelli ( TLC) (ironically occuring on April 1st).
Thanks for the update Jo. UPDATE: There is also an update in the extra stuff section in which Jo talks about the pressure on girls to be thin. Quote:
I went to the British Book Awards that evening. After the award ceremony I bumped into a woman I hadn't seen for nearly three years. The first thing she said to me? 'You've lost a lot of weight since the last time I saw you!'
'Well,' I said, slightly nonplussed, 'the last time you saw me I'd just had a baby.'
What I felt like saying was, 'I've produced my third child and my sixth novel since I last saw you. Aren't either of those things more important, more interesting, than my size?' But no – my waist looked smaller! Forget the kid and the book: finally, something to celebrate!

See? I really think everyone says that Evanna's perfect to play Luna! I mean, c'mon.. When JK says you're perfect for a role.. That's gotta mean something! Go Evanna! I can't wait to see her and everyone else in OotP! I really really think she won't be such a let down like Katie playing Cho.

I agree completely. The thing is, JK must have looked at Evanna with a writer's eye. She would have known exactly what she liked in Evanna and what she did not. So, if JK could say Evanna was the best for the job, it's the best compliment she can ever give, and the best Evanna can receive.
