' Becoming myself: Reflections on growing up female', a book written by Willa Shalit, is set to contain an essay written by J.K.Rowling about growing up as a woman. The book itself contains the reflections of sixty-seven women, including Jo. People magazine has published a quote from JK's piece: Quote:
There are many things, I liked then and now, about being a girl. The friendships you make...I like women's perceptiveness and ability to empathise. I like their ability to juggle 19 jobs before breakfast, and I prefer women's shoes.
The book will be released on April 18th.

There was a book in Australia called 'when i was a girl' which was written about the childhood's of some of the most powerful and succesfull women ever.. in case you're interested.
