In addition to her OBE, J.K. Rowling has been chosen as one of nine people to receive the rare Order of the Companion of Honour, chosen once every 100 years, at this year's Queen's Birhday Honours. The author of the Harry Potter series and Fantastic Beasts saga stated she was "deeply honoured and proud" by the recognition.

To mark 100 years of the Order of the British Empire, this year’s awards are the most diverse ever. In this centenary year the Honours List has granted a great number of awards to individuals from a Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) background.

Many congratulations on the honour to J.K. Rowling. No word yet on when and how these nine will be awarded with their recognition, though it will happen this year.
