[img]http://www.snitchseeker.com/images/news/jkr_80.jpg' align='middle'> J.K. Rowling gives other authors a chance - JKR does not want any more prizes!! Summary: Article: [from an article in The Telegraph about the list of candidates for this year's Whitbread Book Awards, the winner of which gets £30,000]
J K Rowling's fifth book, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, is an unexpected omission from the children's shortlist. Bloomsbury, her publishers, said yesterday that the all-conquering author had asked them not to enter the book and that she no longer wished to be considered for any prizes. |

I think if she didnt do that she would get every award on the face of the earth somehow for OoTP. She is doing the right thing I think let some other authors could appreiciated for their work too.

[COLOR=purple]Yeah I've read that book. I own it actaully. But it's nowhere near as good as Harry Potter...(the second Charlie BOne book is better than the first I think) But J.K.R I think deserves to win pirzes, but it's good of her to step down for a bit

That was nice Rowling, very thoughtful. It would seem like overkill i think fir everyone of her books to win all those awards every time. Way to go J.K.

Thats great of her, shows she is a true artist. However, I think its also great when other Authors get recognition for their hard work, there are many fantastic authors out there.

That is so nice! I just love how she can get basicly any award there is, and she decided to let everyone else have them.
