J.K. Rowling has donated a hand painted ceramic egg to be auctioned off, with proceeds going to benefit the Multiple Sclerosis Society Scotland, a charity for which she recently held a Masquerade Ball. Quote:
The Harry Potter author is among a host of celebrities, including Scots actor Ewan McGregor and painter Elizabeth Blackadder, who have painted their own designs on eggs for a charity auction.

It is hoped the event will raise between £5000 and £10,000 for the society. At least 150 guests are expected to attend.

I have a lot of respect for Rowling. It can't be easy being hounded by the press and us horrible fans all the time and yet she still manages to go and do really nice things like this showing us how thoroughly decent she is. Oh, and she writes flippin' good books to which is another reason to love. Lets hope the egg raises lots of money.
