| | | Italian HBP Release to Fall on Traditional Holiday
The Italian edition of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince will go on sale on Thursday, January 5th at midnight. This is just in time for a traditional Italian holiday that takes place on January 6th. La Befana or "the giver of gifts" will visit the children of Italy and leave candy for the good and coal for the bad. Quote:
So when kids wake up on the morning of January 6 and scramble to see what the magical, white-haired 'Befana' has brought them, some will no doubt be hoping to find the book.
Quote:
The Italian publisher, Salani, has organised a lavish evening promotion in a major Rome bookstore to usher in the release of the latest volume. Young fans will be entertained with games and magic as they wait the last two hours before the book officially goes on sale at midnight, at which point cash tills will presumably start ringing merrily.

LOL, but not really fair is it, I mean, the kids whose parents couldn't make it to the midnight sale, will think they've been bad kids because they didn't get HP....

Awww...I love the Befana. It's an excuse to get even more pressies.
I'll probably buy it if they'll bring it to our bookshops. Or I could order online...although the names are changed horribly. I mean, Madam Pomfrey becomes Madama Chips...
