SS member HPChick4Life recently wrote to Afshan Azad who played Padma Patil in ' Goblet of Fire'. Afshan responded with answers to some questions she'd been asked and also sent a signed picture from the movie.

Here is a transcript: Quote: What's your favorite movie?
Afshan: I don't really have a fave movie. I enjoy all movies which have an intriguing storyline.
What type of music do you listen to?
Afshan: I love Indie music such as 'The Killers' and 'Arctic Monkeys', but I'm into all types.
What's your favorite gadget?
Afshan: Probably my laptop! As I can take it everywhere with me plus it's got the internet!
What are your favorite hobbies?
Afshan: I love listening to music, reading books, hanging out with friends and family.
What do you do for fun?
Afshan: I enjoy swimming and going to the cinema with friends! I also am a shopaholic.
Which of the Harry Potter books are your favorite?
Afshan: Definitely book 4: Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire!
Do you have any pets?
Afshan: No I'm not really fond of animals.
What's your favorite color?
Afshan: I've got lots! At the moment it's green but I also love pink and lilac.
Who would you like to meet that's famous?
Afshan: Brad Pitt!
Do you agree that Hollywood needs a taste of the Indian culture?
Afshan: Yes I do agree that the Asian community needs a breakthrough in Hollywood, but it is hard for Asians to do this. If more and more people audition then we would have a greater chance. So go and audition because you never know when you might get your chance!

I'll have to presume she wrote something witty and intelligent as I can't read it! It just keeps coming up either too small or too large and both ways are impossible to look at for long! Good on her.

That is an awesome interview there. *loves* And being an Asian myself I agree to that the Asian culture needs a breakthrough in Hollywood. That's one superb letter - and it's a letter worth reading.  Afshan is a very good actress and I like her a lot.  I hope she continues to play Padma.
