British actor Ian Kelly has been cast as Hermione's Muggle dentist father, Mr. Granger, in Deathly Hallows.
He is rumoured to appear in a sequence involving Hermione placing a memory-modifying spell on her parents (her mother is being played by Michelle Fairley) before she heads to the Burrow.

I really do wonder how they're going to use Hermione's parents...they're going to show her modifying the memories? If so then I really think the movies should be called Hermione Granger and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 & 2. It's actually sort of funny... :/

I can't wait to see Hermione modify her parent's memory. I mean, I know it's horrible and sad... but it will be such a great and emotional scene for the movie!
He's just like what I pictured Hermione's father to look like, too! And he seems like he would be a dentist, ya know, he kinda has that "Yeah, I'm a super smart dentist, that has a witch for a daughter." look to me....  GO DEATHLY HALLOWS! Whoop-whoop!
