| | HBP knocked off the top spot
' Half-Blood Prince' has been knocked off the top spot at Amazon by Christopher Paolini's ' Eldest' (he also wrote the record-breaking book 'Eragon'). Quote:
"At least I'm young enough to get through the trilogy before I die," Paolini, now 21, told Reuters. He still lives with his parents in Montana, where he writes seven days a week.
Paolini's parents self-published Eragon and took him on a tour of schools, where he dressed up in medieval costume to promote the book. Eragon caught the eye of publishing giant Random House, and filming has just started in Hungary on a movie of the book, with a cast that includes Jeremy Irons and John Malkovich.

I think you should all take some thought over this. THE BOOK WON'T BE NUMBER ONE FOREVER! IT'S BEEN NUMBER ONE FOR OVER A MONTH! Isnt that good. Seeing as shes broken her own record again! It must be a good book! Give it a read, hes a great young writter. If we didnt have talented young ones out there than the future for books will be a drab one at that!!!

The prince has been dethroned. Well couldn't be number one forever. I think HBP was a wonderful book. |

ive not read Eragon...so i'm not sure it shud be on that spot...but if that book deserves the top position then its good...
anyways HP has remained on top for very long ....so it makes no difference.

Pity, but with that guy...it's kinda okay, my mum has read his other book and she loved it....like john malkovich and jeremy irons by the way, so we know the cast of his book is good...

I am a bit depressed that Half-Blood Prince is no longer at the top spot, but Paolini's book does sound excellent. I'll have to read it to make sure it rightfully owns it's position above HBP. |

| Well, if Eragon is any proof, this book must be fairly good (He took long enough writeing it, too!). I'm glad that Harry Potter had to 'lose' to this book, rather then some stupid one. Also, Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince had a good run, so its not like it was right after it came out. Congratz to Christopher Paolini! |

yea! Congrats Christopher Paolini! I loved Eragon. It was a fantastic book. I'm currently reading the Eldest (seeing as how my cold has left me with barely anything to do). I am kinda shocked to hear that so many people have read Eragon! In my town, not many people have.... It was bound to happen that HBP would fall. again... Congrat's Mr. Paolini!!!
